Interstellar is my favourite movie, and I just had to own both the Coop and the Murph (which is on my wrist right now). Both are amazing watches and, as with most Hammies, they punch far above their price. Thanks for the review!
Totally agree!
It's my favourite film as well and I'd love to own both. I can't justify forking out just under £2000 to get both both though sadly.
@@mrsentencename7334 Totally understand. The good news is that both watches are available at favourable price on the used market.
Me too - I had to have both!
@@kellywilliamson2187 Outstanding!
I got this watch 3 days ago and I love it my wrist size bout 6.1/2 I like it sitting on my wrists
I have one ! It’s fantastic!!!
It's an amazing watch. Absolutely love the big dial and unusual layout. The Powermatic 80 movement is very accurate too.
Keep up the good reviews sir !
Couldn't agree more!
Man Interstellar movie is far beyond 11/10.
I have this watch, it's one of the least expensive ones in my collection but it's by far one of my favourites since Interstellar is my favourite movie of all time. I wear it everyday but on nato straps, such an amazing flieger for the money!
Couldn't agree more!
That is a real beauty. Those arabics are just amazing looking. for once I'll take the arabics over the lume this one time... great review.
AMAZING WATCH!!!
I love my coop!
I have a Jazzmaster with ETA 2892, which is incredibly accurate, and yesterday I bought a Khaki Field Aviation automatic with H30 and an 80-hour power reserve with a blue dial. Hamilton watches offer a lot for their price, which justifies their purchase.
I got this watch a bit over a week ago, so I wanted to revisit your video. Mine weighs 160g sized up for my 7.25" wrist, and it wears beautifully. I definitely prefer the metallic Arabic numerals, and the overall modern flieger aesthetic. I do want a Type A dial from Laco or one of the originals some day, but this makes me quite happy on the Type B dial front. The quality is definitely there, especially in the feel of the clasp. I could wish for screwed links, and some or more AR coating, but that is nitpicking. It was really quick/easy to size removing the links, and making one slot of micro adjustment for a perfect fit. Mine is running between +1-2 seconds per day. In 5 days (1 day it was not on the wrist), it's only 8 seconds ahead. My friend has the same model, and his is -2s/day.
Great looking watch. I kinda wish I'd gotten this instead of the Khaki field Day Date.
I absolutely love my Coop. It’s become the watch I use the most. It fits my lifestyle perfectly. I don’t think it needs to be smaller. The l2l makes it wear great.
Edit: regarding the lume I’d actually like it without the minute track. The only thing I don’t like about the watch is how the lume looks. It just looks incomplete in my eyes
Couldn't agree more!
You got good taste. I like the watch on your wrist and l like the Stowa.
Thank you kindly
Once you broke out the timegrapher, I subscribed. I've never seen a reviewer use that type of equipment before. This was a REAL review. Cheers!
Awesome, thank you!
This watch is not $1,280
It’s currently priced on the Hamilton website at $945 in the United States market. 8:24 pm Friday January 13,2023
Sorry this was the Canadian Price. $1280CAD is about $950USD
@@EscapementWatch This watch is clearly overpriced.
It's look's AMAZING
Lift angle is 52 not 51
Suggestion; I bought the Blue Dial version of the 'Interstellar' for several reasons:
a) I hate making "cookie cutter" decisions.
b) Much more important; although I'm certain Hamilton has Date & Day "negative" Wheels on another 'Khaki model'. They chose to use the Black print on White Wheels.
On the Blue, there's less of a severe "color shift".
But what had me Pull the Trigger, was the "sea foam green" lume - which glows a much more "conventional" green. It's very bright, and even pops in natural daylight.
As for the Bracelet, It's still in the Box. Frankly, I was never a fan. Until recently, I've been using VARIO's Khaki Elastic Strap. I can highly recommend the combination. But, now I'm using the "horned end" version of the Forstner 'JB' Komfit Mesh Bracelet. It seemed to me that a bracelet authorized by NASA; for use on Gemini & Apollo Space Missions, would suit the 'Interstellar', just fine. I guessed right. As I couldn't be happier. ;-)

Such a beautiful design. Love it when the hands join to form the sword!
I bought a 46 mm variation of this watch a few years ago. It is the only watch I have, and some for less than $200, that have so much glare on the dial in even room light or in the sun, that at times I can not read the time. Pitiful for a $1000 watch. Why did Hamilton skimp on the anti-reflective glare? Pitiful.
What kind of pins in the bracelet?
At 5:22s, the watch's model number is H646150. In all other videos and on their site, this is listed as H64615135. Is this the same watch or is there a difference between the two models?
could be an older ref number with the ETA movement and this newer one has the updated eta hamilton H40? Just a guess.
Hi
The watch costs 970$
I love mine
I agree! If all my watches, this one has to be the most comfortable bracelet on my 7.5 inch wrist. I own far too many watches but, if I were to name my top 10, this would definitely be there.
Great review! Is that an Intra-Matic Auto Chrono I see in the background? Another one of my all-time favourite watches!
Correct! actually I reviewed it before this one! lol
I think you meant $1280 CAD.
Correct! Yes thats the Canadian price.
Night light_Zero
$ 1280 CND , Not USD
What wrist size do you have
That you think, khaki King will be big for wirst like yours? Thank you in advance.
it will be ok. right on the edge
No watch is too big for anyone, just wear what you want and dgaf what anyone else thinks!!
Sad, too big for me. Why watch companies do so big watches? They cut off a good part of the possible customers
haha same thing happens when a watch is small the larger wristed say the same comment! In a perfect world all watches should come in 4 sizes!
@@EscapementWatch i'm not sure someone can say that 37-39mm are "too small" to wear. is not the same as "too big watch". (back in the days everyone wear ~36mm watches and was ok)
@@k_meowington I cant wear anything under 40. Im a big guy with big wrists but I def appreciate Hamilton for making plenty of options. 36 is quite small on many wrists. I think most say that 39 is the magic number and I could even live with it.
I have the H-40 movement in my 4 year old Khaki King, and it is fairly consistent, but the inability to regulate it, is something they need to address.
Couldn’t agree more. Although to address this I would’ve much preferred them keep the ETA 2836-2 inside like the originals had. Rather have the much easier to service and regulate with a smoother sweep, and shorter power reserve.
It is very easy to regulate.i don't know were did you got your information
They all say it has an 80 hour reserve on it but I leave mine sitting for little over half a day and it stops. Am I just not understanding the meaning of "power reserve" or is this just a big watch lie they tell? I absolutely LOVE mine and there is nothing wring with it but it competes for my wrist with my Bulova, I leave it in a safe place to wear the other watch, I come back maybe 12-18 hours later and its stopped. Is it just not winding up enough? Nothing appears to be wrong with it on the outside. Clicks just fine. Some explanation and perspective would be appreciated.
Could be it was never full in the first place if thats happening. make sure to wind it up enough.
Uncanny! I am currently shopping between this watch and the "Murph" great video and review as always. What are your thoughts on the Murph? Yay or Nay?
whats your wrist size? kavar jewelers just got some murphs in. I was playing with them but decided not to review. I think they are too big!!! Beauty but too big.
I have a 7 and a quarter wrist. The lug to lug is massive that's my only concern. They are understated to say the least but I just love them.
@@bronco1199 Get both! I bought the Murph on pre-release, the only difference being the Tesseract-inspired box. I wear the Murph as a field watch and a dress watch. My wrist is 7.5 inches and it wears so comfortably. I honestly love both these watches... but, then again, I love the movie!
so at that size it still might wear large on your wrist but you probably can pull it off. But if you had to have one I'd get the Coop! It has a bit more X factor.
Thanks for the info and thoughts. I think the Coop is the better choice, the lug to lug is more reasonable. Something about the Murph though....lol
❤️👌
Amazing watch.....
Agreed!
I bought, and promptly returned my blue dial version. The disappearing indices are ridiculous on a pilot watch. This is only a problem if you actually want to know the time. An otherwise beautiful watch.
Really nice watch!
I think so too!
Why $1280 when Hamilton direct is $945?
Canadian dollars
@@EscapementWatch still over $1000 USD
My watch broke one day out of the box. Waiting on a refund and moving on. I loved the fit, feel, and presentation of the watch. Sorry it’s out of production.
The movie actually sucked! The watch however is a winner in my opinion.
This watch is clearly overpriced.
