Thank you for your informative video. I find it strange that a cover song can only be monetized if it gets a copyright strike. I recently started creating remixes for video game music, i usually extend them by adding original parts like additional bridges or intros. I didn't get a copyright strike so i thought, great i could hopefully monetise it. I guess not then. I don't really understand why I can't monetise something which has no strike. It's counter intuitive 😣

End than the copyright matter will go on automatically in YT studio... What I mean is, we don't have to progress any licenses before making the content. Just do it, and go on...

Hi! Thank you very much! It was really helpful to me. Can you help me with one question - I made mistake and I wrote my birth date instead release date of album. Release date is in year 2024 and my birth date is in year 1999 and after I go on "edit release" there are only years from 1920 to 2001 - I don't know why is that happening. I contacted DistroKid Team and do you know how long people usually wait for answer and is it possible to fix this mistake? Thank you very much! P.s. I just want to correct this and write release date of album instead my birth date haha :)

I covered songs from my favorite singers myself...I have 12 subscriber and almost five K views..and with the two songs I covered there's a lot of commercials or advertisements in there...is it means that my videos earning already?

Thank you for making this video. I see tons of Guitar Lesson videos that are basically performing coves of songs and explaining chords and strumming patterns and such. I can't imagine that these folks are doing them all for free. Is there some work-around that is allowing these folks making these videos to get monetized? Thanks
