THIS is exactly what I experienced! I am taking it back. I thought it was me and how I was doing it. Thank you for posting this so I know it was not just me!
Start with the logo facing out. Rotate the wand until the logo is turned to the back. You have to turn the wand all the way and use smaller sections of hair. Also be consistent in the time. If you hold the wand in one spot too long then you will create crimps in your hair strands. Hope this helps!!
How far are you supposed to turn it? Because I tried it several different ways, I wrapped my hair around it and twisted it like a curling iron and it did nothing but rip out my hair and make it frizzy...
I thought this product looked pretty cool, and I just got a new haircut, so I bought it to try it out. Yeah..sometimes the curls come out cute...sometimes they come out mangled. My hair isn’t color treated at ALL. Now here I am googling how to use the thing because I thought I was crazy. Glad I’m not alone!
I bought this thinking I’d save time, but no. I can’t use this thing for the life of me. Some curls look ok, others look hideous and some come out half curled half straight. I thought I was the only one who was having problems with it.
Same here! This video made me realize that it's not me, it's the curler. My hair likes to have a wave ... and somehow this thing makes it less wavy? And I really can feel the ends of my hair in the thing, which makes me feel like it's tearing my hair up. Mangled, for sure!
Like all new products it needs practice and little by little will get the look we're looking for I just bought this I used for first time and I had exactly the same impression she is having but me personally I think practice will help then we'll love it
I think it works best if you hold the loose end of your hair toward the front while pulling iron through. Also, I think temperature doesn’t hold very long so you might need a break to let iron heat back up.
I hate it read all the comments and tried all types of ways going down vertical helped some might do better on short hair but too much work im taking it back!
Okay I'm editing review the person who said start horizontal with name on top flip until u can't see name anymore was right. Tried again and got perfect curls all over. Will see if I can replicate again.
I've definitely had to practice with mine! So I work Hask Argan oil - Repairing hair oil through my hair first, I love this oil so much! Then I set the tool to 300, you have a lot of hair so using half inch sections will work better, an go 🐌 slow. Then, if you use the tool horizontally opposed to vertically you will get a tighter curl. Vertically will give you the wave.
In a different video review, the person said that facing the iron one way straightens and facing it in the other direction curls. They also twisted the iron in their hand -- full rotations -- from root to end so that it didn't straighten the first part and curl only at the end. Does that make a difference?
i bought mine today and have watched countless tutorials. everytime i attempt to curl it it just straightens it. i have naturally curly hair but i don’t think that should have affected the curl. my natural curls are only defined if i scrunch. also, no matter how tight i grip the clamp down my hair slides right out
It's literally the most frustrating hair tool I've ever had. I thought it was just me. I needed tips and I watched your video , and I haven't even been able to make a curl. So it will just be a hair straightener from here on out. Lol
Watching this video was like watching myself trying to figure this thing out! I’m sure more trial and error is necessary for better results if you’re willing to invest the time. I’m not so it’s getting returned. Thanks for sharing!
I purchased the Remington twist and curl multi styler. I personally don’t like it. I have very thick and heavy hair. I found even setting it to the highest temperature the curl wasn’t great. I am able to get a better curl using a traditional curling iron. The other problem I had was after setting the temperature to 410 it kept going back to a low temperature and it styler wouldn’t allow me to increase the temperature back to 410. I will be returning this product to Target.
Frustrating. I know. Same thing happened to me. Fortunately my styler was miss marked at Walmart. They put a $1 clearance sticker on it. So I only paid a dollar. I feel your pain.
I wish i would have seen these comments before i bought this yesterday 😢 i like it for curling my curtain bangs, that's literally the only thing i can get it to work for. I mean at least it works for something but it does nothing for the rest of my hair. It rips my hair out, which is already thin AF and doesnt need any help there. Ill stick to my wand Curler. Which is also a Remington and I love it. I also always curl away from my face ❤ i love the look
Ty for the review. I think there is a learning curve with this maybe twist 280 then pull down to get more curl. This is supposed to be a 2 styler in one so theres that. Oulling it down will flat iron it. I personally would spend a little more and get something decent. I have a Remington flat iron. Its okay for the price but not top of the line hair tool.
Long smooth strokes lol if you stop and speed up you get creases! It happens to me with my straightener! I looooooove mine! It works perfect for beach waves 🥰 mine is landot though…?
This hair tool is HORRIBLE. I'm taking it right back tomorrow. When I say I ended up ripping my hair out with this thing I'm not kidding. If I could post a picture I would from all the hair fall on my sink when I barely curled my hair. And it doesn't do what it says it does by any means. And I paid $58.00 for this thing. Ladies don't waste your time. It's brutal on your hair and scalp trust me!
I'm taking mine back. This thing is horrible. I don't want to have to be a contortionist just to curl my hair. It's hard to keep clamped while running hair strands through it. Pulls more hair than it curls.
I got one of these for Christmas. I have thick hair but it holds things very well. Like I can straighten or beach wave my hair and it will look the exact same for days till I take a shower. I don’t like my hair to be super curled. Would this be good for me??
I wish I had come here for the review before wasting my time! This is the absolute worst!!! I tried working it through my hair every way I could think of, and it just doesn't work. It keeps leaving this awkward gap in the middle of my hair. Like it waves, and then there is a gap, and then the bottom has a pretty curl. Then it just stops curling because the heat setting keeps changing. I have to use a setting of 400 for anything to hold in my hair. This tool keeps changing it to 310 and won't let me go any higher. Seriously, it is the most frustrating tool i have ever used. My hair is way too full and thick to have to do tiny sections and twist it at the end. If you have thick hair, you're better off with the wands.
This multi styler works so well for straightening my hair! But when it comes to curling it’s so complicated and it doesn’t work for me! I tried to do the stuff in the video but it just comes out straight. Help
I’m only 8 mins but I can see you’re using it like a flat iron so the hair is straight. You have to curl it still like a curling iron. Took some work for me to get the hang of it too
@@marivelchapa4686 it kind of curled the ends of my hair, i tried following the instructions in the video but it basically straightened my hair instead of curling it at all... maybe im doing it wrong
This wand is an aggravating flat iron .. and bc it’s going to have hair in for so much longer .. burns it crisp .. no curl definition.. the results are inconsistent.. a complete mess.. the design LOOKS in theory like it’s a perfect idea , but no, can’t see anything good from this.. not even as a flat iron
All it did, no matter how much I turned the wand, was straighten my hair. I really hoped it would create better curls than my tapered wand. I’m going to return it. Not worth the frustration.
If you’re thinking about buying this product, I would suggest that you don’t. It’s brutal on your hair and it just doesn’t work like we’re led to believe. Does more damage than good in my opinion. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money, I should’ve known…..cheaper and faster….too good to be true.
I think you put down the wrong hairbrush. The hairbrush you said in the video is totally different from the hairbrush. You put down in the description.
You aren’t twisting it out enough and holding it in each piece long enough. And if you have real oily hair it won’t work as well on it so buy a shampoo that will strip the oils.
You are doing it all wrong. Once you heat straightened that piece, it’s hard to go back over it and change the shape since the heat locked in the straightening you did because you weren’t twisting but clamping instead. The other problem is that your pieces were too thick to begin but too late now since you heat set it straight with your clamping. And lastly, of course it’s going to only curl the bottoms and leave the roots straight since it’s getting pulled tightly as you continue to pull the curler through the ends of your hair sections…
User error. You’re supposed to twist your hair after your curl it to keep the curl. Can’t just let it drop and expect it to work if you’re using a straightener to curl 😂 came for a genuine review but you’re not even using the product correctly. Also calling one curl “ratchet” when other people could be wanting that type of curl.
LOL. This isn't a genuine review? mmk. And yes, one curl was ratchet compared to the other super refined curl. If people want that type of curl, great! But I want my curls to be consistent on my entire head... I'm not sure who wouldn't want that.

I just bought a flat iron and thought about returning it for this. So glad you posted this, it saved me the frustration.
I'm glad I could help! This has very mixed reviews but a curling iron is easier for curls imo and a regular straightner for straight!
I just bought it and i love it super easy waves. Just need lile other comments is better is you go slow and do turn it 180

I use it and have no problem. It takes practice and you should twist it more than 180, like 360 and slowly pull down.

You didn’t really turn it 180, you only turned it a quarter of the way. Try doing it turning halfway to all the way around and it should work better!
