As a nonverbal autistic kid my dad showing me this in 2002 was so important. Seeing another kid who didn't talk, but communicated with a dragon inspired me to communicate with haunted house employees who also quelled my fears. Than you dad, blessed be your memory.

i am so beyond happy i found this again. although i wasn't alive when this was made, my mother always loved this. she showed it to me when i was very young and it was a staple in my childhood. ive stuggled with severe anxiety throughout my life, starting at age 4. my mom showed me this and told me how when she was little, she would watch this when she was scared. she told me that even though puff himself isn't real, his magic was. so whenever i got scared, i would imagine puff was there with me, making me more brave. now im 18 and my mother passed nearly 6 years ago. i recently graduated, got a job, moved out, started college.. im starting my adult life. now, im more scared than ever. im so glad i found this, really needed it. it was an amazing reminder that i always have my own puff.

As of writing this is the first time I am watching this, having been born in 2003 I mostly grew up on spongebob and cartoon network, so I dont have the nostalgia people associate with this, but even still I can tell it's one of those cartoons that feel more like a work of art than just a medium of entertainment.

I was born in 2007. I grew up mainly at my grandmother's house. She had this on VHS and I'd watch it all the time, so much so I learned to navigate a player at a young age.. I turn to this movie whenever I'm feeling down. My grandma died a year ago, I sang the song at her funeral.
The song and movie may be old but its something that'll stick in a child's mind :>

This. I heard the song multiple times since watching this as a very small kid (too young to even understand the full weight) and would remember this movie, but only vaguely. I never sought it out until today.
I’m currently learning how to stop letting fear control me, now 21 and escaping/overcoming a lot of adversity. Today couldn’t have been a better day for me to sit down and watch it again for the first time since I was little.
Saw it through a completely different lens- exactly when I needed to.

I'm a 38yr old male. When I was 4yrs old this aired on our local tv station. I always enjoyed it with my brothers. I always loved the song. Puff just made me happy. Now that I'm older I still enjoy it but it brings up so much emotion. Still helps me put things in perspective in dealing with anxiety. Just wanna say I think of Puff as Jesus always there with us when we face obstacles in our lives. Having faith helps us to see things clearly and makes us better equipped to deal with the anxiety. To all those suffering with anxiety like myself I love you all and wish you all could feel my telepathic hug.

    • @brendalg4

I am a Christian... How does having faith help us to see things clearly? How does faith help with anxiety? The Bible says we are supposed to worry about nothing and pray about everything. But nothing in my life gets better, it just gets worse. I don't mean some limited period of time... I mean it started getting worse in childhood... I am a senior

Puff gives off the impression that he's a great psychiatrist. Even though he's not afraid to tell it how it is and acknowledges the negative parts of the world, he's still relatively optimistic and encouraging. Also, he even has a human side that shows during his depression of the sorry state of his land. Overall, he's a great character!

adventure time has a game out for the Xbox called " let's explore the dungeon Because I don't know!!! ". They know there is so little point to their show that they can even make a decent game title out of so they revert back to the stupid " haha wow that's so random and quirky" irreverent shit for a title.
Most cartoons now follow that blueprint, they won't be happy until everyone's a babbling moron.

I was 32 when this came out. I grow up with the song. Kids care less if the sound is off or the writing is not perfect. Too many kids have grown up entirely too fast. Look at this with a youngster by your side and see through their eyes. Cut the umbilical cord to your phones and electronics and go out and play football with family till the bird graces the table and then be thankful you have family no matter how big or small. Love each other and thank our Lord too. Love: If you have someone hold them tight. If you have kids, take time to tossle their hair and sneak in hugs.

Amazing. I'm neurodivergent and we had this movie as kids - our mother would put it on for us when I or one of my siblings was sick, especially with something that required soup and fuzzy blankets. Looking back as an adult, along with my sudden craving for hot soup in the middle of summer, I'm impressed at how this movie tackles mental conditions and parallels them to sniffles - something more readily recognizable as an illness.
