Been following you and “Girl in the Woods”/Brooke for a year or more now. I have loved the cabin builds and other videos. This was by far my favorite. Haven’t been to Alaska in 25 years, loved seeing some familiar areas.

Hey cousin! This is from cousins just south of the mitten, with the same letter W surname as your Grandma Whipple was born with. I will be sharing this video with the rest of the family down here, and I’m sure they will enjoy it! Personally, I love this video, and think the “day in your life” video is a really great idea! I hope we have many more like this to look forward to!
I just love the beautiful scenery, mountains, rivers, birds, fire and moose! You have inspired me to get outdoors again- thank you so much! That’s where stress really rolls away.
I appreciate your responsible example in holding back on bike riding until your kids were grown! Too many other drivers do not see motorcyclists in time. I also appreciate your laid-back nature, rolling with the punches. I’m thankful those fallen trees didn’t do more damage, and that they will become useful firewood. Watching you cut them up brought back good memories of my Grandpa W, and all the trees he took down. I need to get up north again! Hopefully things will cool down soon, to make it more enjoyable. Again, thanks so much for showing some Alaskan beauty to those of us who can’t be there! I think I will watch the video again now… Have a great day! Blessings to you both! 💙🙏🏽💙☮️🌲🔥🌲

in 76? my crew was drilling VSMs[vertical support modules] for the Pipeline on the back side of Donnelly Dome. Nightime subzero. The pipeline is pretty high up the hill.Northern lights were out in full force. We drilled a artisian well halfway up that hill! Kinda threw the engineers for a loop.Water overflowed the 32 inch diameter hole and was running down the hill over the snow.I'll never forget that.Guess I was barely 20 years old. Just cause you are up on a mountain does not mean that there can't be water underneath you.Used to be alot of blueberries there too.

Thanks, Dave, that was fun! And thanks to all the folks who suggested "a day in the life." I agree things don't always turnout like you'd expect. That's the adventure of life, it's good to keep in mind, or as my generation is fond of saying, let it go, let it flow. Glad you made it home safe. My dad had a motor scooter - like a Vespa when we were really little, I can still remember him tooling me around on it. Probably at 3 miles an hour just around the block, but what a thrill!

Great video Dave! I've owned a KLR for 9 great years, always got me where I was going, always got me home. Wishing you many happy miles! We had a derecho go through our area in 2020, 120mph sustained winds for 45 minutes. Basically a 50 mile wide wall of wind.. Size and intensity was unheard of for the midwest. Our town lost massive cedar, maples, and oaks. Power was fully restored after three months, some folks are still dealing with roof damage... Hope to never see that again! Take care! And keep the great videos coming!

Love the reality. Life is what happens while you're making other plans, isn't it? Sometimes it cooperates with your plans, but mostly it goes it's own way. Great camera shots. Don't have a clue how you got them. Glad you showed off that beautiful mountain range the day before the storm, because then we could see what was MISSING in the dust and flying debris. Also glad you weren't hurt personally and though you had some property damage, like you said, it could have been so much worse. Enjoyed the trip. Love your editing and narration.
