A few WeatherTech Rear Side Window Deflectors require Window Channel Clips for installation to ensure proper window operation.
To install the channel clip, choose a location roughly three to four inches from the front edge of the window opening and three to four inches from the back edge.
If your deflector is a notched model, simply hold your rear deflector in position. Choose the center location of the notches above the machine flange. Now, using the small hook end of the installation tool, carefully pull down the inner rubber weatherstrip at your first location. Place a channel clip into the exposed rubber window channel and push the clip up, fully seating it into the window channel. If your vehicle has a double layer weather strip, place the channel clip past the second layer.Only a small portion of the clip will remain exposed and should be curving outwards. Now, repeat the process placing another clip at your second location. Next, if the machine flange view deflector has an adhesive strip, remove the protective film from the adhesive. Now at the rear of the window opening below the clips, insert the machine flange of the deflector into the window channel. Then pivot the front and up and slide the deflector up into the upper window channel over the channel clips.
Remember, the flange goes over the clips, not under the clips. Notched deflectors install on the same way: over the clips and up into the window channel. Carefully worked the deflector to slide the flange fully upward between the clips and the weatherstripe. Before closing your window for the time, make sure the deflectors is fully inserted into the window channel and that there is no obstruction to the window track. Then raise the window slowly. Now, repeat the process on the other side and your WeatherTech side window deflectors are installed.

Can't use the clips on my 2020 camry, the window slot is too Shallow and the clip doesn't sit like it shows in the vid. I couldn't use the clips and just seated the guard in the slop as the fronts do. Hope it doesn't fly off. Also the window auto goes back down when it detects resistance from the guard. I did the tip shown in the instructions, didn't work. They should makee the flanges on the guard a little thinner to fit better. NOT impressed with weathertech rain guards!

My weathertech rear side window deflectors are coming out after 2 years in use on my 2015 Lexus ES350. I can't find these clips on the weathertech website.
