I've traveled a lot and have been backcountry over a dozen times in Yosemite. To this day its still my favorite place in the world. Nothing else to say other than, GO!

Living in California, I can vouch for feeling like Yosemite is my own personal playground. Every time I visit I can't believe this is all of ours to enjoy, but protect, too. If you visit often, you find "secret" spots just as or more amazing than the iconic features, and it's kinda on the down low. I'll give you one- Waterwheel Falls. Not easy to get to. Gonna watch the whole thing. Too bad the footage was from one of the smokiest seasons in the last few years.

Most people leave on Labor Day to return home and work and Tuesday is the best time for wise guys like me to go there and almost have the Park to myself just like the good old days. Freedom!

Priceless. I love you said this. We rolled in early from the Bay on a Memorial Weekend. Knowing the Valley would be a parking lot we headed to Wawona, got our permits and were on the trial at 9am. We enjoyed the falls, backpacked to the valley across the ridge. We saw 2 bears and 3 humans. The Valley was a hit show. We had a wonderful time but "timed" things appropiately

Like the rocks in the 🏜️ desert that move and leave trails behind themselves.... They move because of the ice that forms... Like a miniature glacier effect...... Now the intelligent thing to ask is track the giant rock 🪨 like the ones in the desert 🏜️ that move using your satellite 🛰️📡 tracking stuff

The sequoia trees are declining at an appalling rate. Wildfires will burn the high country. I have heard that the big trees need fire to open their tiny cones. I hope the trees can survive & pray in their ancient wisdom they can live on.
