The biggest issue LoL has… is that half of your loses feel like you’re losing to your team or the game, only half the time do you feel like you lost to the enemy team & it’s players.
It literally is like that. Yesterday I checked my stats on rewind.lol and it turned out the Shaco Effect is real and Shaco players on my team are ~20% more likely to lose than enemy Shaco players. As in, there's a ~15% winrate difference when Shaco is on my team compared to when Shaco's on the enemy team. It's not an overstatement to say that in 90% of games I'd be better off if my jungler was actually AFK, because I learned I have stats proving it. I win my lane by a huge margin in 80% of cases _(talking about 1500+ gold at 15 minutes)_ and the remaining 20% usually boils down to being camped to infinity and beyond by the enemy jungler, which means I'm at best even with my enemy or at worst that I can't get near minions to CS without getting ganked and dying, while my team loses it 4v3.
@@LecherousLizard maybe you're just bad at playing with Shaco? Have you ever stop to think that it's all about you? Maybe you don't know how to utilize a jungler like that? Ik this sounds weird to you (since you're bad) but your playstile actually influences other players in the game. Maybe you're always pushing lane while shaco likes to gank when lane is pushed into you? It's just easier to set up his stuff like that. Maybe you don't ever give him a chance to gank for you. While at all those reasons you would be amazing target for enemy Shaco. As i said Shaco likes to gank when you keep your freeze. Have you ever think about it like that? A modern Sona would be Sona with a ghajipillion modifying bonuses and shady tie in meme-y lore with new gamebreaking abilities. For example... I present to you, the singing scourge "Wellerman": a pirate from Bilgewater who claims he saw a murder ghost murder an entire crew by marking the ground with X after a drunken night of bar hopping. He has an accordion and sings shanties while on the high seas, uplifting spirits and maintaining teh culturez, telling tales of kooky captains, kinky religions, and terrifying horrors beneath the waves that he's definitely seen... at least that's what his tattoos, single white eye and scars say. Each melody (each a different shanty reference) deals aoe dmg of different types (physical, magical, true) with a root or charm ult that refreshes all allies' cooldowns if hit (move over Senna heals, cd redux is true bardic inspiration). Each shanty also buffs ally stats, no shields (shields are too OP) just a color aura so you know Veigar just got a 23.7% ad bonus for 1.46 sec (who will be reporting for using the wrong shanty). But wait! Once he hits lvl 11 he scales like Pokémon Go's EXP based on which melody you played more (Kayn style). Need AP? Spam the Drunken Sailor W. AD? Q up Leave her, Johnny. Your Swain just barely missed the penta? Ult him so he can ult+e again and get that runner and you get that assist gold, cd redux is an amazing new feature that's definitely not broken which is why every new champ will have it... Wellerman is the perfect modern Sona that buffs the team and fills any existing team comp gap, while fleshing out the lore. He's also got dark skin for representation and is not a pandering sexy girl until the new Star Guardian skins... and he took me maybe 7 min to type on mobile with a stylus because broken screen. Looking forward to the fan art and hate! New champs are teh bestest!!!1
Quote that i found on twitter some time ago: -"Describe League Of Legends!" -"League is a game where the less you understand the more fun it is. Once you truly learn how the game works and what impacts the outcome of the game, the less fun you have."
That does imply ONLY LoL suffers from that feeling. But every game, when you get the hang of the mechanics, loses interest. Actually, LoL is one of the few that you can always improve and that doesn't hit that hard.
League was funnier in the old days because people didn't know how to play League. That's frankly about it, the longer League will exist and the more people will elevate the skill floor necessary to be "good" and let's be frank, League isn't the type of game you can have fun in if you're not "somewhat good"
this is one of the best explanations ive read, as a player for about 4 yrs now who never really grinds its sometimes frustrating that even if i grow as a player, the skill floor also grows higher as time passes, add to that the huge number of smurfs and high elo players using low elo accounts to boost which is pretty much a recipe for disaster, would like to see riot address this or at least a video made about it
I think at the end of the video when I talked about novelty factor, that's kinda along the same lines. MMOs are like this too. As kids we loved runescape so much because it was so full of random BS and activities and minigames, but no one would ever play that stuff anymore or do random crap because it's "XP waste". It's such a try hard culture that comes from no longer just wanting to explore a new experience.
I think League is starting to develop the same problem that has affected games like WoW. Riot is making champions with abilities that fit a lot of different roles. They're giving you the option to change your playstyle with items. This doesn't really sound bad first BUT when they give you the option to buy items that make your Jinx dash like a jungler, items that make your Udyr go invisible like an assassin, items that can give every champion Vayne's W, there's gonna be a problem. Nothing is unique anymore. Every champion/class can literally fit in every category now. I know the new season is gonna be a fun experience, but I fear it's not gonna last long...
I think It can also be good, I always though that items dont matter at all, there is 1, maybe 2 ways of building a character and you just do the same things over and over again. Probably this "problem" will remain in the game even with the new items, but for a low elo player who is more into the casual scene I find it very interesting. Role playing games such as D&D are one of my favourite things, they are really open and customizable, still, if you try to play a barbarian going all-in with magic (not good idea) you are going to have a bad time combatwise because the class is not ment for it. The same way, yes, some champions may be able to take other roles but the kit itslef gives them enough flavor so that sona assasin is not the same as a zed assasin even if you build them to be that way. We'll see, at least I'm interested :D
It's pure nonsense, what are you talking about? There is no item what will give you the ability of a champion yet... just what are you talking about? Even if we talk about those what can heal or give you a jump - they arent good in adcs or tanks. Also, no, melees are still bad idea on bot, so as any tank or warrior in botlane. This is nonsense.
The reason many come back is because we need the dopamine from a game that feels rewarding when you win against other player, if you dislike FPS games, it's impossible to find this dopamine anywhere else because every single PVP games (competitive or not) is dead due to lack of funding and insufficient funds for marketing.
I would love to come back to league, but when 3v3 got removed it just broke the game for me. A game mode with a style that I like better with a small and dedicated fanbase and the games are shorter a little bit. I could not care about the long wait times, I just loved playing it.
It was the perfect map to practise Makro-Elements. Farm, Trade, Jungle-pathing, Jungle-scouting, skirmishes around objectives, i even use it to learn How to Play with unlocked Camera. 2 people less that could inting your game was nice. And mostly shorter then 5vs5 at this Point in the past
Plus the smaller map and team roster made champion/team synergy more important than individual champion picks and skill level. As long as you could communicate efficiently, often just with 1 person while the 3rd holds a lane, you could be across the map and cheesing the enemy with a whacky combo within 20 seconds. Comebacks were a lot more feasible too, I had way more intense, close games in 3v3 than in 5v5 where you either stomp or be stomped.
It's still played by millions it's hardly dead, but you don't even need 20 mins to know it's a toxic fiesta. I think people who watch this video already know it and maybe look for extra push to quit or something lol.
Remember that time when Riot nerfed Khazix's evolved q and then compensate with a base q buff, making him one shot the adc without evolved q? Oh yeah it's still there
Its a survey that people voted for lol You keep asking why riot wants it when most of the people wants it as if its a bad thing well maybe for people who dont want it but apparently more people want jt
Can I just say. What made this game amazing to me was trying to have my own "pro" scene where I make friends then turn it into a team. Then as a team we improve to reach our goals. Maybe a tournament win here and there. Now it's so hard to make friends. Everyone is upset. Everyone is angry. Everyone is frustrated. Gone are the days where u put in 15 games of a champ because u had fun playing it and then it clicks and u play another 40 and go "wow I actually improved and look at my record" Now it's one bad story after another. I miss the good old days. I really do.
this one is so over looked... we need moving logging screens back with update specific soundtracks and stuff I remember when I would log in and see the new animation loggin with its music it would get me hyped
Yesss those were the days. this new client feels so machine made and boring. I miss hearing the old jhin moving face and soundtrack to hype me up in the good ol days.
"you dont get excited or happy when you win" absolutely true, every single rank game is too frustrating to play. League is a team game, you will have to deal with coinflip teammates which is already tiring, but also has to deal with elo boosters and smurfs especially in plat and diamond elo which increase the toxicity even further.
On an even matchup playfield (not smurf), me being a bronce now, but with silver peaks and so matched with only silvers... It gets tired to proccess a game and hope you win cause if not is a 20+ minutes gone of life. The toxicity is palpable. Games can be either enjoyable first 10minutes (given you win the early) or the later 10min (midgame powerspike) but later on is "frustrating and hard" because everyone will try to either win or troll (if trollings/childrens/onehandedppl). Witch is not fun at all, given the game will likely be 10+ minutes more of time. SO let say you win, you dont enjoy the win cause overall you didnt enjoy the majority of the game already. My comment was aiming to add: is on every elo/mmr the feeling.
Eh, not exactly, and duo queue or occasional flex/clash makes game much more enjoyable. Ofc things need fixing, but I would say at least 45% of ranked games are pretty fun and enjoyable. Even in plat/diamond.
yeah this is kind of a stupid comment... just don't play ranked if you don't get excited or happy. Also, ranked has literally always been the same. There has always been trolls, and the setup is the exact same it's always been. Play normals with your friends, it's far more entertaining. People say that new champions is the reason people still play League but idk, TF2 hasn't had an update in 3 years and it's average players are the highest it's ever been.
Yeah, they should probably go ahead and give themselves 6 months fixing the fucking client and most bugs. They should try and balance the game, and while those 6 months are passing they should release 20% or 30% less skins and content if they're short from staff (which i highly doubt.) And bring back the goddamn login screens. NOBODY wanted them gone.
and thats exactly what they are doing with valorant right now. a new agent per episode. where we have trash maps like split and haven (just my opinion) and they wanna push new agents. thats so bad because the game will go into the loop of buffs and nerfs because every new agent has a counter agent which is too strong for the new agent and since riot wants people to play that new agent they nerf the old agent. just wow. i wont even be surprised if valorant will downhill the same way.
It's substantially easier to create a new champ that you largely don't have to worry about item interactions or champ interactions with or compositional strength or OP'ness. Why would they spend time balancing existing champs when they can spend 60% (generalizing) of the effort on a new champ that will distract 90% of the playerbase away from the pressing problems facing league.

thats like saying lifting weights is a competitive format for boxing, they are related and one may help the other, but until you are on a team communicating with 4 other people and a coach you wont get that, even flex queue and clash are missing what you really need to be competitive, but also how can your mechanics be good enough to be competitive if you cant even win against the shitters in solo q
@@Kazandro but what he said was true, no competitive gamer ever take their ranked games seriously, not in csgo, not in dota, not in overwatch, and certainly not in league, teams only get real practice in scrims. Imagine playing in NA soloq for practice and end up facing korean players and chinese at worlds.
I don't play solo queue. I play normals, I'm not tryharding for some guy to afk or troll what I view as a competitive format. The game was fun and some things are still fun. I say it all the time - the new model that Riot has employed is "rage playing". They want us to be so stressed and angry that we play for hours just to get a few wins. I don't even know what the business goal of that could be because it makes me 1000% less likely to want to buy a skin or interact with their brand at all.
Riot doesn’t ask themselves “is this fun to play against?” when designing anything. Yes, give Twitch a dash. Gonna be so fun when all my abilities miss because he dashed then flashed while he pentakills my team by right clicking at ridiculous range from stealth.
A new map would be nice. I miss the days when they’d give the map little makeovers for the seasons. And I realize the dragons change the environment (and I was and remain into that), but now I think they’re really not gonna design new ones because they’ll essentially have to make several versions of one map every time
Since they removed Dominion and TT I don't think they will ever release a new map. In my opinion Nexus Blitz is a dogshit of a game mode. All the other game modes are fun, but after about 5-10 games I am done with them. Mainly because they all happen on Summoner's Rift or Howling Abyss, which I have already seen enough in Ranked and ARAM. TT and Crystal Scar actually gave a whole different experience by playing the same champs on a different map...
playing dominion or twisted treeline was such a nice change of pace. I miss things like hexakill on twisted treeline, hide and seek on the dominion map, I'm just really burnt out on summoners rift. As the only map right now it's become stale and kind of meh.
Removing Dominion was a FAT mistake by Riot. I remember how fun and refreshing Hide and Seek custom games used to be on Dominion. Why is league dying: Everyone: Balance and toxicity Me: Is riot alergic to tutorials or something? The game is too complex for new users and there is no safe way to learn jungle (or anything really) without having somone babysit you through training. Did you know that the champions' hitboxes are on their feet? Did you know that the key under Esc can help you target champions only? Did you know that following the default item recommendations is not always a good idea? DID YOU KNOW THAT LOW/HIGH GROUND IS A THING IN THIS TOP-DOWN VIEW GAME???? I sure didn't until last month.
Holy shit... HOLY SHIT! HOLY SHIT!!!! I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. WHAT THE FUCK? But I concur with you. Tutorials are needed and not only for new players but for advanced. Improved tutorials (and many more) and game modes and I think the game might become the best ever no joke.

It's come to a point where all azir players can predict the vicious nerf cycles - for instance, he ALWAYS gets one at Worlds. It sucks. Ive since moved on to eve and the like, just feels so much better the few times I can actually tolerate this game anymore.
They're just bitter because they can't win worlds. I'm already ok with the Philippines not having a team for this game, because they disregarded it so much.
ironic isn't it?...its their fault because they wanted 'fast' games so they could move up the ranks. Now no one plays at their 'level'. They ruined what was fun for what got them wins. And tencent listened. Ghostcrawler listened. To them only. And ignored the constant complaints. And banned us who kept bringing up the fact they were going down the wrong direction.
I decline instant games in the queue. I suspect that something went wrong and I will be getting a bad game. Probably someone dodged or poorly constructed team to "reduce queue times" etc.
Most of high elo players are spending time to master one single lane... It would be a joke if a main high elo midlaner played adc for many games, that's why they have to wait for so long to play in their preferred lanes...
Solid video! I started playing league in 2011 and got hooked immediately. The game felt fresh and even though I now realise it looked like crap and was super unbalanced compared to today, those times were still more fun than todays game. Especially around season 3 and 4. Atleast from my point of view, I feel like back then, the game wasn't as team-centered and objective focused, and you could actually 1v9 if you were good. Nowadays if you're winning lane but the other lanes are losing, atleast in plat+, you're gonna need a miracle to win. Because mechanical prowess and skill expression isn't integral anymore, you rarely get that "Hell yeah we won because I carried", and that's a huge loss for the feel of the game. Nowadays I play ARAM because the community is more wholesome and that casual all brawl style of play is just more fun than having to think about wave management and jungle timers.
I'm playing this game less and less these days for a lot of the reasons you mentioned here. I'm really glad League is falling out of my life honestly because the toxicity and game quality is getting to be insane. There's no point in even trying to get better. I can go play golf every day and if I improve, my score will directly improve. However if I play League, nothing guarantees my improvement will gain me LP, especially if I can only play a few games in a day because I work. The game is not rewarding, and even climbing is a masochistic experience. It's not even fun to climb because you have to fight through a nuclear wasteland of toxic players. I think the balance is excellent given the difficulty of accomplishing this. But the game needs some sort of troll rating. We need to be able to choose between more wait time or more trollish players. I don't even care about toxicity if it's only their speech, that is what mute is for. There needs to be two distinct categories of toxicity that we can filter and allow. They need to add an RP option to report trolls, allowing you to spend from 0 to 5 RP to add some conviction behind your insistence that the player in question be punished.

@@ethannorton4131 No, the game is trash cause all the new champs they make make no sense (all of them are multi role champs that the roles they play are not polar opposites... like ADC/support or Support/assassin or Tank/ damage dealer etc)... the balancing is complete garbage (just go watch a pro game where in a teamfight in mid game Orn does 2000 damage and Ezreal does 2300... one is a Tank the other is a "glass cannon" adc/mage)... the mobility of the champs now is so high and there are so many insane jumping abilities that half the time you're being "caught out" from outside of your screen ffs... The game is trash cause it's only made for the pro scene... every change they make is designed for pro players... normal players are being shit on by RIOT all the time... I've been playing since 2013 and I quit cause you literally don't enjoy 90% of the games you play... why would I play 8 hours to enjoy one game??? Anyway, you probably are not a video gamer and you just play league cause if you were you would understand why it sucks... they try to "break the mold" and make new cool stuff but the mold is there for a reason... to uphold balance in the game... the holy trinity of DISTINCT roles (DPS, Tank, Healer/support) that applies to all games is there for a reason... to uphold balance... all games that have ever broken this mold were turned to complete garbage and so has LoL... If you don't understand this then you need to play some more video games...

Making a sol more accessible to other players took the good part out of him. Hard to play, worth to master. He was just so good back then. He was like azir. Just so interesting because of his playstyle.
but well, riot wants to make every chmapion around the same dificulty, its not like there are 150 champs in the game and each of them should have a different dificulty to play and master. hopefully Riot buffs Aurelion or smth since he's getting a really good skin next patch and they need to sell the skin soo.
@@stormdragon2529 yea he might get buffs but his kit aint ever gonna be as fun as when he first came out no matter how much they will overbuff him to sell his skin and then nerf him to oblivion like they always do with the low playrate champs :/

playing azir feels like shit before they nerfed the FUCK out of my boy he was amazing, his soldiers had range and felt like they make a difference now they feel like a damage gate... if azir had the soldier dmg on his normal auso and spawns soldiers for q and then e only it would propably be a bit better since he doesnt have this weard shit going on with range and positioning for soldiers
@@stormdragon2529 I get why riot would want to make everyone similar in difficultly, but the challenge in learning them is what makes it satisfying to have mastered them. It's why people play Twitch when they could just switch to Kayn.
"Winning this game has become more of a short term relief than a satisfaction," holy sh#t you hit the nail on the head. I quit playing league about a year ago now because every time I even looked at the client icon I'd get a little stressed. That might sound stupid, but it's totally real that even a rare curbstomp victory in ranked left me with a sensation of "oh, good, that didn't go to hell in a handbasket." Which isn't supposed to be how winning feels, i think.
@@p0rc41music5 the only problem with that becomes what is even my reward for playing well then? Because I cant control an inting player or someone who genuinely doesnt get what they are doing or why it's wrong. And we still lose despite the fact I'm 12/7/15 with 15k gold. That happens way more than people wanna admit. Tonight I lost back to back games because in the first none of the team gelled we just didnt play late game on the same page at all. That's fine it happens. Second game I had an inting nocturne who kill hunted a 1/11 adc even if it left us in a bad spot. Both games I finished with a fine/good score. Second was better than the first. Both games left me with a 'what more could I do' feeling. Compared to a game like CS (I have a lot of experience there) it usually leaves me with a 'I could have done more' even in tough losses. That's kind of a problem IMO. The game shouldn't be leaving you with a 'well i dont feel like i can even do anything about that' Like the video says it's just poor quality gaming st this point.

Good. LoL is a waste of time and rank is nothing but for show. Once you had found the life outside, you'll realized that how much regretful you are for wasting bunch of times playing LoL.
One of the coolest ways Dota 2 balances is by nerfing weaknesses or buffing strengths. This creates core hero identities where heroes excel at the thing(s) they were designed to do but also have exploitable weaknesses. This introduces a very rich form of team composition. In League of Legends, things are designed to be homogenized but with the exception of new champions having overloaded kits, effectively making older champions kind of obsolete- the ones that aren't have been either reworked, buffed extensively, or certain new items or rune combinations make them strong.
I've only been playing for a couple of months and I'd never played a MOBA before, I loved it, i loved learning and experiencing the new champions, i loved learning how to rotate and play as a team. But now it's just focusing on all the little details trying to win for others that don't deserve it. really has me down on the game.
Wait until you've learnt pretty much everything about the game and the slightest mistake like your support stealing a minion from you tilts you. Or more advanced things like your jungler pushing out your lane when you're freezing.
@@ArcaneTricksterRS I've already experienced these things and everything makes me mad it seems, like poor mid macro or something when I jg, or a shen who never ults, mid who roams poorly and takes your wave to compensate, etc. even my sup ruining my freeze or when I set up a freeze for my adc they just push it all at once.
@@Judigilb And it feels like the most frustrating thing is not mechanical misplays like not dodging a skillshot, flashing on a wall or being unable to take full advantage of a kit, like Akali for example. The real tilt comes from brainless decisions, like bad runes, bad itemization, stupid trading patterns, taking bad fights, terrible macro, bad lane management etc. Like, you'd expect from someone in Plat that has been playing for 5 seasons to know when to take a recall after picking up a kill but being unable to shove out the wave and instead leave it frozen in the middle. Instead, they just sit there with no mana trying to push and out and dying to the enemy jungler.
@@ArcaneTricksterRS Well this is the weakness of soloq, soloq is a place for mechanicly good players. You'll next to never tun into great macro gameplay, I'm at best a Gold Player as a supp Main, the easiest way for me to steal Wins when I get ahead bot + Tower First blood: bruteforce a lane Swap with toplane, Take Tower + Herald and move into the midlane. This simple macro Play Just wins Games, If you realy want to Play League and get the Most fun Out of IT: Pick Up 4 premades around your Skill lvl and Play flex or draft Pick. The Game feels completly different with a 5 premade stack and only than becomes truly enjoyable, when you Play as intended.
@@anblueboot5364 Pretty much agree with everything. Mechanically, I think I can be good, but I'm not tryharding much, so it doesn't always show, but where I get my strength is through knowledge and smart play. I used to play Sivir (still do sometimes, not tryharding though as I said), and I used to perma shove bot, take tower, switch top, take tower, go mid, take tower and just perma shove and have an advanced line farther up the river where my team can technically go to, meaning extra jungle camps (that I usually take) etc. Simple, yet extremely effective.
@@hiiambarney4489 I mean... in line with the theme of the video, Sona's damage ratios are trash now. In season 3 her Q had a 70% AP ratio and it has a 40% now. Tbf supports get a lot more gold than they used to, but going a cheesy full AP build is nowhere as satisfying as it used to be.
It boils down to a few things: 1: Champion power creep. Even champions with simple kits like Sett are ridiculously strong. How are Season 1 champions supposed to compete, aside from waiting for a rework? New champions can do everything, more damage, more mobility, more survivability while having CC. New champs also don't get locked out of ranked after release, so you have to deal with busted kits. 2: Lack of new content. We actually lost maps from old seasons (no more Dominion/ TT). The reason for that is the codebase sucks (if you are a longtime player, big shock). It doesn't have map editors that other strategy games have so you can't make a new mode for fun yourself. 3: Reports are meaningless. The fact that players can int, afk, troll, and ruin games without punishments make the game frustrating. Apparently, Riot is working on it, but it feels like empty platitudes rather than actions. 4: Cashing out. This game now feels like Riot is trying to milk it rather than fix it. They are spending much more effort on marketing Esports, skins, and Kpop of all things than on fixing fundamental issues with the game. Client is broken and barely works.
Well, it's been creeping way since Viktorr is around. The problem is that Riot's monetisation of champions from what I've speculated for a long time will be their eventual demise. How are you going to justify people getting champions unless they are good? Not assuming that every player in the game cut their teeth and grinded out every champion in the game. Which is why I still turn back to Dota((WC3)), Dota 2 and some old WC3 maps that is kind of a MOBA. When a core part of gameplay is being sold instead of being free, why bother going through bad gameplay experience?
@@NatronGG I agree bro, if they love their work they wouldn't been releasing champions/items there are only fun if u are using it. I personally feel- after playing Arena of Valor for 3 seasons- that Tencent buying out Riot has a major part in all of those. AoV's new champs are so broken. The reason I am number 2 Ranked in WI with Mganga isn't because I'm actually that good- it's because nobody plays with Mganga since there are so many mid-mage champs that are-literally- Super Saiyan in comparison. The problem with LoL is that it moved far away from it original goal, which was to be an easier Dota that didn't stress you as hard as Dota did. They way strayed far from that path and now find themselves being as complicated as Dota. The problem here is if I wanted to play Dota, I play Dota. I didn't play LoL to play Dota, I played LoL because it was LoL.
Dota is way more complex still. Even if League nowadays is very complex, the game sort of happens by itself regardless of your game knowledge. Dota just won't flow naturally if you don't know what you're doing, which is very frustrating to new players because there might be no toxicity at all in their matches but it just feels like you're stuck for 40 minutes in a huge puzzle
I just played against an Aurelion earlier today and it was the game that gave me my Silver promos. Honestly, the W rework was so bad and I really wish they would change him back cause I wanna start playing him again too. I loved him on release
I hadn't seen an asol for all of 2020 and most of 2019. Saw one recently and I felt that bad for the champ I wanted to feed him kills so the player actually had a good game. FOR THE RECORD I DIDN'T COS I DIDN'T WANT TO GET BANNED OR RUIN IT FOR OTHERS but seeing that people don't get banned sheesh I probably could've and nothing would've happened. Riot really just needs to start listening to their community again. They need to ask themselves "is this going to be fun to play as and against? Is it the right choice to make?" and they need to sack the balance team, jeez I swear they don't even play the game at times.
1. Power creep; especially every single new champ comes out OP, and more OP than the last. 2. There's so fucking much: 152 champions, 760 abilities and passives, 251 items, 63 runes, 15 spells. 3. The AFKs, Feeders, etc... but worst are the sandbaggers, people who figured out how to lose without getting banned. 4. Riot's response and attitude toward the community.

Lmao I got perma banned for telling our Wukong Jungle "Go back to the jungle monkey boy" because he wouldn't stop farming CS in my lane. I Got perma'd for the most mundane stuff, yet I see people actively swear or be extremely toxic in general and never get an offense on their account. I could've gotten a Perm Mute and it would be fine, all my offences where for voice chat, a perm mute would fix that but instead Riot just bans people. League of legends could return IF they go back to old client style, simple, fast and not-full of bugs and crashes. It begins with the shitty clients and shitty decisions towards the game. The draft music is shitty, old drafting were way cooler, more thrilling and exciting, now bans just feels like ah w/e if they pick X we pick Y if they pick Y we pick Z (that happened before but with way more excitement. in my point of view) A lot of reworks went really bad and only few of them got nice (Morde/Voli vs swain;galio, poppy, graves, yorick, etc) league of legends is mainly played by soloQ instead of the idea of pre-built 5vs5 (flex, etc), so many changes about this made the game really unfair, like, s3~s5 you could more easily carry a game than right now, like 1x9 or 4x5, what happenned? They nerfed the champions that had this kind of potential, making soloq more sad bc of afks and trolls (which is an eternal problem they wont be able to solve 100%) The dragons were much good option when they gave gold instead of crazy buffs, it was balanced and fair. This league of legends is so much different in terms of FUN. I wish they could release this current LoL as League of Legends 2 and release the old season4 League of Legends for fans. They can do that easily, they don't do because they are truly afraid of the numbers showing how bad they invested and how bad they decisions were.
TLDR: the client is shitty a lot of stuff is shitty, so many bad decisions that doesn't make up for the good things that happened i would trade all this shitty skin fragments, hextech boxes, new ui, runes to be able to play once more the season3 old league of legends
The only one season when i knew how to play on jungle role, ez camps, ez champs (played sejuani and ww). Nowadays I have no idea how to jungle (become a supp main), it feels like everyone is raping me whole game even if i playing "in meta op champ". Back in season 3-4, jungle camps was just a minions for jungler for getting an XP, and small help to make a gank (cdr from blue buff and slowing from red). When now -- order of camp clearing matters too much (diff XP), dmg from camps, on which side you started, approximate path of enemy jgl. God, I just want to get an XP and make an ambush at some lane, i don't want to hold a billion tons of information, i don't want to lose a whole game because I cleared a camp 10 sec. later than average ppl.
I don’t know why but they making everything into healing :conqueror, rune, champ that scale with healing then the duel look like “i overheal you ,i win” ,why healing ???
it just in general a huge mistake on riots part, they threw the 2 most powerful healing runes into damage focused trees, this healing directly scales with your damage, its not that there is too much healing atm, but rather there is too much dmg and as a result too much healing, i remember the days when zed didn't just win the lane at level 3 because his W E Q combo did 60% of my health bar while he has just a long sword, ever since then original mastery update, damage has just been off the charts and in almost every solo Q meta since then burst has been in general king, the rune system just in general needs to go imo
this is the main reason why i'm stuck in silver , i dont play properly one lane but i play a bit of everything, not enough to know everything about each of them
It will pay off eventually when you reach high elo. But for now, before plat, restrict yourself to 2 roles. That is all you can do since this game has become a coin flip regardless of what other people say.
I mained him from season 4 up to season 7 but afterwards he was so underwhelming with all the new broken stuff that I quit playing him. I hoped for some changes so that his mobility wouldn't be countered by a slow which every champion gets for free nowdays. And maybe atleadt give him a real ultimate since all his abilites are fucking autoattacks. Compare Udyr as a melee champion to Aatrox. This has to be joke. Season 9 was my final season because I felt like this game was wasting so much of my time.
I used to know this channel for Riven tips Now it has progressed so much which is good I am glad someone makes such a well structured video about issues/topics concerning league of legends Thank God someone with a louder voice mentioned the fear of the itemization rework... They are about to break the game All champs are balanced around items By reworking all the items they are reworking the whole balance of 100+ champs I am afraid next season won't even feel like league of legends anymore I actually loved how they kept innovating each season but I feel this time it's too much I like the idea that all champs are op and not all champs are under powered But this is about to make all champs have such a complete kit that it's scary One of the reasons why Lucian is unique compared to other adcs is because he can dash Now we're giving all adcs a dash ? IDK I am afraid they are going down the road of wow where all classes have a similar and full kit. A stun, a root etc they all are the same Yes it makes all classes equally good but there is no class identity I am unsure if I explained my point well and I doubt anyone will read this but anw that's my opinion on the whole situation
Lucian feel unique compare to other adc (at the time) because he has a dash and DOUBLE HIT. His passive is what make him bonker. Just like yasuo, free gold by just existing.
The bit about the novelty factor really hurt. I got so nostalgic thinking about those "first moments", like when I played old sion and built nothing but Zeals, and then bragged how good it was to my friends. Maybe that's what I loved so much about the game back then, how crude and casual it was. Nobody knew what they were doing and it was just so fun to see so many people experiencing the game their own way with those own jank builds. Idk. Sorry for the rant just got emotional at midnight cause of that lol.
21:00 This was the literal straw that broke the camels back for me. I was so pissed about them changing aurelion without any real reason, making his kit so much more uninteresting. He was incredibly fun to learn, due to him having clear weaknesses and strengths (and his personality), but that is all gone now, since his stars suck ass to use.
@@willnash7907 ah yes I remember the days when mastering Azir felt so fulfilling and that his only cons was the difficulty, bad positioning, and champions with gap closing abilities Now it feels like I need to be fed early game to even catch up
I think that they may do kind of a mix between the two. The double tap on the Q and the movement speed from finishing W feels way better than the old asol. I used to like the old E more but it is what it is. In my opinion they should give back his old W with a movement increase when interrupted and a shorter cd if stunned (god i hated these 4 second). They could even do something like urgot W in some sense
I suck at League of Legends. This comment is biased as hell. The biggest problem i see with League of Legends is that it's not okay to be bad at the game. Not a problem unique to LoL as most competitive team-based games have this problem. But holy hell the toxic backlash i receive for making mistakes is staggering.
I have to agree. But if it's ranked you have to know the basics of the game and of your Champion. If not it's kinda your fault... Yet most of the flaming chat could be prevented with a chat voice, people would smile and be friendly...
@@kcapt96 Mate I have 2 accounts in Diamond and I get flamed even when try-harding in Gold... flame rarely has anything to do with actual skill Here's how I see it: League is DESIGNED to feed your ego. To 'reward' you for playing by making you 'feel' important. And when you feed the ego you get toxicity. When you feed the ego a lot, you get A LOT of toxicity. "If I'm good and we're losing, then it must be your fault." "If winning is all that matters, then I'm angry you made me lose." "I have the right to be angry at you, and you deserve what you're getting." Hell, it might even be, "You should be grateful that I'm helping you learn." I consider myself to be a good sport. And I can honestly say most people who know me would support me saying that. Yet I have definitely been toxic in League, often without even realizing it - and honestly, more often then I care to admit. something about this game brings out the worst in people, yet gives you a mask and makes you feel like the victim - so you lash out further. Because so often, if you take a step back in any 'toxic' game of league, both parties feel victimized. And so much of this comes back to ego. To an extent that may be fixed by voice chat, but I am skeptical. As far as I can tell, the silent killer is that everyone feels 'they' are the victim. And worse, to a large extent, they are(!) because this game turns into hell far too often. But that masks the little things they are doing to make it worse. And it's the little things that 'most' people do 'sometimes' that get out of hand. We complain about the punishment system... but if it really hit people for toxic behaviour, how many of us would 'really' be left? The game's culture is twisted, and that's no easy fix. So much of this game's toxicity is not malevolence, but self-preservation.
And thats exactly why league matchmaking system is utter crap. You dont supposed to be berrated like this if your teammate and your enemy on a similar level. That just proof how utterly broken league is. They had all the data they need to make a rank system that based not only with mmr but other stuff like your overall performance They already had the data. Yet they refuse to fix it.
omg yessssss i hATE toxic people like how they want me to improve if they dont let me learn from my mistakes in peace, is really discouraging and makes me kinda nervous. aLSO, if i say something that makes them know im a girl i receive a looot of harassment even before the actual game starts. i have anxiety problems and sometimes i end up crying bc of that, the lol community is extremely toxic and my blocked list is full of people i dont wanna play with never again and i delete all my friend requests except for my close friends cause when i started playing i accepted dudes that sent me really annoying dms djskfjwj
Not gonna lie its cause you play NA or assuming you do, NA and EU are known to be toxic but NA especially, not saying that in Oceania or Asia there isn't toxicity, but it's not nearly as frequent or heartbreaking like it is in NA it says a lot about the region, but the game in NA is just a lot worse then other places and even a little bit in EU, Tyler1 who's played on multiple servers has said the same thing multiple times NA just makes the game worse. I wish there was a better way to switch servers without Ping being crazy awful but that's kinda impossible
In my eyes it's also a big problem of snowballing too hard. Just a single lost lane can lose your entire game because yi instakills everyone. One bad game from a player and you're just done. I hate that the most about the game, coming above even straight up broken champions.
To easily counter yi you need chain cc,to chain cc you need coordination, low elo = 0 coordination.Thats why Yi its so effective in low elos, because people don't know how to play the game not because yi is broken lol. On high elos you have more chance a good lee or an early champ make impact in the early game and yi its almost usless there,in high elo there is more chance the adc reacts in real time in late game and flash+heal away after the q and kills the Yi,in high elo there is more chance people takes exhaust or CC after yi is picked because people understand how yi works and whats his win condition,Yi like any other assasin/snowball champ its a high risk high reward kind of character,Im not aware of the meta right now maybe yi has a superbroken thin but high risk high reward its the kind of champions we want in League, its true, because yi is a jungler,it can be frustating if you are for example laning in bot and top feed the yi, you can't do nothing and yi gonna be a monster for the rest of that game but that doesn't make the champion broken, its exactly the same with tons of champions, specially scaling/hypercarry champions.Hipercarries are usless early game and monsters late game, you can put a lot of preasure against a Vayne early game and win the game for that, there is counterplay against hipercarries and thats balanced. Also you have bans... You have a real problem in League when a champion has high reward with no risk or counterplay, you have a problem when an object or a class/role its way superior than the others and its abusable so that makes all games the same and that makes the game boring. You have a problem with the League community when people invest so many time playing the game and still being bad so they have to blame other people for that and that makes a toxic enviroment and that makes the experience way worse. If you want a competitive game...the game can't be balanced around casual players.Period. But I have to say Riot could perfectly make a great mode for casual players but that would kill summoner rift and competitive scene, thats why URF isn't a permanent mode.Riot could perfectly explain better whats the optimal way to play but that would make a lot of casual players quit because casual players want to play not to train, there is no easy solution tbh.I think there is a point where you have to chose between competitive integrity or fun for casual players.Either way you gonna make someone mad so...There is no way the game gonna "live" long for a lot of people.
I've been saying this for 2 years now... they need to make League Classic. Make a mode that sends champs/items back to 2014 and maybe even keep the fancy new graphics.

@@Mikelica69 I know that the concept artists and illustrators can because most of them are really skilled, but I think riot is thinking too much like a company, half anime good looking people is the most popular aesthetic right now for their target.
For me the main problem is not their releasing op champs, they STILL releasing champs while most of the alredy existing are completely unskilled high-reward or very skill based that are overwhelmed by a "single-button counterplay" so why you should play this champs instead of the others and just lose? Of course for fun but losing just because a more modern champ, with more op kit is even more unskilled is totally not fun. I mean I have afk's and trolls to but somehow I still want to play unless an adc clicks me and I'm dead or something similar. They care so much in being popular that they not only release mainstream champs every week, they makes them totally braindead so everyone can play them and "feel good" and this probably is the reason of the overall ego in league, everyone is the best player ever and if something that they dislikes happens go afk or troll because is not accepted to fail a skill or be bad because right now the game is so easy that the minimum mistake is considered trolling

I love how he talked about Nithin's "whats wrong with league of legends" considering that in that video, nithin says only keep 3 champs and turn it into a fantasy platformer where one person must save the princess
3:59 I've only been playing since season 9 started, but I feel like 90%of changes since then have been for the best. they messed up a few times with balance, but I've been enjoying the game more and more, with reworks like Fiddlesticks, the Drake changes, and I feel like mostly I can pick up a new champion and have a good time. I feel like the worst part of league, and I know I'm not the only one, is the toxicity and general competitiveness. playing Nexus Blitz, I noticed that a lot of people where confused and exited when they first discovered what was going on, trying tons of new jungle combos and messing around. and than people started to understand the map. now there's a meta, a way to play every game, an exact jungle pathing, dominant picks, and yeah it wasn't as fun anymore. now people cared, surrendered asap, left games more, and quit lobbies if I did as much as hover over ASol. people have been playing for so long that there's an immense amount of expectations, and very little room for experimentation.
Well the issue is that you’ve only been playing since season 9, people who’ve played since at least season 4 knows how it felt for the game to be good, and when riot makes bad changes, it usually doesn’t affect lower elo as much because they’re too bad to abuse changes to its fullest, in a high diamond game a change that buffs the jungle or a role will be 900x more amplified.
I agreed with you, the game became clear in most of the aspects. I start playing league in season 6, so I didn't played in the "golden times" of league, but my feeling is that, at the same time that the game become more clear, it got way to many information to handle sometimes, like Samira right now. Even if you are not going to main her, knowing what she doesn't from bottom to top became necessary I guess.
@@Boguinnn that's another thing that I think about it. For real, having fun with the same game for so much time, even a game that changes around the years, is something really difficult, even more if is "the biggest game in the world". A lot of people fall in the idea that league should be fun forever if the game changes, but like every video-game, is not like that.
Boguin I would argue it’s both. League is constantly changing, what is good today, can be complete garbage a day later, so if you want to win you will have to constantly go to new champions, which in principle isn’t that bad. I mean always playing the same shit gets boring. However when you play a game for so long, like he or I have, you naturally find champs that just resonate with you. So having to stop playing champs you really like keeps making you have a worse and worse taste in your mouth. But you don’t have to swap champs if you don’t want, with enough skill you could make every champ work, but , which is where I have to agree with The first comment, that aspect of league has gotten way worse. A few years ago you could play many champs in completely different playstyles, nowadays the best you can get is maybe going ad/crib instead of flat chit on adcs for example. So if you remember the sandbox league was then you will definitely miss it now. The second problem is newer champs. I mean like I said, when your champ gets nerfed you either have to swap or be fine with performing worse, but it was still heavily influenced by skill. However if you like older champs and get matched against almost any champ newer then end of season 9 ( either new champ or buffed champ) it simply feels like a lost in champ select game. I mean I can’t describe how often lately I look at the loading screen and already think, unless my team is way better we already lost, before the game even started. Of course if you are one of the guys that only play the good champs, that affects you way less, but if you have the 15 champs you like and none of them are good at the moment, well let’s just say there are reasons way more smurfs exist nowadays.
You know, even the mobile LOL copypasta had a better reporting system than LOL system. They use credit score system close like dota work but more punishing. Go bellow 80% credit? Congrats you cant play ranked. Better play more with a good behavior! Even if this game broken balance the main problem is still how we as "player" cant even enjoy a game when everyone trashtalk and inting. Can they just stop releasing champ every month? They really need that cash huh?
@@aname1190 dota 2 had that phase and called reborn. Changin the entire engine to updated one. First couple of week is pure hell. Problem here and there. Nonstop patch, 30GB patch. But it sucessfull. Its about comitment
Recently took a break. Since at the moment me and my buds would just get tilted (especially this one guy, can go from optimistic to full on angry pessimist within a second) Sure if we win we feel... Something? Like a little "Ey we won." Taking time off this game has given me so much relaxation and time to play other games, more PvE or singleplayer focused.
The LP points attached to mmr, no bonus LP for winning streak, the feeling that ymthe game is against you the closer you get to a promo... The matchmaking is the biggest problem. It leads to a lot of frustration. And the reworks feel like they must put a stomp ability or a mix of abilities from other champs. Why not keep Yorick ultimate unique ability or morderkaiser... Why add a stomp ability to volibear... All feels the same
The reason I find that the game is against you at promos or close is because you get to promos pretty much after win streaks. And when you win streak and do well, you get put into a smurf queue or the game thinks you need to play against better players when those wins were of equal skill. I think the existence of smurf queue is problematic and Riot needs to stop thinking win streaks means more than it is.
@@khazms That's a bad system then. It is ez to see a smurf when you are a level 30 behaving like a guy who played league all their life. But just because we got some win streaks on that rank and then we are placed way above that rank within that rank makes you stuck, removes the fun of climbing. Becaus if you win more under that rank it means you need to climb faster to move out of that rank and not bother those.. but meaning, that if you are silver, you need to jump to gold or plat way faster, we need to get some win streak bonus LP to boost that. Like that smurfs are way pushed quicker to the top. And level 30 accounts with only wins too... like that they play under their rank. Riot punish the player for doing well on that rank, and that is dumb. They should just push him higher a lot quicker for doing well. TO move out of that rank. Smurfs low level are ez to detect, but a guy with account level 200 > with a few win streaks time to time, isnt a smurf! Riiot needs to understand that.
@@ganbly Winstreaks increase your MMR which increases your LP gains. It's not a "bonus" to your LP but it is an increase to it. Winstreaks are often followed by loss streaks because higher MMR meanss you play against better players which means you're more likely to lose. Smurf queue is very very different. It's not caused by winning a lot in a row, but by having statistics far higher than your MMR bracket or by sudden changes in skill levels. If you're in bronze and suddenly start having 12cs/min or a 20/1 KDA every game, you're gonna go in the smurf queue.
This game hasnt been my favorite game for ages: CC has gotten out of hand as more and more champs are released and stack aoe CC, champs have abilities and passives as long as some older champs entire kits and often multiple of those abilities on a single new champ, healing is over-tuned with the addition of so many healing items to the point where grievous wounds feels totally pointless and ineffective, certain characters are so dependent on certain items that you have no choice in build-path while others are so "meta" in how you are "supposed" to build them that you'll get flamed all game for building them with the choices you do have EVEN if you do more damage than the rest of your team doing so, keystones are the same way with one or at best a few being "ideal" or even totally necessary on a champ and anything outside of that is considered "trolling", and that's just some of the MECHANICS issues with the game. This doesnt include the other factors like trolling, afks, toxicity, long queue times, totally ineffective ban system, cycle of "OP on release, then nerfs" champions, etc that plague the game. I still go on now and then to play a little aram, but it's becoming more and more rare for me to do so. I'm the obsessive type too, so when I play games I play them a LOT. If they've begun to lose more players like myself who have been loyal enjoyers of the game since essentially release then you can expect the last vestige of player-base to become more and more toxic until the game is simply associated with abusive or toxic personalities and nothing more. It's sad, but nothing lasts forever, and at least for me league is on it's deathbed
@@toopink4death492 yea dude that totally works for everyone. In some team fights getting hit with 1 cc ability could mean getting into a 4.5 second fight and being cc'd for 4.3 seconds of it. yea dodging is cool, when you got to dodge at least 4 hard cc ranged abilities; this isn't even counting that one of them might not even be a skill-shot, it might just be a point and click( TF gold card). I'm playing an AP champ, let me just buy a mercurial scimitar......oh wait (that's trolling). of course ill buy merc treads, but thats only 30% tenacity. know what screw that let me just run conquer as a burst mage, and take all the tenacity runes, and run unflinching....oh oh wait, sorry thats a dogshit idea, because if i do that then i deal way less burst damage and have no lane sustain from my runes, but ill just do that i guess.
it's started to become a game of chance whether or not i would win. It's all about in match making which team was randomly selected to have the majority of the better players. after that it doesn't matter. the game 9 out of 10 times is decided by who you were placed with.
For me personally there's so many things that make me enjoy this game less and less: 1. Punishment: Riot just does way too little to punish toxic players and AFKs. When I play ranked I often feel like I'm playing against my own team rather than the enemy, If somebody AFKs or runs it down, the game is just over. 2. Damage creep: Riot has been constantly buffing champions over and over. but when they overbuff somebody. they just pull the infamous "-5 ms nerf". The whole game is already about oneshotting before the enemy can react rather than good coordinated teamfighting and good positioning, and Riot keeps adding damage to the game 3. Ability creep: some new abilities are just straight up better versions of old ults, and abilities are getting more ridiculous, it's insane. Why is Samira ult like Katarina ult. but she can move, has lifesteal on it AND a windwall so she blocks spells that could cancel her. Why is Qiyana ult like Gnar ult, but covers half the map and doesn't require you to time a rage bar. Why is Yone E just Zed ult, but you don't even need a target to use it? And why is it a basic ability? 4. No clear roles: Remember when every game needed a tank, an ADC and a mage? Instead of having proper team comps, this game is just about 5 powerful champions fighting 5 other powerful champions. Everybody just plays for themselves. 5. Riot is breaking the fundamentals of counterplay in this game: Assassins should not have CC, enchanters should be targetable, tanks shouldn't be oneshotting, juggernauts shouldn't be having mobility, hypercarries shouldn't be having mobility, poke champions should not be oneshotting you from a screen away. It's those rules that kept the game balanced and made sure you had to draft proper teamcomps. 6. Riot's incompetence: I feel like Riot is screwing up more and more. We've had sexism scandals, inability to fix bugs (nunu ganking from stealth and needing 4 hotfixes to fix reksai's numbers), a broken client since years, partnership with NEOM, responses like the "200 years" one, of course inability to balance the game, 7. Riot's ignorance: Riot has not been willing to listen to the community. It took them forever until they gave up and made akali R1 targetted, Riot was not willing to remove anything in Aphelios' kit even tho it's obvious that it's overloaded. Riot has constantly not nerfed champions on purpose even tho they are known to be too strong. The main offender being Kassadin, who has been broken for more than half a year and the nerfs he got were a laughable -5ms and -20 shield on his Q.
it didn't mean you could only run one type of comp. You still had different playstyles that you could pick, like spltpush, poke, hard engane and front-to-back teamfighting, But every team member had a clear task they had to do, whether it is frontlining, peeling, dealing damage(Poke, burst or DPS), or disengaging/stalling. Nowdays it just feels like you have 10 champions and everybody can kill everybody, and everybody can do everything. I mean we have assassin supporters, damage dealing tanks. DPS assassins and support ADCs in the game now
@@DevilisshDan but when i think about it again, the new champion has clear role in team. Lilia, yone has clear task right? they can make play with their ulti and deal dmg but rather fragile. When I think of champion that can deal damage while peeling & frontlining, I think of Ornn but he seems balanced.
There is a life hack I employ to avoid autofill: Learn playing support and use it as second choice. You will play about 20 to 30% support and NEVer get autofilled.

Perfectly well said. It's really frustrating to lose and not as satisfying to win.
@@LecherousLizard maybe you're just bad at playing with Shaco? Have you ever stop to think that it's all about you? Maybe you don't know how to utilize a jungler like that? Maybe you're always pushing lane while shaco likes to gank when lane is pushed into you? It's just easier to set up his stuff like that. Maybe you don't ever give him a chance to gank for you. While at all those reasons you would be amazing target for enemy Shaco. As i said Shaco likes to gank when you keep your freeze. Have you ever think about it like that? neither are even remotely true. yuumi does what sona used to do minus the whole being an actual character lol

That does imply ONLY LoL suffers from that feeling. But every game, when you get the hang of the mechanics, loses interest. Actually, LoL is one of the few that you can always improve and that doesn't hit that hard.
League was funnier in the old days because people didn't know how to play League. That's frankly about it, the longer League will exist and the more people will elevate the skill floor necessary to be "good" and let's be frank, League isn't the type of game you can have fun in if you're not "somewhat good"
this is one of the best explanations ive read, as a player for about 4 yrs now who never really grinds its sometimes frustrating that even if i grow as a player, the skill floor also grows higher as time passes, add to that the huge number of smurfs and high elo players using low elo accounts to boost which is pretty much a recipe for disaster, would like to see riot address this or at least a video made about it
@@shiro5003 and the champs keep getting more ridiculous, destroying the little balance that is left in the game
I think at the end of the video when I talked about novelty factor, that's kinda along the same lines. MMOs are like this too. i dont think so, chief
Dumbs i'll cashapp u $20 if u say yass and wig in ur next video
@@yassbomb You'll have to survive 2020 to see that
I think It can also be good, I always though that items dont matter at all, there is 1, maybe 2 ways of building a character and you just do the same things over and over again.
Even if we talk about those what can heal or give you a jump - they arent good in adcs or tanks.

absolutely true, every single rank game is too frustrating to play.
When a winning outcome makes you feel relief instead of achievement you're not having fun
For me the most frustrating thing is the meta, champs like samira, yone or yummie shouldnt exist.
yeah this is kind of a stupid comment... just don't play ranked if you don't get excited or happy. Also, ranked has literally always been the same. There has always been trolls, and the setup is the exact same it's always been. Play normals with your friends, it's far more entertaining. Of course everything seems different now because nostalgia always makes you think something is better than it was. Back in the day league had shitty stuff too.

I know part of the draw to League of Legends is the constant updates and new champions, but lowkey I wish they stopped releasing champions and just focused on refining balance and items and fixing bugs. People say that new champions is the reason people still play League but idk, TF2 hasn't had an update in 3 years and it's average players are the highest it's ever been.
I wish all 2020 champs were snapped out of existence
true just give us the other 2 darkins and then we're good. But until I see a full darkin team, I will never be satisfied.
Agreed. No need for new chapms, in the next few years.
Imo League needs a sequel or an entire overhaul. It's become far too congested.
Low-key would prefer all the champs since 2015 or 16 removed completely
This is why we don’t need 6 new champs at year. We need a real balance and more rework of OLD champ or unbalanced champ. Ah and
obv more fix.
Yeah, they should probably go ahead and give themselves 6 months fixing the fucking client and most bugs. They should try and balance the game, and while those 6 months are passing they should release 20% or 30% less skins and content if they're short from staff (which i highly doubt.)
And bring back the goddamn login screens. NOBODY wanted them gone.
Unluckily, people who care for balance rarely spend money in game. Matter of priority by RG
and thats exactly what they are doing with valorant right now. a new agent per episode. where we have trash maps like split and haven (just my opinion) and they wanna push new agents. thats so bad because the game will go into the loop of buffs and nerfs because every new agent has a counter agent which is too strong for the new agent and since riot wants people to play that new agent they nerf the old agent. just wow. i wont even be surprised if valorant will downhill the same way.
It's substantially easier to create a new champ that you largely don't have to worry about item interactions or champ interactions with or compositional strength or OP'ness. Why would they spend time balancing existing champs when they can spend 60% (generalizing) of the effort on a new champ that will distract 90% of the playerbase away from the pressing problems facing league.

the single biggest mistake i've made playing league of legends was believing solo queue was a viable competitive format. a hard lesson learned to say the least.
thats like saying lifting weights is a competitive format for boxing, they are related and one may help the other, but until you are on a team communicating with 4 other people and a coach you wont get that, even flex queue and clash are missing what you really need to be competitive, but also how can your mechanics be good enough to be competitive if you cant even win against the shitters in solo q
@@SleepyVampArt Most stupid thing i ever heard

However if I play League, nothing guarantees my improvement will gain me LP, especially if I can only play a few games in a day because I work.

I quit playing league about a year ago now because every time I even looked at the client icon I'd get a little stressed. That might sound stupid, but it's totally real that even a rare curbstomp victory in ranked left me with a sensation of "oh, good, that didn't go to hell in a handbasket." Which isn't supposed to be how winning feels, i think.
fucking lmao if that's how it went your mentality was probs wrong
You can avoid that if you only want to play well and dont care about winning/the outcome
The game shouldn't be leaving you with a 'well i dont feel like i can even do anything about that'

I've been wishing for this balance design for years
I've only been playing for a couple of months and I'd never played a MOBA before, I loved it, i loved learning and experiencing the new champions, i loved learning how to rotate and play as a team.
-Yuumi is a modern Sona
Laughs in Seraphine
hehe I still play Sona tho, amazing lategame support, I used to overlook her for tankier champs :)
@@sellmeyoursoul6601 Her ap ratios are insane
@@hiiambarney4489 I mean... in line with the theme of the video, Sona's damage ratios are trash now. In season 3 her Q had a 70% AP ratio and it has a 40% now. Tbf supports get a lot more gold than they used to, but going a cheesy full AP build is nowhere as satisfying as it used to be.
It boils down to a few things:
1: Champion power creep.

League of legends could return IF they go back to old client style, simple, fast and not-full of bugs and crashes. It begins with the shitty clients and shitty decisions towards the game.
The draft music is shitty, old drafting were way cooler, more thrilling and exciting, now bans just feels like ah w/e if they pick X we pick Y if they pick Y we pick Z (that happened before but with way more excitement. in my point of view)
A lot of reworks went really bad and only few of them got nice (Morde/Voli vs swain;galio, poppy, graves, yorick, etc)
league of legends is mainly played by soloQ instead of the idea of pre-built 5vs5 (flex, etc), so many changes about this made the game really unfair, like, s3~s5 you could more easily carry a game than right now, like 1x9 or 4x5, what happenned?
They nerfed the champions that had this kind of potential, making soloq more sad bc of afks and trolls (which is an eternal problem they wont be able to solve 100%)
The dragons were much good option when they gave gold instead of crazy buffs, it was balanced and fair.
This league of legends is so much different in terms of FUN.
I wish they could release this current LoL as League of Legends 2 and release the old season4 League of Legends for fans.
They can do that easily, they don't do because they are truly afraid of the numbers showing how bad they invested and how bad they decisions were.
TLDR: the client is shitty
a lot of stuff is shitty, so many bad decisions that doesn't make up for the good things that happened
i would trade all this shitty skin fragments, hextech boxes, new ui, runes to be able to play once more the season3 old league of legends
Imo s6 was when league was last league. marks and glyphs... runes were what made FAKER so good.
Fact: The game is way better now than it was before.
Imagine being an Udyr main in 2020, oh boi the suffering.
@BYLA add fiora in there then yes
I mained him from season 4 up to season 7 but afterwards he was so underwhelming with all the new broken stuff that I quit playing him. I hoped for some changes so that his mobility wouldn't be countered by a slow which every champion gets for free nowdays. And maybe atleadt give him a real ultimate since all his abilites are fucking autoattacks. Compare Udyr as a melee champion to Aatrox. This has to be joke. Season 9 was my final season because I felt like this game was wasting so much of my time.
@BYLA Illaoi would be fine if they'd just make the hitboxes match what appears on the ground and fixed the bugs.

Thank God someone with a louder voice mentioned the fear of the itemization rework...
They are about to break the game
All champs are balanced around items
By reworking all the items they are reworking the whole balance of 100+ champs
I am afraid next season won't even feel like league of legends anymore
I actually loved how they kept innovating each season but I feel this time it's too much
I like the idea that all champs are op and not all champs are under powered
But this is about to make all champs have such a complete kit that it's scary
One of the reasons why Lucian is unique compared to other adcs is because he can dash
Now we're giving all adcs a dash ?
IDK I am afraid they are going down the road of wow where all classes have a similar and full kit.
A stun, a root etc they all are the same
Yes it makes all classes equally good but there is no class identity
I am unsure if I explained my point well and I doubt anyone will read this but anw that's my opinion on the whole situation
the riven tips vids were fun but this content fits my boi well
Low key I always thought Ashe should have a dash lol but yeah crazy to think how crazy a dash used to be so OP but now is the norm for any new champ

@@kcapt96 Mate I have 2 accounts in Diamond and I get flamed even when try-harding in Gold... flame rarely has anything to do with actual skill
Here's how I see it: League is DESIGNED to feed your ego. To 'reward' you for playing by making you 'feel' important. And when you feed the ego you get toxicity. When you feed the ego a lot, you get A LOT of toxicity. "If I'm good and we're losing, then it must be your fault." "If winning is all that matters, then I'm angry you made me lose." "I have the right to be angry at you, and you deserve what you're getting." Hell, it might even be, "You should be grateful that I'm helping you learn."
I consider myself to be a good sport.

Lol true. One overpowered bruiser or assassin and it fucks up every lane early on. mehh

There is so much wrong with what you just said, it hurts to read. League is falling, but definitely not for your perceived reasons
Exil: *talks about good stuff*

Exil: Now let's get into the bad

League went a little wild after Aurelion’s release. Not related to aurelion, but for some reason the massive amounts of changes happening at that time kinda threw a wrench in too many facets.
@@oovoojaver179 Or maybe it's not that the game got worse, it's just that you don't enjoy a game as much once you've played it for 7 years.
They really need that cash huh?
honor of kings you cant play with 90 points
kinda like a karma system or something
Well if you guys are willing to let it die for 4 years for them to make league of legends 2 with up to date coding then yes it would be easy
@@aname1190 dota 2 had that phase and called reborn. Changin the entire engine to updated one. First couple of week is pure hell. Problem here and there. Nonstop patch, 30GB patch. But it sucessfull. Its about comitment
@@CuteLittleLily it's about whether Tencent fucking wants to. If I work for riot I wouldn't fucking bother use code from 2010
Recently took a break. Since at the moment me and my buds would just get tilted (especially this one guy, can go from optimistic to full on angry pessimist within a second)
Sure if we win we feel... Something? Like a little "Ey we won." Taking time off this game has given me so much relaxation and time to play other games, more PvE or singleplayer focused.
bruh you just detail how i felt when i still played the game . Going from happy optimism to pessimisim and passive agrressive snarky comments
Yummi: I'm an upgraded version of Sonna!

Not really the matchmaking but like Exil said, the champion select system
It's sad, but nothing lasts forever, and at least for me league is on it's deathbed
a lot of you problems with leage will probaly get fixed with the item system rework
Buy an anti cc item?
I main udyr and nasus just like trick all you have to do to counter ccs is to dodge em or use Phase Rush.
I'm playing an AP champ, let me just buy a mercurial scimitar......oh wait (that's trolling). of course ill buy merc treads, but thats only 30% tenacity. know what screw that let me just run conquer as a burst mage, and take all the tenacity runes, and run unflinching....oh oh wait, sorry thats a dogshit idea, because if i do that then i deal way less burst damage and have no lane sustain from my runes, but ill just do that i guess.
wow
good comment there
it's started to become a game of chance whether or not i would win. It's all about in match making which team was randomly selected to have the majority of the better players. after that it doesn't matter. the game 9 out of 10 times is decided by who you were placed with.
Aurelion Sol - Lost but not forgotten.
I miss you, my dear friend.
My God I wish he was viable, he's so fun late game but he basically just gets shit on by every other mid laner
Aatrox : let me introduce myself
Whenever i play a match of league, the only thing i think when it's over regardless of winning or losing is "Thank god this is over".
omg...I think this is correct winning..thank god im out of this hell hole...losing.. Thank god im out of this hell hole.. *queue up again*
wait that's actually so true. I never realized that...
For me personally there's so many things that make me enjoy this game less and less:
The whole game is already about oneshotting before the enemy can react rather than good coordinated teamfighting and good positioning, and Riot keeps adding damage to the game
We've had sexism scandals, inability to fix bugs (nunu ganking from stealth and needing 4 hotfixes to fix reksai's numbers), a broken client since years, partnership with NEOM, responses like the "200 years" one, of course inability to balance the game,
7. The main offender being Kassadin, who has been broken for more than half a year and the nerfs he got were a laughable -5ms and -20 shield on his Q.
i think number 4 is actually a good thing. Now there is more than one way to win the game
it didn't mean you could only run one type of comp. DPS assassins and support ADCs in the game now
@@DevilisshDan oo i see, the first two sentence confuse me sorry
On Samira you can't cast W while ulting. And ulting while having W running interrupts your W.
So you can't have both at the same time.
I play ADC and get my role 100 percent of the time, because who in their gourd wants to play ADC lmao.
