Shane: I'd like to give you a tip. We use geometry in our art as well. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner of the large square (the square formed from the 4 smaller component squares). This will divide each square into a triangle. Then draw a circle around the large square, with each vertex of the square intersecting the circle once. Draw one more circle around the absolute center of the entire figure, with the diameter being the width of your stance. Now you can work with the squares, triangles, and circles of many arts! The squares of boxing and punches, the triangles and kicks of arts such as tae kwon do and muay boran, and the circles and takedowns of kung fu and silat. The figure will also be a lot more complex, so it will build mental coordination and fast paced thinking. Shane sir, you are a great martial artist in your own way and I appreciate what you do. I share this with you in the hopes of self improvement. Have a good day!
what I really like about your videos is that you don't waste time asking people to like and subscribe. unlike the others. and you videos too! makes me wanna setup my own home gym when I saw you make yours. keep rockin'!
in my humble opinion there is no better fighting tips youtube channel then yours very informative very well done im a 2nd dan black belt in taekwondo your videos has helped me learn and apply different techniques to my style thank you for taking the time to do this videos
Shane this is your best video yet and the head movement one. I say that, from watching approx. all of your videos from a long time, that this is a "basics" that everyone needs to learn "FIRST." I myself did Muay Thai/Thai boxing for 2 years in my teens and some techniques in your videos are a bit advanced or at least require a person to have spent some time in the practice. Such as "Roundhouse kick to superman punch," " 3 ways to close distance," and "Tornado kick." It took me months just to prefect a roundhouse kick on a bag. Most common mistakes for me and others were no foot work/head movement, but just standing and throwing punches. Anyways, i love your videos and keep them coming.
now thts an awesome tip to get my leg work in place. have a hardtime co-ordinating my legs with my punches. m sure this will work for me. thanks shane.
fightTIPS hey thanks for the reply shane. i loved the comprehensive footworks drill and evn saved it in favorites. like i said, i always have a hard time keeping my leg in sync which is very important for a fighter as u highlighted at the start of the video. and m sure those gr8 leg drills will surely help alot. also co-incidence, i was watching the legwork of mohammed ali the other day coz he has awesome footwork just like u mentioned in ur video. Thank you once again.
Great tips again Shane! I actually do a version of this drill too! Great way to get fluid footwork. Also, your gym is coming along nicely? I'm routing for you man!
Doc Kaos815_Productions tough one depends if it's an inside fight master Wong! if Shane keeps his distance with good footwork and fast hands Wong would have trouble! who knows there both great people and have no reason to prove themselves.
All i want is to graduate this year from university and work your videos 5 hours a day. (writing a C++ code at 5:30 am in the morning and watching your vids when i am bored :D )
Could anyone of the 13 people who disliked please tell me why you disliked this video? Honest question. Is it the content being presented? How the content is being presented? Shane's face? You self-esteem? I honestly wanna know. Like, why?
