    My Theory on Dorn: He's not dead, but he has been captured by Perturabo. The shattered armor, the hand, nothing about it says death. It takes more than cutting off a Primarch's arm (probably his sword arm) to kill him. I mean he's probably all fucked up mentally and physically, but Perturabo would be out bragging to the whole galaxy if he'd broken him.
    Personally I want to see Corax rescue Dorn in his Warp Ghost form

    • @nobodyimportant5417
      @nobodyimportant5417 Год назад +1

      That'd be fun to see. Dorns missing hand could get replaced with the 40k equivalent of the forge of solus prime from transformers, but it can only make walls and fortifications. He could entomb all the demon primarchs, cask of admontillado style.

      Great Crusade only lasted about 300 years meaning that a current veteran Space Marine like Helbrecht had more experience then Kharn did by the point of the Horus heresy. And the current Space Marines still fend off against the Chaos legionaries that have hidden in the Warp.

    • @eichler721
      @eichler721 Год назад +1

      @@serronserron1320 yes but remember the empires the Great Crusade beat where far more deadly then the Eldar, Drukari, Tau, Orks, even Chaos is weak compared to those Empires. The Imperium is far weaker. The Rangdan, Ullanor Empire, Nephilim, Hrud, Interex, Black Judges, Eldar of that time had small empires that fought 2 Legions at a time and multiple Titan Legions. The only Empires in 40K that compare to the power of what the Crusade faced are the Tyranids who would still lose to the massed Legions of Astartes and Mechanicus, and the Necrons who would give the Imperium a hard time but since they are not united they would probably be beaten but it's hard to say as the Necrons have so many weapons we have not seen.
      So to your point yes the Great Crusade was 300 years but they had constant large wars against the best in the Galaxy and when they where not fighting they where sparing against one another in Legions. So most Great Crusade warriors where better then the 40K equivalent. Also as Cawl stated the Geneseed in 40K is very degredated from what it was thus why they struggle to maintain Chapter size and find good recruits is the rejection rate is higher cause of the deragted Geneseed.

Some side narrative that convinces Helbrecht to not actively pursue Ghazskull. @@inquisitorvuln According to what he saw on the planet and what he saw himself. Helbrecht saw that emulating Sigismund completely was a mistake. Need I remind you that Sigismund got himself killed hunting for Abaddon. He deprived the Imperium of one of its greatest champions for the sake of vengeance. Helbrecht was walking on the same path had Roboute not dragged him out of it.
      Also, Helbrecht saw that Dorn's judgment did no good to the planet, its people, and the wider Imperium. It was a bad judgment rendered when the Primarch was consumed with guilt. Helbrecht found merit and wisdom in lifting it. This way, he breaks the chains of the past that bound the plant's people to their sins and past and frees them to the embrace of faith and true service.
      The planet, instead of being a permanent ruin, will build temples to the Emperor and raise faith armies for the Emperor as per the command of Helbrecht.

      @@WitcherCrow Sigismund died how he was supposed to die. If Helbrecht had died fighting Ghazskull, then that would be what is supposed to happen. Space Marines are flawed and Space Marines die. If Helbrecht had have died someone else would have replaced him and the cycle continues. If Ghazskull had have died, then another enemy would have replaced him in the eyes of Helbrecht and the cycle continues. Only War.
      Also, Sigismund did not "Deprive the Imperium of one of its greatest champions". In the pursuit of Abaddon, Sigismund slaughtered hundreds of not thousands of traitors. So what, that he was not deployed onto battlefields across the Imperium, his singular aim of dispatching Abaddon could have made the traitors overall significantly weaker and potentially have saved the Imperium had he been successful. Mind you, Sigismund was also on a path that he believed the Emperor set him on, not just a personal slight.
      The people on the world will never again be able to be trusted. There will, from amongst the midst's of the faithful servants of the Emperor, be cells of treachery that will continue to rise and rebel, remembering their traitorous past. We have seen this countless times before. The people sided with the enemy, they are gone. It was not bad judgement on behalf of Dorn to condemn the people, it was the decree of a Primarch who understood that there needed to be accountability for the choices said people made. Helbrecht releasing these people of their sins was the most un-Black Templar thing that a Black Templar could ever do, especially towards a group of people who sided with the Iron Warriors.
      It is the "hope" in the current narrative that is thinning the lore. it is far too reasonable for the setting that is Warhammer 40k.
