It's incredible stunning and hard to reconcile. If you can get there try to make it just before sunrise to avoid some traffic because the traffic comes fast.
I have seen the Grand Canyon and its name is well deserved but Mukuntuweap has captured my heart. I am now 81 years old but my wife and I have made plans to drive out there next year during cool weather.
I got the feeling that fate of the Native American was glossed over, with the history of those who maintained this area for thousands of years. The park's name should return the original
I always say 'Mukuntuweap' it is the native name for the incredible park. I am not a Native American but I was born here in America. It is monstrous that the Native Americans were killed and driven out of these lands by the Zionists.
@everettcox-m8i I think if you check your countries history it was the Christians that stole the land. As with all lands settled by Europeans, Christian fundamentalists destroyed many great civilisation
@everettcox-m8i This land belongs to everyone. I can respect a house but to say a land belongs to a specific people is what keeps everyone else entrapped. Everyone should move freely and no one should stand in the way of that. I'm so tired of society. Mother Earth gave birth to Adam and from his rib was Eve and who every single one us living humans came from. We are not separate creatures we are humans. Mount Zion is where God said he never left and many people believe that as they should how could anyone think otherwise.
@@benitasilva411 oh dear. That may be your belief, however it is not of the majority of people on earth. Less than a third of people on this planet hold that what you have said is true

We tried to make due with our little trees and gardens but we deserve nature just as much as those people who say they was there first. Which I question because the way I see it why did they leave them alone to flourish and hold everyone else captive. Not saying it is black or white either. Many different people I find it hard to believe. I know this earth appreciates us all we all get to breath the air and drink the water and climb the mountains, and see the animals free and not in cages.
Increase the price of the park to $100. I was recently there on Juneteenth holiday (free entry for the federal holiday). The park was overrun by teenagers and poor people. They were tearing branches, throwing rocks, just ruining everything in their path.
I always wanted to see Zion in person but never had the opportunity or resources to go hopefully one day
It's absolutely amazing. You need to go!

How about you pay 100$ and everyone else gets in for free
What a terribly elitist take…
Poor people....?
YOU don't deserve this park.
That was not happening lol
Utah needs to be an open carry state
