Way better than the video from Weather Tech. Did the job in less play time than the video.

Haha my friend, I’m currently installing these on my 2017 Sierra and came to your video specifically because I heard that same CRACK/snap sound & thought I broke both of the front ones. 😂😂

I’ve found on 17-19 silverados that if you bend the clips in slightly towards the curved part, they significantly tighten up the hold and they’re much more snug. Install them square side in first with the curve facing you. Worked so much easier after I called them and got a very generic response. Much better now gents

So if I understand, the window slide over the plastic each time you close them?

I had front and rear on my 2013 HD2500 and they were still on the truck when I traded it in for a 2017. The front on the 2017 have been fine but I’ve had 3 sets on the rear and they break at the metal clips and fall off when the window is rolled down.

So I’m puzzled for the rear with the two clips does the plastic go over that lip or does it go behind the lip? I tried putting the rears on and they started to make a cracking sound going over that little plastic clip. I was reading for the front that one of the guys with the 2017. Installed his and there was a cracking noise and he broke both of them. I haven’t run into that one yet. Can you get a better video or explain it better about the clip over or behind thank you I have a 2016 sierra 1500.

I have these on my Geo Tracker, but they were too loose and kept sliding down at the back. I had to use a few dabs of weather strip adhesive on the outside top of the deflector and roll the window up till it stuck to the factory weatherstrip. Not so good.

If they had metal clips like you see in this video those clips are supposed to grab the inside of the deflector and hold it up. The way that they were installed from what I can tell was incorrect in this video.

  • @Virtual98741

It looks like you installed the rear ones incorrectly that metal clip holds the rear deflector up the clip you see protruding from the outside of the vehicle is supposed to be on the inside of the deflector and stops them from sliding down

You didn't learn from your other video. You did the clips wrong. The deflector goes on top of the clip. So you don't see them

The clips on 2021 Ram 1500 Normal not Classic, do not work, total BS, installed without clips. I'm an engineer and there is no way I would design it that way.

Big company like Weather Tech could have made a better fit, and included better instructions, for my AT4. They went in as they should, but for them to slide a bit is not cool. Not impressed.

Do not order these for a 1998 generation Chevy Suburban. They will not work unless you want to physically chisel and separate part of your weatherstripping apart from your door. I wasn’t willing to do it. I love WeatherTech gear but I am returning the front window deflectors they sent me. I told them it was for a 1998 Suburban. Until they want to show me a video of how you can install these in a 1998 Suburban without damaging your vehicle, I’ll pass.
