If you have a bowl of rice for your meal, bite your meat or fish or whatever the main dish is then you put rice into your mouth and eat them together. Otherwise your plain rice will be leftover.

i recommend you ramen noodles over soba since you are westerners. Soba is much healthier tho. My husband is American and i am Japanese who are both living in Japan currently. i hope you guys enjoy staying in Japan.
