SCP 5056 -A is a hairless humanoid with matte grey skin and ragged facial scars approximating two eyes and a mouth. It possesses no observable physical form, manifesting only in reflective surfaces - displaying a preference for glass, particularly lenses. It causes atomic-level degradation to optical equipment and media on which it appears. It can be seen by all personnel, but only SCP5056 -B can hear it "speak"; it was previously hypothesized that SCP-5056-B was experiencing stress-related auditory hallucinations, but his claims have since been verified.
SCP-5056-B is a white male human being, 172 centimetres tall with brown eyes and thinning, greying brown hair.

This SCP is literally a metaphor for insecurities and overcoming them. I'm proud of you, Dr Bob, for making such an amazing and wholesome video!
An SCP story with a wholesome ending?
Doug is like a somewhat perfect wingman. But instead of hyping someone up, he exposes the flaws and faults so they can be fixed
A physical manifestation of depression, self doubt and insecurity. This is as educational as it is entertaining, while strangely inspiring. An SCP about taking control of your emotions and a huge break from the nihilistic tone of other SCP stories. Whoever wrote this, and the summary this channel added at the end is just a chef's kiss.
This is actually great therapy advice, take an issue that's bugging you and personify it and treat it as such as this SCP. Let it 'berate' you with bad/hurtful thoughts but intercept them logically, again as described here. Because otherwise you'd find youself arguing against yourself and creating a positive feedback loop in which those thoughts get worse.
This SCP is so charming... Just would have to be careful dealing with it. Thanks again Dr.Bob for bringing us another well explanation
Doug is basically Phillip's bff once Phillip and Amelia started having feelings for each other. This is true friendship between an anomaly and a human
A romance plot in a Dr. Bob video, that doesn't end in horrifying tragedy? I never thought I'd see the day!
To whoever wrote this SCP, this is a remarkable metaphor for mental illness and how only the sufferer knows what it tells them, and others can only just catch glimpses of it. As though it's only real for the person with the illness but no one else. Well done.
I love this SCP. "Doug" is a very good friend. His methods might be a bit unorthodox, but they work
So… how does Phil deal with Doug in a “private” sense? Like when he’s in the bathroom will Doug’s face be in the toilet? Or when he’s picking out rings. Does Doug go “hmm this one is nice” or “look harder”?What about times of intimacy will Doug leave or just be there watching/coaching him?
Having Doug around is like being in a constant trip. Being forced to look in the mirror every day and face your demons. The fact that it only appears in reflections is so symbolic. I LOVE this one.
I like these SCPs; the ones that aren't just murder monsters.
I love the stories before the actual scp breakdown. No matter how brief or in depth they are, they just add a unique view on each scp
I've spent time in hospital for depression and this story really resonated with me. It's an incredibly interesting way of thinking about the dynamic between ourselves and our thoughts. Whoever wrote this story was brilliant and likely inspired by their own inner turmoil. Amongst all the "scary" stories this one is well-written ranking amongst the best.
Okay, this one really gets me in the heart. Sometimes an SCP doesn't have to be dangerous. It could be the little voice in your head literally like this one
Arguably one of the most wholesome and in a sense ”realistic” SCP’s yet, I love it.
"A friend is someone who'll help you move, a best friend is someone who'll disintegrate your enemies' eyes."
Doug's character development really surprised me, but honestly, I'm happier that he's being more constructive towards Phillip than deconstructive. It's...just a perfect metaphor of overcoming your anxieties in life. Wonderful video Dr. Bob!!
this scp is almost endearing actually; i kept on worrying that things would take a turn for the worse, like the scp would kill amelia or something, but this was actually really sweet and comforting to watch
