The three best things about this video are (1) Ronnie O'Sullivan and another 147, (2) Selby's chicken haircut, and (3) the audio being so out of sync that you hear the shot hit and drop while Ronnie's walking around the table to the next one. Truly fucking epic.
rocket just moves faster than the sound of the shot dropping, is all.
Dragon4eva /bow /salute
(4) Watching Selby's smirk gradually diminish as the break increases.
You made me feel better about watching this!
lmao perfect.
What a lucky crowd, they got to see a 147 and then got to hear ANOTHER 147. Two in the same session... wow.
I am dead
hahaha
Hahahahahahahaha
Lmao
😂
Ronnie proves the rocket is even faster than sound :)
Greatest comment i read so far
Rofl
This comment had me lol
Hahahaha had to comment 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😳😳😳
even the sound couldn't keep up....
Yep🥇🥇🥇
Haha One of the best RUclips comments I've EVER seen. Brilliant! You've just made me smile on a very Shitty, Dull Day.
They couldn't even get the date right, 2007, youtube, pay attention! Seriously, what a performance!
Lagging more and more each shot :-(
cees vegh lmaooooo
9:47Crazy crowd..they're silent when Ronnie completes the 147 and then go wild when he shakes the referee's hand 😂 #whatamagnificenthandshake!!#ohthattimedelay.. 🙄
The audio is out of sync fool
@@hewasaskaterboyshesaidseey5927 You don't say?! Fool...
One of my favorite 147s from Ronnie. That opening black was something special; the perfect pace to glance off the jaws into the pocket.
Watching ronnie play improves my game
As a musician I wholeheartedly agree. Studying the greats is how we learn and Improve regardless of sport or instrument oh and practice, practice, practice 😁
Ronnie is the only reason i watch snnoker
u w0t m8?
Same here boy
Same here bro
If you're a Ronnie fan /watch?v=MS4LDeQZADw Thank me later ;)
I feel sorry for you then.
Fix the sound
There is nothing wrong with the sound. You are just a LOT further away from your computer than you realize.
benzzodude Way over your head.
***** It does not seen as if you get it either.
Think about it for a second Andy.
Google the difference between the speed of sound and the speed of light.
Then read my comment again.
judsonkr I'm using headphones
***** Exactly ANDY.
You also might want you have your sarcasm meter serviced. It appears to be malfunctioning.
Of course you might not have one at all.
Apparently Ronnie plays faster than the speed of sound !
Nothing better in the world of 'sport', 'gamesmanship' than seeing Ronnie on fire and being perfect
The rocket! faster than sound!
The way the sound was going, I thought he’d be in the dressing room by the time they started clapping the last black lol
Snooker is not an easy sport as such. Building up skills to play it consistently at world class level is not given to many human beings. Making it to a World Cup tournament is not a simple task, not even for those in the position to get there. Reaching the Final of such a tournaments doesn't happen every day, and certainly not to every talented snooker player. Finals that are defined in a deciding frame are not that common. Century breaks are, within this circle of talented players and at this level of the game, a very special achievement and not easy to make. 147s are even tougher, and some of the players at this very level have never got to get not even ONE.. SO, reaching the Semifinal of a World cup of Snooker, and close it down with a 147 in the deciding frame; that has to be at the reach of only specially talented players; and implies a whole bunch of superlatives to go with that person... Now, on top of that, making it look SO easy is just outrageous :)
you said it all, mate
except this is a semi final lol
Thank you Captain Obvious
That’s why he’s the best.
S Rowdy oops! :)
crowd:
9:43: not
9:45: not yet
9:46: nahh
9:48: *referee handshake* YEEAHHHH!!!
lmao made may day XD
-ths crowd is , and this is not a imagination, doof wie Stroh ( in steirisch germans )
I loved it. Hahahahahaha
LMAO HAHAHAHAHAHHA
The audio of the whole video is out of sync is all.
@@littlehorhey5285 He knew it, he was just making a joke ...
For me the best of all time. On his day unbeatable!
Things I adore :
1. Watching Ronnie win
2. Watching selby lose
3. Watching Ronnie beat selby
4 watching Ronnie get a 147
5 watching all of the above !
Same thing for me, but I don’t know why ?
4.FENOMENAL
Why is it so easy to want to punch Selby in his smug little weaselly face?
Never mind, Ronnie took care of that for me!
@@THEfamouspolka You twat. Selby is a really nice guy and great for the game.
Selby seems to be a nice and decent person...
The snooker here is top class and thanks for posting it; but coming from the official world snooker youtube channel, I personally would have expected the video and audio quality to be higher :(
The 5 Second soundtrack delay is extremely irritating.
9:48 wonderful that Ronnie shake referee's hand. And the crowd seems notice this much more than the 147 (silent)
Lol
Watching Ronnie in full flow: beautiful. Watching him get a maximum: wonderfully beautiful. Watching him do it in a decider: superbly wonderfully beautiful. Watching him do it to Selby: there are no words to describe that beauty.
fantastic stuff, audio way out off sync, bit annoying., but thanks:)
When I see this. And I feel I can break 50 today
I could watch o'sullivan all day no1 can do what he does on a snooker table he makes it look so simple and its so hard left hand or right hand he is such an amazing talent xx
balls of steel to do that in the last frame so good!
Even they will melt boy
Fjg
Watching this in 2020 I wish they Synchronised Commentary or is my phone faulty ?
This is it ,the most fantastic & unforgetable game in snooker history, The brilliant Ronnie O' Sullivan .
He potted the last black while the commentator was calling 37 !
MrNonch1 at what point during a 147 do you achieve 37 points? Come on, man.
Lewis Bolland
Uh.... in the instant between the 33 and the 40?
Yeah. That’s it.
I’ve just heard the applause 6 years on.
i feel sorry for the kid at 09:53..wanted to shake his hand and even follows him to shake it but got rejected :D
Simply the best! Best ever
09:50 That poor kid. He does eventually shake a hand, but it's some guy's.
Always enjoyed watching Ronnie play. This guy is a master. One of the best I've ever seen do it.
Nice to hear them practising on the other table...
That sound delay is like watching the match 6000 feet away through a telescope.
What a player. Quite amazing.
What a way to finish a match and another great thing about this John Virgo
9:55 the kid with the hand in the air... lmao
John Virgo: there may be a chance
Ronnie O’Sullivan: hold my chalk
And that’s why beyond a doubt he the greatest player who ever lived
Hands down the best ever
Ronnie reminds me of my younger days 🤣😂🤔 been playing snooker ever since i was old enough to enter Wally's billiards room in good old Rotorua, NZ, even had the opportunity of a lifetime and played the one and only Alex Higgins in an exhibition match when he came to NZ in which he scored a 109 break on me ,been an avid player since but Ronnie O has been so inspiring I just love watching him play, he still has some year's left in him. 😇 greatest of all time.
Being from the US (Texas) I don't see Snooker here at all. Having said that, I'm new to watching these matches and I have to say I am hooked. Couple questions for you lads: (1) what is the size of the tables and (2) is O'Sullivan the best there ever has been?
As for size of a snooker table, the playing area within the cushion faces shall measure 11 ft 8½in x 5ft 10in (3569mm x 1778mm) with a tolerance on both dimensions of +/- ½ in (+/- 13mm). Being from Texas, you'll appreciate that this really is a HUGE table !!
To answer your second question: yes. Though other players may have been more successful in terms of ranking titles (Stephen Hendry) all top players, commentators and unbiased amateurs agree that he is the most talented player the game has ever seen, a real snooker genius.
thanks for the info. I've been watching his and other's matches and it seems to me that his presence at the table is so much smoother and confident. And I definitely notice the "intimidation" factor. Reminds me of the same thing when Tiger Woods was in his prime here in the US on the golf tour.
Absolutely. Add that intimidation factor to his genius and skill and you've got a real snooker beast.
I'm American, too (Pennsylvania), but live in France. I'm a pool player, and first got hooked on snooker while travelling in Ireland five years ago. Since then I've watched 30 years worth of matches, catching up. And I can assure you, with all due respect to Hendry, Davis and etc., Ronnie O'Sullivan is the Michael Jordan, the Tyger Woods of the sport. At his best he hardly seems human. Watching his matches, the effortless perfection of his play, is so damn relaxing and entertaining I've no words for it. There are hours of him doing his thing on RUclips Enjoy!
I agree JQ wholeheartedly. All of these matches I've been watching have "good" players but like you say, there is something about the way O'Sullivan moves around the table that makes him stand out. His shooting is absolutely spot on. Rarely misses. This has to be so intimidating to the other players.
Sound brought to you by EbdonAudio
Underrated comment for sure
Please, fix the out-of-sync audio. This frame is a masterpiece and deserves the respect.
After Peter ‘the misfiring missile’ Ebdon, Ronnie the rocket must be the second fastest break builder in the history of snooker.
Nice to watch to see Ronnie when he fucked up Selby with this last frame !!
Mark's not too bad. I've been watching him grow through puberty. Its that Ozzie who gets my goat, checking everything twice before making his shot-then stopping halfway to check something else. Painfully slow.
Totally agree robotson ahhh
Рони это легенда любимец миллионов.
Mr O'Sullivan at his clinical best.
my crystal ball told me that selby told ronnie "i guess i choose the wrong career".
Auf dem offiziellen Kanal vom wem auch immer ist die Tonspur von der Bildspur verschoben. Der Bildausschnitt stimmt auch nicht.
Favoloso come sempre
deserved this frame for that opening black. balls of steel.
I don't know if anyone noticed?
The content was outa Sync?
A delay of 3 secs untill Ronnie was on Yellow?
He Caught up on the "out of Sync" 🙂
Its looking so easy when looking ronnie play.
Even the sound couldn't keep up...
Was the sound getting further behind as time went on?
I love to see Ronnie beat Selby even in a different sound realm
poetry in motion
Really amazing player is my fav !
took me 6 straight minutes to notice the sound :0
So confident and spontaneous
old school karate film sound going on here .............
So glad didn't have to watch Selby stumble around the table as he smiled and played to the spectators.
Author No1 vffxzzx
NO COMMENT......Thank You.....Would you review the 147 against Ding (Final, 2014...)
I must admit I take a perverse joy in watching O' clean the smirk off Selby's face as he cleans the table.
I think Selby was mesmerized as the rest of us.
Nice to see Selby get his comeuppence
I laughed as he completed his century to be greeted with 5 seconds of rapturous... silence!!! LoL 😂
I'm sure at one point he took a shot before we heard the previous shot!!
makes it all the better that its against selby
never a truer word said
Steve Wilson Exactly! Mark Selby, son of Peter Ebdon! lol
clive everton. the doyen of commentators. legend.
iam just wonder how can someone be so good and brilliant
Man's a legend.
its crazy im watching this 2km away the 6 second delay on the sound from the video
Awesome Content
Unfortunately the audio isn't synced with the the video.
There's not many players that can do that. Wot a way to win a match. A living legend.
BEST OF THE DAY
legend says that the audio still plays long after the video was ended
That's what I call finishing in style!
Wonderful
Awesome Game Playing
The sound was only 1 shot off close enough
He's the greatest 20 majors 37 ranking titles the most premier leagues the most centuries and 147s keeping hendry Higgins Williams Selby robbo ding trump now Wilson at bay entertaining us for decades keeping snooker afloat in the most competitive era ever keeping sponsors happy and viewing figures up all on his own terms never been a slave to the game or politically perfect....... Only Ronnie cud finish a match like this his achievements are like his longevity simply legendary, his aura and presence is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines and now at 44 he's world champion again for the 6th time in a format he does not enjoy......... Scary🙏
Ronnie O! The best in the world!
Selby sat there look a newly born pokemon.
Didn't even get put off by the ref repeatedly announcing the score while Ronnie was on his backswing
Amazing Ronnie
RUclips: ...
Me: Seen this already
RUclips: different channel bro
Me: sweet!
BEST OF THE YEAR
My favourite player. GOD of snooker.
Most naturally gifted player of all time. Effortless!!
Most under rated snooker player
RONNIE O'SULLIVAN
ronnie is the best 😘and he the reason I love watching snooker 💞💕
The absolute best snooker player in the world...
was this synced with a potato?
I don't think so. It sounds more like it was synced using a toaster. It could have been done with good quality potato though.
even an aubergine; which is the hepatitis C of the vegitable world; could have synced it better.
HardTekBen You know, I love ALL vegetables but you're so right about eggplants... Good analogy.
Irene Veronica Why thank you. I've been watching a lot of Archer lately so my use of sarcasm and inappropriate analogies has sky rocketed. It's becoming quite a real problem IRL hahaha :/
Good one.
Watching this game makes the rules of snooker more easily understood.
The sound on this video is delayed by at least two seconds and it sounds awful.
2 seconds? 5 seconds more like
Amazing! Ronnie is the best.
I think every generation deserves to develop and build their own legends. But there would be some all time greatest for which the time will stay still - for me, Ronnie is one of them, alongside Federer, Schumacher, Zidane, Jordan and Messi.
Federer is 3rd in tennis
