As an older mom of three adult sons I love, love, love that you took your Pops with you on this trip! My husband and I have done a lot of adventuring with our boys, both when they were young, and now with their wives and children. It is a tremendous blessing to be able to experience such beauty with family! Keep taking him along. I know his heart is full from his time with you!

@carmenkincade6149 I know this was a year ago, but I hope that you have since found that these two go EVERYWHERE together! I love watching their videos. Cheers!
Just got back from Monument Valley last week! It was a hard trip on me as I am 81 years old, and my wife is 77. We flew out of Dallas to Alburquerque and arrived there about 11:30. We had a rent car waiting on us, so we hit the highways and roads toward The View Hotel at the valley. We arrived after dark so we couldn't see anything but the two-lane blacktop before us. Some tough roads getting there with drop offs and soft shoulders, so we recommend arriving in the daytime. We checked into our room and quickly fell asleep. The sun was already up when we awoke the next morning. And as I opened the curtains to the balcony, we were suddenly awe-struck as if we had been transported to another unearthly world. My God I cried! My wife ran to me, and we just stared for minutes at the spectacle before us. The sheer beauty and stillness of the desert valley before us with monuments so close, we could nearly touch them, we felt the nearness of our Maker. We have travelled a good bit in our lives together and have seen some fantastic sights, but never a sight such as this! I don't have the vocabulary to paint the incredible aesthetic beauty of Monument Valley.
@@travelwithpops We enjoy your adventures- So wonderful to see you with your son traveling, I take my daughter on trips like this and I know how hard it can be at times but these memories will last for our lifetimes- beautiful world we live on.

A trip "to die for", just gorgeous 😍❤. Utah is my fav US state. I am German, visited Bryce Canyon and Zion Nat. Park in 1977. It was one of my lifetime memories. In 1986, my former husband and I explored Monument Valley, and a dream came true since I am a John Wayne Western fan and saw this iconic place. Goulding's Lodge was the place to be, nearly no cars in the Park and unlimited driving, what was the best 😀. This times are gone forever, very sad! Arches and Natural Bridges are still on my bucket list, but now everything is easier bc. I am calling the US my home for over 20 years. I came from Europe for the beauty of the Southwest and decided to stay in this part of the country. It was worth the journey! Thank you again, for this amazing road excursion ❤💖💕.
The climate alone is something no video can relay, even in winter which is why these guys are able to hike for miles- you wouldn't do that in Germany or Minnesota in the winter- Enjoy those super blue skies

It's not just the expense, it's also the physical inability that keeps a lot of people home. These trips are great! I tell my relatives and friends I went to Utah (or wherever these two adventurers have been) and look at me and ask "when?" because they know I've not been away. Nothing like being there in person, but these videos are the next best thing. Thanks.
You had made probably one of the BEST videos in RUclips. Is long but is well narrated, good on details and entertaining. I am doing research to do the same trip but with an RV/Camper. I lack the words to fully express how well made was this video. You did an amazing job. Your relationship with your father is to be envy, love it. Is good enough for TV.
All I can say: love you guys and how you are able to spend quality time with each other. Love the videos. My Father past(seems like yesterday) years ago. Magical!!❤❤❤❤
I have watched several of your videos and want to say you are a very good narrator. Since I'm close to your father's age it's good to see father and son having fun together. Memories forever! Great job.
I found myself smiling throughout the entire video. I can't express how much I loved every minute. I almost cried when Pops was appreciating the surprise hotel. I hope I can one day do the same with my Daddy 💞
Thank you for this! It's amazing that I can enjoy America from another continent and also plan for a future road trip. Also, I love your relationship with your dad. It's beautiful.
Years ago, while on a western concert tour with a military band, we were able to take a side trip on a day off to Bryce and Zion National Parks. Your extensive video of your 5 day tour was a spectacular overload of visuals. Thank you so much for all your video tours.
You and your dad helped us to feel like we were right along with you. Haven’t been to the parks you shared, but we now would love to go! Thank you for your wonderful videos!
I saw a channel specializing in travel to the United States for the first time today. I've been to all of Utah's national parks, but I was able to enjoy them anew thanks to their fast video development, sophisticated explanations, and their father and son's good team play and pointing out the essential places. thanks again for posting.
As someone who was born and raised in Utah and spent all my 20's exploring my backyard, you did amazing justice to Southern Utah! At the same time, there's so so much more to see! There's an infinite number of places to hike and explore in Utah! And yes, Lower Calf Creek Falls is amazing!
Great job surprising your dad with the hotel stay. Sure he will never forget it. Hard to have your dad speechless but think you accomplished that. Once again great job and keep up the good work.
Thank you! That was wonderful! I believe I did that trip through Monument Valley when I was a kid...... approx 40ish years ago. Well, your movie took me 2 days to get through, and I've enjoyed every minute. I wish I could have done something like that with my mom and dad as an adult. 🥰
Thank you so much for doing these. Because of and with you and your dad I get to adventure and see so many wonderful places I would never get to experience otherwise. You are wonderful!
That double arch is totally incredible. My favorite. What a beautiful creation of our Creator, God! The donut hole arch is fabulous too. Love seeing you and your dad hang out together and see amazing sights!
I agree with you, that Utah itself should be designated a National Park. An excellent job of photographing and narrating your experience. Made us all feel we were right there with you. I'll probably never get to see them all in my lifetime but I have been to Zion. It is truly a holy, sanctuary. If ever there was a place called God's country, Zion would have to be it. Your relationship between you and your Dad is wonderful to see. Obviously, you enjoy each other, and taking a trip like this together will be a fantastic memory for you both. Thanks for taking us along, it was a wonderful experience for us viewers.
I live in Utah and I could not agree more. Most people know about the national parks in the south and underestimate the beauty of the north part of the state. It really is a beautiful state all around
Thank you for sharing the top five. My daughter and I went to Arches park in March. Simply amazing views. We were amazed that people actually went out west by horse and wagon. The pioneers must have been tough people.

Good video! I recently joined Air Force and now I am stationed in Las Vegas so I am starting to dig into the natural wonders here in the west more often than when I lived in NYC. For the second time, I tried to visit Utah last week. So I had a vacation to the following stops: 1) Antelope Island State Park - hiking Frary Peak 2) Utah State Capitol Building 3) Hiking Mount Olympus (see the sunrise) 4) Bridle Veil Falls 5) Arches National Park - (see the sunrise) hiking from Devil's Garden, Delicate Arch 6) Dead Horse Point State Park 7) Canyonlands National Park - (see the sunrise) hiking from Syncline Loop, Aztec Butte, Mesa Arch 8) Natural Bridge National Monument - hiking Sipapu Bridge 9) Driving from Valley of the Gods 10) Goosenecks State Park 11) Hiking Mexican Hat Rock 12) Stop by Forrest Gump Point 13) Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park - hiking Wildcat Trail 14) Horseshoe Bend 15) Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument - Hiking Toadstool Hoodoos Trail 16) Bryce Canyon National Park - Hiking Navajo Loop and Queens Garden Trail to see the sunset 17) Capitol Reef National Park - Hiking Chimney Rock, Golden Throne, Cassidy Arch, Colab Canyon 18) Hiking Lake Blanches 19) Trolley Square 20) The Cathedral of the Madeleine 21) Bonneville Salt Flats to see the sunrise 22) Washington Square Park & Salt Lake City Public Library 23) Hiking Ensign Peak 24) Natural History Museum of Utah 25) Red Butte Garden 26) International Peace Garden
Possibly my all-time favorite western video. Tell your dad I know how he felt at Monument Valley because I watch nothing but western TV shows and films. I would have probably slept on that balcony where he sat for hours. It brings tears to my eyes and I can't wait to see it. At 74, it is on my bucket list. I would love to do the Navajo tour that lasts half a day.
Mine too, I feel the country of Monument Valley, the red sandstone and the changing colors of the needles. As I mentioned before: "It is a place to die for", God did his best work in this beauty. My hope is, to go one more time, explore and enjoy it.
@June: as mentioned above me and my wife did such a tour a short while ago. It was absolutely great! Over 4 hours. A lot of interesting information, photo spots and access to roads closed for the general public (and for a part only doable with a big 4 wheel drive). Really recommended!!
Was in monument valley 2 weeks ago. I wasnt sure what to expect. I was on a roadtrip from Salt Lake to LA. Monument Valley was easily my favorite place that we stopped at. Indescribably beautiful. Videos and photos just don't do it justice.

I have traveled all over the world. Some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen is in Utah , Arizona , Colorado. Absolutely amazing. Gods country.
Absolutely amazing. I had no idea how big the area was. You are very lucky to have your dad do the trip with you. I am so glad I watched this video with you. A place I could never manage

This is an Outstanding Video. You and your dad captured video while while exploring these 5 National Parks, and you have been so good as to share your experiences with all of us. You doing this is in a way...empowering us to virtually hike these great National Parks also (without actually being there.). And it's very informative too! Thanks so much!!!

Thank you so much for this video! My wife and I just finished the Mighty 5 and Deadhorse in 6 days and followed your trip almost to a tee! You made an amazing trip even better with your suggestions and tips. The parks are breathtaking and we had a fantastic time, even if we are about your dad's age. Thank you again!

You are the best and love your interaction with Pops. Completed 6 days trip with my son on all 5 parks followed your itinerary closely. It was the bet time ever. Could not have covered 5 parks in 6 days without watching your trip video. Cannot thank you enough.
@user-wq2ud5sec9w That is so cool that you and your son followed the itinerary! Hard to have a bad trip seeing all that beauty. Glad you and your son got to experience it.
Firstly, Thank you for an incredibly , incredibly amazing viewing....I live in India and have been fascinated by National Parks since decades.Whike I have visited some ,my greatest wish was to see the Mighty Five.Have admired photos of Parks shared from Treasured Lands book and other online photos shared by photographers. But this video takes one through the real experience ...Mesmerizing sunrise, sunsets ,beautiful twinning of Monsey and reddish golden , amber hues sunsets , sunstars on the turrets, towers, arches and magnificent landscapes ...Tbe play of light over the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon was absolutely captivating.. History through the passage of time is encapsulated beautifully . Grand Canyon was spectacular when I had witnessed it but after watching this video ,I am absolutely enraptured .Wanted to do so badly the Big Five and the Four Corners point. Of enthralling viewing and amazing journeys...Fantastic video...Thanks
You're a Real Pro at this-- so many others we cant stand to watch; personalities, shrill voices, silliness- But You and 'Pops' are such a Pleasure!! Great camera skills Great Voice and Intelligent things to tell us- very thoughtful-- THANK YOU!! I will want to go here- Just Gorgeous!! 🙂
Well done! Not only is your photography VERY good, but your descriptions of the trails and possible challenges are very helpful as well. These National Parks have been on my bucket list forever, and this video cements my intention to make the trip. Thanks!
I did this tour in the late 1970s. Boy, have things changed. We were the only ones in most parks and the only 2 people in Monument Valley the #1 park for me. We were invited to spend the night in a hogan in Kayenta. We also went to 4 corners and stood on 4 states at once.Fry bread, yum, what memories. When I first visited the Grand Canyon we were 2 of only 4 people in the Grand Canyon at that time of day and one mystery ride bus, lol. I'm so happy I got to do this trip before civilization destroyed it. I have also crossed America via train 4 times in a sleeper prior to COVID and I'm thankful for that amazing experience. Even train travel and the magical experience have been diminished. 😢 America is the most breathtakingly beautiful country on the planet. Over tourism and disrespect for the land is destroying it😢
Oldtimer Englishman from Shropshire who has been travelling the Four Corners areas for over 30years. The first time I visited Monument Valley, and since, I camped in the original campsite that overlooked the Mittens long before that hotel was built ! Commercialism is much more prevalent since my earlier trips and is taking all the real character away from so many other areas and towns that I used to cherish !
Hi! JOSH and POPS! At last! My daughter and I are at Monument Valley now!! We are enjoy on a road trip :D We stay The View hotel. We are going to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning and valley drive! I can’t sleep because looking forward. I watch this video so many times. Special thanks to JOSH and POPS!!
I can't love you and pop more!!! Pop reminds me that I can do the things too! Yall did a lot of hikes and so well narrated. Prob my favorite video ever. Lots of narration but not a bunch of unnecessary words!
Thanks for the memories! Did a very similar trip in Utah in 2014 as part of a 8 week road trip through west USA and Canada. Utah National parks are absolutely awesome, especially Bryce with it's otherworldly landscapes. The Narrows, which you didn't hike this time was our favourite hike. Probably will never get back there again (from Australia and getting older), so your video will go into my favourite list. Video was stunning, so thank you.
Thanks for the comment and I am so glad you got to see it. Yea, I actually did the entire Narrows from the top to the bottom back in the day, it was such a stunning hike!
When I was young my parents took our family on many trips through this area as well as other areas of the United States. That upbringing established a rock solid foundation of "travel" as a goal/prerequisite for life. I owe both of my parents an eternal debt of gratitude for that gift. I pity those that never have found the joy of travel in their life.

Our pleasure! So glad to hear you enjoy the videos
I just found you I will be following you guys after watching this video Thanks You for Sharing!
I live in England, and have never been to USA. Thank you for letting me visit with you, amazing 😊❤ xxx
Love this! Amazing video and I love your pops! Especially him hiking with his cowboy hat. 🤠 What amazing memories you’ve created with him.
Absolutely heavenly; sparks your wildest imaginations .
That double arch is totally incredible. My favorite. What a beautiful creation of our Creator, God!
The donut hole arch is fabulous too.
Love seeing you and your dad hang out together and see amazing sights!
So glad you liked the video!
What a wonderful trip!! And is a blessing to do it with your father
Thank you for sharing the top five. My daughter and I went to Arches park in March. Simply amazing views. We were amazed that people actually went out west by horse and wagon. The pioneers must have been tough people.
Father and Son love is priceless ❤️
We enjoyed all of your videos uploaded in RUclips, extraordinary fascinating landscapes of America, Thank You and Thank You 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think it is so special that you can travel and share these places with your father. What a treasure, and so beautiful! I would really love to visit southern Utah..great commentating and voice, very pleasant to listen to you!
My favorite part of your videos is how you share your adventures with your Papa. Good bless you! You are a great person, I can see that through your lense!

Utah is my favorite American state because it is a place of stunning natural beauty, fascinating history and unique culture.
Yes
Ahhhmazzzinggg! I could feel your emotions just by watching. Beautiful!!! Thank you for making this… 👍🏽
I just recently discovered your channel and I’ve already watched 5 videos. Thanks to you and Pops for taking us along! The hikes were amazing ,especially to Angel Landing!! I know I’m not brave enough to ever do it myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire video!
Thanks! A great help in planning our road trip. Can't wait to see Highway 12, thanks to your suggestion. Burgers, too :)
Thank you so much!
Happy to help! Thanks for the tip!
The filming was wonderful. I especially loved the footage of your hike to Angel's Landing. I appreciate Pops point of view of the hikes, since I feel the same way about hiking. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.

WOW! What an adventure! ... and this time spent with your dad - priceless ... what a great team you are!!! Thank you for sharing with all of us - it is a true please to watch it and educational!
Wonderful video, and thank you for the lovely interactions between you and your dad! Pops a real trooper for tagging along. Enjoyed every minute of it, as well as took notes for my future roadtrip planning. Can't decide which is my favorite part! 😆
Your keen appreciation of the golden hour and your sense of history is much admired! Good surprise on Dad!
Love you videos. I regularly see your videos on my TV with family. They also love your videos. Pay respects to your dad. God Bless you and your family. Love from India 🇮🇳
I’m new to your videos. This is so well done, I’d say it’s one of the best one I’ve seen. Thank you so much taking us along, I feel like I was there with you guys.
Watching this video and it makes me feel like i have actually been there and done the hikes ! Thank you so much for sharing !
hard to imagine that less than1:100 viewers liked this video, it was superb, thanks to you and pops sharing your wonderful trip with us all 😊
I love how you guys narrate your travels. Very informative & I love your suggestions too. Keep on traveling.
Very helpful to have your father say what is doable for us parents' of adult children.
Just recently found your channel and I am loving it so much. Your good relationship with your father and calm and relaxed narration and vlogging puts a smile on my face. You and your Pops are my favorite youtubers now. 💚 -love from the Philippines
Typo there..Moonset
I love your pops . Hes enjoying himself.❤
As an foreign national, your videos are really helping me to plan my tours, Great work👍
You're a Real Pro at this-- so many others we cant stand to watch; personalities, shrill voices, silliness- But You and 'Pops' are such a Pleasure!!
Thanks!
JUST GO GABY!!! I've been life changing.
When I first visited the Grand Canyon we
were 2 of only 4 people in the Grand Canyon at that time of day and one mystery ride bus, lol.
I'm so happy I got to do this trip before civilization destroyed it. I have also crossed America via train 4 times in a sleeper prior to COVID and I'm thankful for that amazing experience. Even train travel and the magical experience have been diminished. 😢
America is the most breathtakingly beautiful country on the planet.
We are enjoy on a road trip :D
We stay The View hotel.
We are going to watch the sunrise tomorrow morning and valley drive!
I can’t sleep because looking forward.
I watch this video so many times.
Special thanks to JOSH and POPS!!
What amazing rock formations and canyons in those Utah National Parks. Wonderfully made video. Watching it from Argentina.
Thank you for sharing your trip. It was very informative. Your dad is great.
Bro, awesome footage. Love the father son bonding too. Great editing as well.
You and your father make more and more fantastic travel programs. This one deserves an Oscar 😁🤘👍👍
Thanks! 😃 Just love hearing that people enjoy the videos since we enjoy making them
@@ThroughMyLens And you take good care and respond our feedback 😁👍 Good luck with your next episode. Hope one day you take trips over seas to Norway and other countries in Scandinavia. Look up Lofoten in Norway it’s insane nature, and every body knows english in norway. ALOT to see in Norway, and we have many tourists from America here.👍

We love you guys,

You wrote what I thought. Wonderful relationship and a nice father, as long I cannot see his „bad“ sides 🤓
