oh my goodness! my mother and i have had it for a year and never used it cause we couldn’t figure it out. i am about to try it again though, it is 6:16 on a school day.😂
It works. I think the common problem is people are pulling it wrong. Clamp, twist, then pull it down, keeping the iron verticle to your head instead of pulling it away from your head.
I know this is an old video, but you want to drag the hair down the strand, not out from your head. So twist and pull downward towards the floor, not out towards the wall. Think of it kind of like curling a ribbon with a pair of scissors.
I keep watching these and no one is rotating the tool 180 degrees then deem it the worst hair tool ever! It’s kind of frustrating to watch reviews when they read the instructions to clamp it at the root and rotate 180°, then pull it down the hair shift and they’re turning it about 30°! You can’t say it’s the worst whoever if you’re reading the directions but don’t know what 180° is, right? I haven’t gotten to that part in this video yet, I hope she knows what 180° means
Yes, girl!! I just bought this and am kinda struggling tbh😬 I think my problem is definitely that I need to slow down... After watching you and seeing the different types of curl that came out it helped me realize I was going too fast. If this doesn't start working by the end of the week tho it may just go back and I'll get a wand..🤣
Im a total DA when it comes to curling tools and burned myself so many x s went back to rollers. Lol. Im thinking of buying but think I need something higher quality and more power.
Your technique isn’t the best you are actually only doing an inch before dragging it straight and you are not holding is correctly you need to do 180 hold the end with the other hand to stabilise it then you need to be slower on the drag and keeping the 180 instead of just pulling it out fast and straight at the end. it takes a lot of practice when first using these irons.
@ Debby Taylor Great explanation! You have helped me solve my problem with it. I was making some if the same mistakes you just described. I was getting a lil disappointed in my learning abilities until I read your directions. Again thankx!!
It didn't work so well for me either. My hair stylist used it and it looked pretty nice but me, not so good. Kinda and flips. Lol it was awkward to use. Takes a lot more time. Taking it back.
When you clipped your already curled hair is genius! Do you do this all the time when you curl your hair? Thank you for the tip and for uploading this video. (This is one of my first time watching your videos).
I wish I would have looked for this video before I bought mine!! Struggling as well. I noticed you were having trouble with your left side... same! Right side, not so bad, left side, poo! Lol Thank you for this!
I feel like the curve of the iron matches the away from the face twisting action on your right side of your head, and it seemed that was the side that was easier for you. But idk if the curve direction matches with an away from the face twist on the the left side of the head so idk if you have to position it differently maybe?
Girl, it was not you it was definitely the product. I just bought it and watched your video in hopes you’d teach me to do it the right way lol I tried everything just like you did and no curls lol. I figured this was gonna be something easy to use for those tough beach waves curls that some of us girls struggle to get I was wrong 😂. It’s going back to Target lol thanks for the video!
My hair is similar in texture and length to yours, and I feel the same way... the result isn't great and I feel like you have to keep it on your hair too long, it definitely doesn't glide well. Mine is going back. I feel like it would work better on shorter hair maybe.
In another vid review, the person said that facing the iron one way, it straightens, and then facing it the other way, it curls. Also, they twisted it in full rotations from root to tip, and that created curls.
The problem was u didn’t know how to use it lol but the curls look nice ...Leave the flat iron in ya hair longer then glide it down ...will make the curl pattern better...I just got mines let’s see how it works...
I jut bought this. It better to do smaller sections of hair. Turn it at the way around and go really slow. Tip... grab the end and hold it up towards the middle of the curler. Need to go much slower then you were doing. That's more for the wave look. If you want curls... MUCH SLOWER. Like a pause and go.
Just bought it on major sale. Same problems. It should be easy from the get! Don’t like it. It’s too inconsistent and requires too many redo’s of the same pieces.
I have one of these and I love it. I have shoulder length hair and it works great. I just kinda keep twisting as I go. I do agree it’s not the smoothest when sliding it but it gets the job done quick. I think there is a way to lock the temp but I just don’t know how. I accidentally did it and it showed a lock on the screen
You're not messing anything up I have the same thing and I didn't like it it wasn't curling my hair at all it was straightening it Skill from 1 to 10 I give this a 3
From watching, it seems like when you don’t overthink it, you do it as you would a curling iron and it works. Then when you think about it and try to do it per the instructions, you can’t do it cuz you’re not twisting enough. Either way, seems too challenging 😂
Yea same for me…it’s not GO for me👎🏽I know how to use flat irons and curl my hair been doing it for 35yrs. I can get it to curl with this iron BUT not one curl looks the same AT ALL. Looks a mess. No consistency. And I have zero color or bleach in my hair…and still does not glide, it pulls and actually frizzes my hair. Thats great that some of you have had good luck with it and it works for you! I will continue to use my flat iron and wand lol😉
It’s not just you I just got this and I have been at it for hours and I couldn’t figure it out. I watched this vid in hopes that it would help but it didn’t get me where I wanted
Hey.. so your problem is.. you aren't rolling down the barrel. You have to start at the flat part and roll down the twist of the iron. Try holding it with cord part facing up... if you have to until you see the shape of the iron... then it's super easy
It’s just like the tyme. The tyme took me forever to use but it’ works better than this. Hold it like you are revving a motorcycle, it’s all bout flip of the wrist all the way down going outward. I always struggle with my right side idk why you just gotta hold it differently.
Its easy to use this as a straightener but so hard as a curler. I bought a normal straightener and was able to curl my hair much easier with it. I’m going to leave the curling to the curling rod, only using this as a straightener...
I feel like it's how you are using it. It looks like your right side is easier to do. Try putting your right arm up over your head for the left side. I have used the Tyme iron and it was a learning curve for sure and frustrating at first. I kept trying and it got easier. I purchased this one today because the plates are ceramic titanium. I find the Titanium only frizzes my hair out, but ceramic smooths it better. I will apply the Tyme method on it. I use the Tyme method with my t3 single pass flat iron and it works well, but the curl doesn't last as long as the Tyme multi-purpose does. I'm hoping this will keep the curl longer and smooth my hair. We'll see.
So glad I'm not the only one struggling with this thing!
How's the experience going??please tell me should I buy it not? My hair's are wavy
I agree!
oh my goodness! my mother and i have had it for a year and never used it cause we couldn’t figure it out. i am about to try it again though, it is 6:16 on a school day.😂

I had the exact same problems, finally gave up and went back to my traditional iron. Did more in much less time.
It’s the iron. I watched this in hopes of help but the only good thing I found here was you 💖💖
I totally agree
I agree😁
It comes with practising...
I had the exact same experience! Does it work and we just don't know how to use it???
my husband just bought one yesterday for me and i cannot figure the curling out at all and it seems once i get a partial curl it straightens back out
I can’t get this thing to come on! How does it work? Help!!
6:12 actual process
i love you wow thank you
I had the same problem it wasn't gliding
you often loose the hair from the heatplate when you glide through your hair. make sure you keep the hair on the plates. :D
Looks great if you can get it to work right. First day looked great still working o it to emulate.
Yes, girl!! I just bought this and am kinda struggling tbh😬 I think my problem is definitely that I need to slow down... Agreed
@ Debby Taylor Great explanation! You have helped me solve my problem with it. I was making some if the same mistakes you just described. I was getting a lil disappointed in my learning abilities until I read your directions. Again thankx!!
I’ve tried this too ! I’m super low maintenance but love my hair curled. But this wasn’t an easy tool to use! So I’m not keeping it 😂🤦🏻♀️
It worked perfectly fine for me and I think your curls look absolutely stunning.
It didn't work so well for me either. My hair stylist used it and it looked pretty nice but me, not so good. Kinda and flips. Lol it was awkward to use. Takes a lot more time. Taking it back.
It works awasome to you... I got the Karmin strightener and I'm really glad, is great
You have such a good heart! Love your style.❤ Vicki
When you clipped your already curled hair is genius! Do you do this all the time when you curl your hair? Thank you for the tip and for uploading this video. (This is one of my first time watching your videos).
Definitely need to do a 360 not 180 and go super SLOWWW. It's taking me forever to get the hang of.
I was looking for help as well! It did not work any better for me.
I wish I would have looked for this video before I bought mine!! Struggling as well. I noticed you were having trouble with your left side... same! Right side, not so bad, left side, poo! Lol Thank you for this!
I’d love to see how you normally do you hair with a curling iron
I looked up this video bc I am totally struggling! But I will try what @Tofu Tuesday suggests!
definitely not just you, I have it and tried numerous ways on using it, it ends up pulling out a lot of my hair aswell which is really annoying
Amen to that!
You're supposed to continue to twist as u go.
I feel like the curve of the iron matches the away from the face twisting action on your right side of your head, and it seemed that was the side that was easier for you. But idk if the curve direction matches with an away from the face twist on the the left side of the head so idk if you have to position it differently maybe?
You actually have to keep turning it.. Its works great!
I love the curls this give me! I also have shoulder length hair so I feel like this may work better on shorter hair!
I have the same problem with curling hairs :/
Was really hoping this would work because I have such troubles curling my hair. Thanks for the video
Girl, it was not you it was definitely the product. I just bought it and watched your video in hopes you’d teach me to do it the right way lol I tried everything just like you did and no curls lol. Same here girl! I had my eye on it for a while and bought it last night and was so disappointed ☹
Hey girls I bought this too and the first time it gave me nothing. But I found it I hold the iron vertical and almost the full 360 it worked!
@@Maya-hq3nv I’m glad it worked for you I ended up returning it 😕
@@-itsMadi I returned it 😕 now I’m on the hunt for a new one.
I believe that rnco spray is just hair spray but not actual hair protectant? Unless it’s a new formulation?
Okay... not just me.... sigh....
Edit: just watched Glam Girl Gabi and she shows holding the opposite way. Worked perfectly!!
I have a well-rated Remington wand. I was curious to see of this would be good. Thanks for doing this video.
This is the third video I’ve watched. I’m praying you know what 180 degrees is! Hehe
My hair is similar in texture and length to yours, and I feel the same way... the result isn't great and I feel like you have to keep it on your hair too long, it definitely doesn't glide well. Mine is going back. I feel like it would work better on shorter hair maybe.
I just bouht it today. you need to practice and go slowly. It works
Looks good though. I feel like I looks stupid with waves and curls and it’s so sad. You look beautiful
Struggling with mine. Today is the second day I’ve used it. Day 1 my hair turned out better. I read the instructions and still struggle
Def need to turn it more to get the curl. More of a 360 than a 180.
In another vid review, the person said that facing the iron one way, it straightens, and then facing it the other way, it curls. Also, they twisted it in full rotations from root to tip, and that created curls.

Update? I'm wanting to get one but want to know how well it works lol
@@aliciad9522 works gd
I had the same problem with the Tyme iron. Just as weird as this one.
Isn't it like the Tyme iron?
I purchased it and can’t do the waves !
I jut bought this. It better to do smaller sections of hair. Turn it at the way around and go really slow. Tip... grab the end and hold it up towards the middle of the curler. Turn the temperature dial to the left and hold it for 2-3 seconds to lock the temperature setting.
You're not messing anything up I have the same thing and I didn't like it it wasn't curling my hair at all it was straightening it Skill from 1 to 10 I give this a 3
Girl hair is never easy 😂😂😂
I think you’re suppose to do
360 and go slower than what you did. Also since every hair is diff maybe try raising the temp
... my parents got me this one for my first hair heat tool, neither of them ever really used anything of the sort so you can’t blame them.
I appreciate this so much
ok thank you for posting and commenting i was so lost i dont like this i was hoping it would be easier on my wrist
From watching, it seems like when you don’t overthink it, you do it as you would a curling iron and it works. Then when you think about it and try to do it per the instructions, you can’t do it cuz you’re not twisting enough. Either way, seems too challenging 😂

Yep I m here struggling
Try doing the curler upside down away from face
I had same experience 😆
No I can't get it to curl at all
No it’s not you !lol Very well illustrated !,Thank you
I noticed you weren’t pulling down , you were pulling out and as a result the hair was falling off the heat plate.
8 mins in, my exact experience with mine 🙄
I just bought it too, and it's very disappointing.. I will struggle on with it as was very pricey.. You are lovely tho, thanx
It's that darn iron! You have far more patience than me.🙃
No wonder I couldnt get this to work right because I'm doing it the wrong way🤣
It’s not just you I just got this and I have been at it for hours and I couldn’t figure it out.
You are supposed to glide it all the way to the ene. You let it go about an inch from the bottom
It seems like the Remington tends to curl the right side more than the left.lol
Casi 😅 no te entendí pero como la compre necesito ver videos
I did the same thing wrong hold it horizontal to head not vertical
looks like you might as well just use your normal curling iron or straightener lol
too much work
It’s just like the tyme. The tyme took me forever to use but it’ works better than this. Hold it like you are revving a motorcycle, it’s all bout flip of the wrist all the way down going outward. I always struggle with my right side idk why you just gotta hold it differently.
I love mine it dose it’s purpose
The left side of my head turned out better than the right side lol
Nice, I liked 🥰
After seeing all this Struggle i decided that I'm not gonna buying it.
I have it, it works pretty good for straightening I just haven’t figured out the rest of it 😂
Its easy to use this as a straightener but so hard as a curler. I bought a normal straightener and was able to curl my hair much easier with it. I’m going to leave the curling to the curling rod, only using this as a straightener...
I hate this thing. It does not work on my hair.. The pieces just come out straight! It didn't slide gently! Mine is up for sale for $15!
Nice Video
omg i just realized this is three years old and i just bought this. it’s horrible. returning it. 😢
You curl you hair different on your left and your right side. You Can see it if you look on your own video
Returning mine immediately. Same thing that happened to her happened to me. It’s not you this just isn’t a good product.
OMG you are verry funny :))))) :*
I love it, your not use to curling your hair with a straightener. You’re doing it wrong .
That grammar though...stop trolling if you can't spell
You need to slide twist slide a little more twist more slide more twist more till that strand of hair is done
I’m starting think this thing is a pile of junk and I’m taking it back.
Supposed turn it more
Ur meant to turn it twice lol
My hair falls out of this thing, it does not grip at all, useless!!
Not straight hair. It moved rolling hair. I know-how is easy.
The problem isn’t you. It’s the product.
Thank you! I was struggling lol

Worst tool ever!
Maybe watch a tutorial video before trying it out.
You get a curl when you do two twists
This product sucks
