Lawson, thank you for posting this video, made me feel better about myself lately as I've been out fishing from the yak and the last few times I've literally come up with nothing. I bought a few go pro's and a laptop capable of editing but haven't caught any fish to put out a video haha.. Hopefully I can end that streak tomorrow.

I needed this. Went out fishing a few times with new gear and lures per watching your videos and suggestions and not one fish. I thought to myself Lawson makes it look so easy lol. I guess there will be many days like this and all we can do is keep trying, enjoy the scenery and have faith the line will get tight!

It's really awesome you keeping it real. You are right it is not easy to just go out and wack fish all the time. I work all the time and don't get to fish near as much as I would like. When I do go I always try and bring the go pro along and make a video. Well as You can tell by my channel I haven't been able to make many fishing vids in the last few months for the simple fact that the fishing hasn't been all that great. Its really hard to grow a channel when you don't have content on the regular. I ain't going to lie it is nice to see someone who does get to go more often struggle a little bit lol. Tight lines bro and keep the vids coming. Always fun to watch when I can't be on the water myself..

Watching you fish and getting semi-skunked is better than some other fishing channels. Lots of my old favorite channels have lost their souls to RUclips. If I have to watch one more of their bait commercials, Walmart challenges, "survival" videos, Amazon videos, or clickbait Roman Atwood style fishing videos... I'm going to can the lot of them. It's just you and Cavy that I rush to watch.

Lawson, Im glad youre back making the sick Florida videos. Just a thought from a huge fan, you should do a video on tackle, knots, and your favorite combos. I feel like a lot of the youtube fishing community covers those topics lightly and the way you explain things would be great for a video on how you use particular rigs or knots in specific ways or your favorite ways in general. Either way its just a thought and honestly something me as a fan would want lol Keep up the sick videos all love 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I fish a lot of freshwater and its ALWAYS tough during the summer months up here in Delaware, However I have a few go to baits that I know I can catch fish with and thats the Ned rig, Senko worm, or just wait till dawn/dusk and throw some top water frogs.
I also highlllly reccomend throwing a sebile around those bridges like that it has been a secret weapon of mine over the last couple months and the color choices vary prettt well

Timely update... thanks - I'll be up there tomorrow in my friends boat. That BPS swimbait is pretty decent but it gets torn up too easily. I have not seen the big line side sun bathers this season yet. Last year they were not around much either. I think the secret is out :( or the water quality is crap. No baby tarpon in the area where you switched to the live mullet either. Water is so clear in the spot where you switched to the white bait, I've seen beast snook cruise the drop off there, you know how shallow its gets behind you, so hard to get a hooked up. Have to go up the canal and get the little snookies instead. You do better at the "T" bridge then I do, since I have yet to figure out that bottom bumping style. Its been tough up there recently... real bummer. I sure hope it picks up later. About 3 summers ago the monster snook where all over the place! And medium size snook where under every other dock. Now? Ghost town! Hit me up if you want compare notes, I've been fishing that river for over 10 years! Your killing it man... awesome channel - big props and tight lines!
No joke it’s slow up there, only got 2 snook and 2 jacks, plus a bluefish (??) missed a few as well. What’s up with all the weeds? Could have trolled for mahi in these conditions 😨👎🏼

When tarpon at my spot are not hitting artificial i throw live mullet and within 30 minutes-1 hour they usually fall

@@tolpacourt Ive spent a lot of time in salt, even with live shrimp. Never had any luck in Florida either. Didn't stop one from pounding a puffer fish I released into the water.

Everyone i know hates the shields. If you don't want to spend alot get a Penn slammer 3. If you got the extra money go with a staal
Shimano Twin Power or Daiwa Saltist, the Saltist has the mag seal drag. If your talking a "light" surf setup Stradics are great too
