If you haven't heard my cover of Through The Valley yet (which is actually the second single I have ever released!) you can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/y0L9OfWwot8/видео.html
I am looking for the sheet music of this version but i could not find it there is so many paper but not this version of song. and also the best tutorial is yours.thank you
Hello! Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial. The last of us 1 and 2 are my favourite games! I'm so happy to be able to learn this. I'm french. Ses you later
hello, I'm a beginner and I don't have the same tuning as you, how do I adjust the guitar before starting to play? Do you need a special guitar or search by turning the keys until you get the right note? sorry for my English :)
This song is in standard tuning, so you just need to tune your guitar to standard EADGBE tuning. You should be able to find youtube tutorials to help show you how to do this :)
I watched a number of educational videos of this song, and your video was very similar to the orginal version. But I'm very begginer for this. BTW thankyou 💀✨
This is a great idea to incorporate a tutorial into your channel! btw I love how the guitar sounds, really beautiful and full. You must have the mic placed really well.
Thank you Chris! When I've been recording guitar I've had the mic placed in front and slightly below the guitar and angled upwards towards the guitar. Kinda the only position I can record in at the moment with the lack of space but it seems to be working well :)
@@VickiBalfour haha yeah it really does sound good. I might record more acoustic if I had a mic. Sounds pretty bad plugged into the audio interface ha. Were they shure mics?
@@ChrisSnyderGuitar I use an Aston origin mic. The only part of this video where I'm using that mic is for the section where I demonstrate how the fingerpicking part should be played, the actual tutorial sections I was just using my inbuilt camera mic. But it has been the Aston origin mic that I have used for all my music video audio recordings so far
@@ChrisSnyderGuitar Thanks. I think you can hear a bit of the internal camera noise if you listen close enough but I haven't looked into getting an external mic to attach to my camera yet, I felt it was good enough for the time being for just doing my end clips at the end of music videos etc.
@@VickiBalfour yes Shawns version is extremely good but personally since I love the game I'd love it if you could take some time to make a tutorial for Ellie's version because I've been looking all over RUclips for it and nobody has been able to give a good explanation
For strumming I am using a thumb plectrum. The rhythm I am using here works best with the strum pattern I talk about in the video, but if a different strumming pattern and rhythm works better for you, you should do what you feel most comfortable playing :)
I'm sure everyone will play it slightly differently haha. I think the most important thing is to play it in a way that you really enjoy, I think that's much more important than trying to play it exactly the same as the original
@@VickiBalfour yours kinda sounds like the original. And also I didn't pay attention to how I plucked the strings reeeaal important it made such a huge difference

Can you please make a tutorial on the strumming part but in the way Ellie does it in tlou not Shawn James because they do it differently
I personally prefer the Shawn James version, but if I get the chance I can make a quick tutorial on the strumming for Ellie's version if you like

What fingers are you using to strum? And is there any difference with strumming up and down?

what guitar brand are you using in the video may I ask?
It's a Martin Guitar
