Hi Christene! I'm gonna clear a few things up. (PLEASE LIKE SO SHE CAN SEE!!) Connor Murphy is the other boy you see in the white color scheme of this animatic. He's also the boy from the first song who does drugs and doesnt seem to want to do much of anything. Before this song takes place in the musical, a LOT of stuff happens. Listening to just the song can be confusing so i will do my best to guide you through it. Connor is the outcast kind of kid that everyone makes fun of. He's got some really bad anger issues that i personally interpret as bipolar disorder. Before the song Waving Through a Window, Evan (our main character) writes a letter to himself that can be interpreted as a suicide note. In said letter he mentions Connor's sister Zoe and how he has a crush on her and that she's the only hope he has left but she doesnt really know he exists. Evan prints off this paper in the computer lab, and Connor picks up the paper. Connor asks how Evan broke his arm and Evan gives the excuse that he fell out of a tree. Connor signs Evan's cast, but then Connor reads the letter Evan wrote. He freaks out at the mention of his sister and accuses Evan of writing the letter just to make him freak out so that Evan could go and tell his friends how much of a "freak" Connor is. Connor pockets the letter Evan wrote and storms out of the computer lab. Connor isnt seen at school for a while and Evan is called to the office where he meets Connor's parents. He learns Connor killed himself with Evan's letter still in his pocket. The letter begins "Dear Evan Hansen,.." so it appears to be a letter addressed to evan from connor out of context. Evan attempts to explain that the letter wasn't Connor's but the grief stricken parents brush that off and insist that Connor and Evan were friends. They believe Evan is the only friend Connor had. They also take note of Evan's cast that is signed by Connor and consider this proof of their friendship. Rather than denying it, Evan decides to go along with it after being encouraged by his family friend Jared to go along with it (jared will be in the next animatic, Sincerely Me.). FOR FOREVER takes place when Evan goes to the Murphy's (Connor's family's) house for dinner. Instead of just agreeing with whatever they say, Evan fabricates a tale of him and Connor spending the perfect day together, when in reality it's just a retelling of the day he broke his arm alone. The blue, dark part of the animatic is what truly happened while the white part is a fabricated tale. There’s a lot of parts in between songs that explain the story that the song doesn’t get shown in the songs. In between this song and the last one (this isn’t a spoiler because this already happened it just doesn’t say so in the songs) is hat Connor (the guy with the long hair) found one of the notes evan wrote to himself and thought he meant for Connor to find it. He reads it and it’s kinda a love note to Connors sister, Zoe. He takes the note and you then find out he kills himself with Evans note in his pocket. I think you might want a bit of context, you know the other boy who you saw called Connor? When Evan was printing his letter to himself out Connor got it first. Evan has a crush on Connor's sister, which he wrote in the letter. Connor read the letter and got mad so he kept it and went home. The next day Evan is called to the office to see Connor's parents there who tell him Connor had committed suicide and they thought that the letter Evan wrote was written by Connor to Evan and that he was a close friend of Connor's. This leads to Evan not knowing what to do so he lies to make it seem like Connor was a good guy for his parents leading to this song where he makes up a day that they spent together. He ends up talking about when he broke his arm. In the song Evan had Connor encouraging him to climb the tree and helping him when he fell down but in reality Evan was on his own working his summer job(? if I remember correctly) which is shown when the animatic goes to blue, the song was basically Evan trying to make Connor's parents feel better about their son while lying that him and Connor were close friends because of the letter that was found with Connor that caught him up in this situation. Please correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't seen the musical in a while so some of the details may be off but that's basically the gist of it
I only came here because the original video is gone :') A shame.... It was my favorite For Forever animatic... I always loved how Mikky had subtly put in expressions of Connor being bored, and looking like he barely wanted to be there. Not that he's there anyway, but I just always loved the subtly behind it.

None of the songs will tell you this so i'll tell you: Connor has killed himself. Before hand, Connor wrote his name on Evan's cast. Connor and Evan were never friends. Ever. Connor takes a letter that Evan has written from him before he kills himself. The letter is anonymous so it isnt clear that the letter wasnt really written by Connor. Connor's parents find the letter on his person when they find his body, and assumes that Connor and Evan were really friends. This is not true. Evan writes the letter himself. Evan has social anxiety so he lies to Connors parents and tells them that they really were friends to try to make them feel better. The "memory" that you see is simply Evan fabricating the moment for Connors Parents. So those flashes you see where Evan is alone is what really happened.

He’s imagining how different things would’ve been if he had friends, and when Connor’s parents thought that Connor, “his best friend,” had written the note that Evan wrote to himself, Evan just rambled.
BTW To those who aren’t obsessed with this musical, Evan wrote a letter to himself and printed it out because it was a thing his therapist told him might make him feel better (since he has depression and/or social anxiety). Connor came in the room and said he would sign Evan’s cast, since no one signed it because Evan doesn’t have real friends. Connor thought that since neither of them had friends they could join together so they wouldn’t be alone. But then, Connor found Evan’s letter to himself (the end of the letter said “sincerely, me” since Evan wrote it to himself) On the letter it said something like “the only thing keeping me going is Zoe (Connor’s sister)” and Connor gets mad and storms off. Later that night, Connor kills himself and he happened to have the letter in his pocket. His parents assumed that it was Connor’s suicide note (it said “sincerely me” and “Dear Evan Hansen” so they thought Connor wrote it to Evan) So they go to Evan and ask him if he knew Connor and showed him the letter. Evan tried to explain that it wasn’t what they thought it was but that letter was the one thing that they were holding onto from Connor since Connor wasn’t really a good person. Connor’s parents are so distraught, and all they have to show that Connor might have been good is that letter. So Evan lies to them, because he feels so bad and feels like this is the only thing that will hold Connor’s family together. He tells them that he and Connor were secret friends and hung out (this was a lie). And this song is him lying to them about how they were close and hung out all the time. The blue images where he’s alone show how he actually broke his arm and the ones where he’s hanging out with Connor are his lies. Dang this is long, I have an addiction to Dear Evan Hansen plz help.

The dark blue images is what really happened and instead of falling from the tree he let go, he's portraying the white background dream to tell connors family about them being friends even though he had never really met Connor before he killed himself, but before Connor took his own life he had a note in his pocket that was Evans letter writing to himself and it had Evans name on so Evan needs to create the dream space to tell Connor she family about him cos Connor didn't write a note before he passed away.
The DEH reactions always make me so anxious because the dialogue is SO important otherwise you can't really fully grasp everything that's happening in the plot without the dialogue unless you get people telling you and it's not the same being told everything as it is actually finding out within the plot

It was Evan making up events to make it seem like him and Connor, the tall one, were actually friends because for some reason, Connor's mom refuses to believe that all she has left of Connor was a confusing note and the reality that no one actually cared enough about her son.

The scenes that are white is just a creation from Evan’s imagination.* More info about the Musical and how Evan is where he is in that scene: The boy who you thought was his mom (lol) is Connor Murphy. Supposedly Evan’s “friend”. The family that was sitting around the table is Connor’s family. They thought that Evan must’ve been friends with him so Mrs.Murphy wants to know their “moments” because sadly, Connor committed suicide by a overdose of a medication. They thought that Evan was his friend because first of all, Connor signed Evan’s cast as an apology for acting violent to him. (He pushed Evan to the floor because he “laughed” at him but in reality, he just coughed) Second, they found a letter in Connor’s pocket that they thought it was to Connor and from Evan. But the truth is that Evan is assigned by his therapist to write letters to himself about why each day will be good. This whole mumble-jumble happened because Zoe Murphy was in his letter (Evan has a crush on her).
What is happening in the animatic is: Connor (the taller boy with long hair) has killed himself at this point. His parents then mistook one of the letters Evan wrote to himself for Connor's suicide note, leading them to believe Evan and Connor were friends (they were not). So Evan panicked and started lying about their friendship. So he started telling this story about Connor and him hanging out to Connor's family. He made up all of the stuff about them being together when he fell from the tree, but the darker version is what really happened. You will also learn more about the reality later on.

He stayed on the ground for hours in reality. So now you see what's about to go down. You need A LOT of context, but I'll make it simple: So basically Evan Hansen has to write letters to himself for therapy to make him feel better. The boy he's with in this song was the one in the first song who was "high" and didn't want to go to school. Basically, this boy was pushed Evan earlier, and later signed his cast because he realized they both don't have friends and said something like "hey there now we can pretend to have friends" Evans like "oh ok" and had his letter printed to him. In the note he said something about liking some girl who just so happened to be that boy's sister. The boys like "wait... you wrote this cuz you knew I'd see it. You're trying to make fun of me and annoy me, fuck you". Evan learns that later the boy (his name was Connor Murphy) killed himself, and the parents found the note saying "dear Evan Hansen" and assumed it was Connors suicide note to Evan but it was actually the letter he took from him. The parents of Connor was like "we never knew he had friends, come have dinner with us and talk about him please". He was nervous but went for dinner at connors house. He tried to just be lowkey and make the family happier by saying his son wasn't as bad as he really is. This song is the story he tells the family at dinner about a special day he had with Connor, but it never actually happened. As he's going along with the song, he's making up things he wish was true. The whole part with him family out of the tree did happen, and as said before, Connor signed his cast. The difference is, when he fell out of the tree, no one came to help him. (He references this in waving through a window: "when you're fallen in a forest and there's nobody around, do you ever really crash or even make a sound") there's more tiny details, and if you want I'm sure people will tell you in the comments, I just wanted a really easy summary so you understood it more
Okay so just to not spoil too much, the "dream" is when he is with Conner, the other boy. He is sitting with the family of Conner, who committed suicide. The family thinks he is friends with Conner since he was found dead with one of Evan's self confidence letters and Evan's cast has Conner's name on it. But the thing it, they were never friends. So pretty much Evan is telling a lie to the family about this perfect day. I have more to say on this but to do so would mean spoiling the musical. Nonetheless, you can come up with your own interpretations on what the dark blue grayish color that it flashes between in the animatic means. It will come up again.
The real part is the one by himself, he was always by himself and he let go of the branch to try and kill himself, although he just ended up breaking his arm in the fall and had to walk home by himself since no one knew about it and nobody would come to help him out. The other "perfect day" was a big lie that he made up in front of the dead guy's family, because they think they've been best friends behind his family's back.. Eh. Because Evan wants to have a bigger family than just his mom who works fulltime and leaves him alone at home. It's a supertragic story, really. By lying to Connor(the dead guy)'s family, they sort of take him in and treat him like their own son. And he enjoys that.. Therefore, the lies.
You really need to read a plot summary to know what is going on... seriously. You are missing out on AWESOME, IMPORTANT stuff. Not knowing if the person is mom/Connor and not knowing why Evan is saying what he is saying will cause you to miss 50% of everything forward.

Evan wrote a letter to himself (a therapeutic letter gone wrong). Connor (the depressed and high boy from "Anybody Have A Map" and the tall boy in this animatic) signs his cast. Connor takes the letter from him. He then commits suicide later.
His parents, Larry and Cynthia, find the letter folded up in his pocket, and they mistake it as a suicide note. So, they believe that Evan and Connor were friends.
Evan lies about his friendship with Connor, saying that they were friends in this song.

Hi Christene! I'm gonna clear a few things up. (PLEASE LIKE SO SHE CAN SEE!!)
Connor Murphy is the other boy you see in the white color scheme of this animatic. He's also the boy from the first song who does drugs and doesnt seem to want to do much of anything. Before this song takes place in the musical, a LOT of stuff happens. Listening to just the song can be confusing so i will do my best to guide you through it.
Connor is the outcast kind of kid that everyone makes fun of. He's got some really bad anger issues that i personally interpret as bipolar disorder. Before the song Waving Through a Window, Evan (our main character) writes a letter to himself that can be interpreted as a suicide note. In said letter he mentions Connor's sister Zoe and how he has a crush on her and that she's the only hope he has left but she doesnt really know he exists. Evan prints off this paper in the computer lab, and Connor picks up the paper. Connor asks how Evan broke his arm and Evan gives the excuse that he fell out of a tree. Connor signs Evan's cast, but then Connor reads the letter Evan wrote. He freaks out at the mention of his sister and accuses Evan of writing the letter just to make him freak out so that Evan could go and tell his friends how much of a "freak" Connor is. Connor pockets the letter Evan wrote and storms out of the computer lab.
Connor isnt seen at school for a while and Evan is called to the office where he meets Connor's parents. He learns Connor killed himself with Evan's letter still in his pocket. The letter begins "Dear Evan Hansen,.." so it appears to be a letter addressed to evan from connor out of context. Evan attempts to explain that the letter wasn't Connor's but the grief stricken parents brush that off and insist that Connor and Evan were friends. They believe Evan is the only friend Connor had. They also take note of Evan's cast that is signed by Connor and consider this proof of their friendship.
Rather than denying it, Evan decides to go along with it after being encouraged by his family friend Jared to go along with it (jared will be in the next animatic, Sincerely Me.).
FOR FOREVER takes place when Evan goes to the Murphy's (Connor's family's) house for dinner. Instead of just agreeing with whatever they say, Evan fabricates a tale of him and Connor spending the perfect day together, when in reality it's just a retelling of the day he broke his arm alone. The blue, dark part of the animatic is what truly happened while the white part is a fabricated tale.
The next animatic will be Evan and Jared fabricating emails between Evan and Connor to make it seem like they were really friends.

There’s a lot of parts in between songs that explain the story that the song doesn’t get shown in the songs. In between this song and the last one (this isn’t a spoiler because this already happened it just doesn’t say so in the songs) is hat Connor (the guy with the long hair) found one of the notes evan wrote to himself and thought he meant for Connor to find it. He reads it and it’s kinda a love note to Connors sister, Zoe. He takes the note and you then find out he kills himself with Evans note in his pocket. Connors parents think it was a suicide note for Evan. Evan tries to explain but his anxiety gets the best of him and he comes up with this crazy story. Which is what this song is.
I think you might want a bit of context, you know the other boy who you saw called Connor? When Evan was printing his letter to himself out Connor got it first. Evan has a crush on Connor's sister, which he wrote in the letter. Connor read the letter and got mad so he kept it and went home. The next day Evan is called to the office to see Connor's parents there who tell him Connor had committed suicide and they thought that the letter Evan wrote was written by Connor to Evan and that he was a close friend of Connor's. This leads to Evan not knowing what to do so he lies to make it seem like Connor was a good guy for his parents leading to this song where he makes up a day that they spent together. He ends up talking about when he broke his arm. In the song Evan had Connor encouraging him to climb the tree and helping him when he fell down but in reality Evan was on his own working his summer job(? if I remember correctly) which is shown when the animatic goes to blue, the song was basically Evan trying to make Connor's parents feel better about their son while lying that him and Connor were close friends because of the letter that was found with Connor that caught him up in this situation.
Please correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't seen the musical in a while so some of the details may be off but that's basically the gist of it

A shame.... It was my favorite For Forever animatic... I always loved how Mikky had subtly put in expressions of Connor being bored, and looking like he barely wanted to be there. Not that he's there anyway, but I just always loved the subtly behind it.

It's a rather fun and comedic song if you try to ignore the- uh- other stuff that happened.
This song is about Connor and Evan. None of the songs will tell you this so i'll tell you:
Connor has killed himself. Before hand, Connor wrote his name on Evan's cast. Connor and Evan were never friends. Ever. Connor takes a letter that Evan has written from him before he kills himself. The letter is anonymous so it isnt clear that the letter wasnt really written by Connor.
Connor's parents find the letter on his person when they find his body, and assumes that Connor and Evan were really friends. This is not true. Evan writes the letter himself. Evan has social anxiety so he lies to Connors parents and tells them that they really were friends to try to make them feel better.
The "memory" that you see is simply Evan fabricating the moment for Connors Parents.
So those flashes you see where Evan is alone is what really happened.

Evan and Connor barely knew each other and were never friends :( Evan, however, did also try to take his own life by climbing a tree and letting go before this happened, and he broke his arm. (The blue flashbacks) Nobody was there with him. Nobody came for him. He’s imagining how different things would’ve been if he had friends, and when Connor’s parents thought that Connor, “his best friend,” had written the note that Evan wrote to himself, Evan just rambled.

BTW To those who aren’t obsessed with this musical, Evan wrote a letter to himself and printed it out because it was a thing his therapist told him might make him feel better (since he has depression and/or social anxiety). Connor came in the room and said he would sign Evan’s cast, since no one signed it because Evan doesn’t have real friends. Connor thought that since neither of them had friends they could join together so they wouldn’t be alone. But then, Connor found Evan’s letter to himself (the end of the letter said “sincerely, me” since Evan wrote it to himself) On the letter it said something like “the only thing keeping me going is Zoe (Connor’s sister)” and Connor gets mad and storms off. Later that night, Connor kills himself and he happened to have the letter in his pocket. His parents assumed that it was Connor’s suicide note (it said “sincerely me” and “Dear Evan Hansen” so they thought Connor wrote it to Evan) So they go to Evan and ask him if he knew Connor and showed him the letter. Evan tried to explain that it wasn’t what they thought it was but that letter was the one thing that they were holding onto from Connor since Connor wasn’t really a good person. Connor’s parents are so distraught, and all they have to show that Connor might have been good is that letter. So Evan lies to them, because he feels so bad and feels like this is the only thing that will hold Connor’s family together. He tells them that he and Connor were secret friends and hung out (this was a lie). And this song is him lying to them about how they were close and hung out all the time. The blue images where he’s alone show how he actually broke his arm and the ones where he’s hanging out with Connor are his lies. Dang this is long, I have an addiction to Dear Evan Hansen plz help.

When the animatic turns blue, that's reality when it's nice and bright that's the lie he made up and what the song is about is he's making up this friendship with a kid named Connor {The tall, long-haired guy} and then Connor Overdosed and killed himself and the people Evan {The one with the cast} was talking to was Connor's family. The DEH reactions always make me so anxious because the dialogue is SO important otherwise you can't really fully grasp everything that's happening in the plot without the dialogue unless you get people telling you and it's not the same being told everything as it is actually finding out within the plot

The plot of this song is about a fake story he's telling Connor's (the other guy in the song) parents because they think that him and Connor were friends before Connor killed himself. They found one of Evan's letters to himself in Connor's hand and thought it was his suicide note. So he forged a fake story of him and Connor

That wasn't actually a friendship. It was Evan making up events to make it seem like him and Connor, the tall one, were actually friends because for some reason, Connor's mom refuses to believe that all she has left of Connor was a confusing note and the reality that no one actually cared enough about her son.
Alright Christine here’s a explanation/answer: *the blue scenes were what actually happened. The scenes that are white is just a creation from Evan’s imagination.*

The family that was sitting around the table is Connor’s family. They thought that Evan must’ve been friends with him so Mrs.Murphy wants to know their “moments” because sadly, Connor committed suicide by a overdose of a medication. They thought that Evan was his friend because first of all, Connor signed Evan’s cast as an apology for acting violent to him. (He pushed Evan to the floor because he “laughed” at him but in reality, he just coughed) Second, they found a letter in Connor’s pocket that they thought it was to Connor and from Evan. But the truth is that Evan is assigned by his therapist to write letters to himself about why each day will be good. This whole mumble-jumble happened because Zoe Murphy was in his letter (Evan has a crush on her).
What is happening in the animatic is: Connor (the taller boy with long hair) has killed himself at this point. His parents then mistook one of the letters Evan wrote to himself for Connor's suicide note, leading them to believe Evan and Connor were friends (they were not). So Evan panicked and started lying about their friendship. So he started telling this story about Connor and him hanging out to Connor's family. He made up all of the stuff about them being together when he fell from the tree, but the darker version is what really happened. You will also learn more about the reality later on.

The blue is the reality. Connor and Evan weren’t friends. End was in a situation that lots of people go through. He felt so alone and closed off that he thought no one would care if he was gone so he went to the park, climb a tree, and let go of it. This is Evan telling Connors family this day but slightly altering it so it’s Evans perfect day where he did have someone and he was not alone anymore.
Here's the explanation:
Basically, Connor kills himself (the other guy in this animatic with the long hair) he was the guy who took drugs and wasn't really a good son. Before he committed suicide, he signed Evan's cast with his name, then Connor's family thought Evan was Connor's friend all along. Evan then pretended to be Connor's friend and in this animatic he is telling Connor's family about the "things they used to do together" but it didnt actually happen, he was making it up. The flashes to what you believed was a flashback is actually what happened in real life, Evan just added Connor to the events that actually took place that day. Hope that this helped.

Out of context: Evan visits the orchard he and his late friend once visited. Evan fell out of a tree that day and broke his arm but his friend was there to pick him up

But he wishes to be more than he is now, so he lies about what had happened.

At school, he prints out another letter that he wrote to himself about his crush, Zoe Murphy, but Connor Murphy (the tall boy with long hair), Zoe's older brother, picks it up thinking Evan was making fun of him shortly after he signed Evan's cast. Later on Connor himself commits suicide and his parents and sister found Evan's letter in his pocket. They assumed that Connor wrote it to Evan and that they were friends. He also had Connor's name on his cast for further evidence. So Evan, not wanting to tell what really happened to give them more disappointment from their deceased son, he lies and tells a whole story about how they were friends. This song, For Forever, was him telling the Murphys, the people sitting at the table, one of him and Connor's shared time together. He recalls it to the time to that he attempted suicide(he doesn't mention that) not only give the Murphys hope that Connor truly meant something to someone, but to also think of that sad day as a happy day that he wished he had with someone. He stayed on the ground for hours in reality.
So now you see what's about to go down. The lying continues and you can probably tell that things are about to spiral out of control aND WE'RE ONLY IN ACT 1. .😆
So basically Conner (the friend he was with in the animatic) killed himself and before this happened, Connor wrote his name on Evan’s cast and took his note that Evan was writing to himself for therapy reasons. So when Connor killed himself the parents found it and thought that Connor had a friend(which was supposedly Evan). So they confronted Evan and asked if it was true and since he felt bad and was worried, he told them that Connor and him were best friends. So the parents invited him to dinner which led to this animatic explaining his made up story of him and Connor together. So to answer your question, Evan was indeed alone, but he made up that day to persuade Connor’s parents that they were friends.

Connor’s body was with the note in his pocket, so the parents assumed that they were friends and that the note was Connor writing to Evan. (Months before this, Evan was in a dark place and he climbed that tree to try to take his own life, but it only resulted in breaking his arm.) and with Evan having social anxiety and had a very hard time talking to people, it was hard for him to say that Connor didn’t write the note and that he (Evan) wrote the note to himself. So he then says that he (Evan) WAS friends with Connor, though he never was, and this song was a lie. The scene flashing to blue represents the truth, were Evan tried to kill himself.

You need A LOT of context, but I'll make it simple:
So basically Evan Hansen has to write letters to himself for therapy to make him feel better. The boy he's with in this song was the one in the first song who was "high" and didn't want to go to school. Basically, this boy was pushed Evan earlier, and later signed his cast because he realized they both don't have friends and said something like "hey there now we can pretend to have friends" Evans like "oh ok" and had his letter printed to him. In the note he said something about liking some girl who just so happened to be that boy's sister. The boys like "wait... you wrote this cuz you knew I'd see it. You're trying to make fun of me and annoy me, fuck you". Evan learns that later the boy (his name was Connor Murphy) killed himself, and the parents found the note saying "dear Evan Hansen" and assumed it was Connors suicide note to Evan but it was actually the letter he took from him. The parents of Connor was like "we never knew he had friends, come have dinner with us and talk about him please". He was nervous but went for dinner at connors house. He tried to just be lowkey and make the family happier by saying his son wasn't as bad as he really is. This song is the story he tells the family at dinner about a special day he had with Connor, but it never actually happened. As he's going along with the song, he's making up things he wish was true. The whole part with him family out of the tree did happen, and as said before, Connor signed his cast. The difference is, when he fell out of the tree, no one came to help him. (He references this in waving through a window: "when you're fallen in a forest and there's nobody around, do you ever really crash or even make a sound") there's more tiny details, and if you want I'm sure people will tell you in the comments, I just wanted a really easy summary so you understood it more

The next Song is Sincerely Me. Also there is a lot of plot that happens between all the songs so it's going to be very confusing.
Okay so just to not spoil too much, the "dream" is when he is with Conner, the other boy. He is sitting with the family of Conner, who committed suicide. The family thinks he is friends with Conner since he was found dead with one of Evan's self confidence letters and Evan's cast has Conner's name on it. But the thing it, they were never friends. So pretty much Evan is telling a lie to the family about this perfect day. I have more to say on this but to do so would mean spoiling the musical. Nonetheless, you can come up with your own interpretations on what the dark blue grayish color that it flashes between in the animatic means. It will come up again.

The other "perfect day" was a big lie that he made up in front of the dead guy's family, because they think they've been best friends behind his family's back.. Eh. Because Evan wants to have a bigger family than just his mom who works fulltime and leaves him alone at home.
It's a supertragic story, really. By lying to Connor(the dead guy)'s family, they sort of take him in and treat him like their own son. And he enjoys that.. Therefore, the lies.
