Currently have a vata imbalance - self inflicted, too much red lentils, pasta, spinach, and not sticking to a routine during autumn and winter. Also whilst I don’t consume much junk food, I’ve indulged in too much organic dark chocolate and some crisps 🙉🙈
This list was a great reminder 🙏🏾

as a kid i would drink warm milk and honey all the time as a treat. I fiured i could take a look at ayurvedic cooking advice and what i see is that i already eat what I should (along with other things that are not advised at vata but i never have any digestive issues other than a hiccups) not because it's best for me or I see a benefit, but because it's the type of food I enjoy anyway

Can we use ashwagandha powder too?
As i have read it is warming, and also, ashwagandha powder is made from the roots of ashwagandha so, it may be grounding too?

If you have a Vata imbalance, you are better of eating cooked foods, instead of raw foods. Warm, cooked foods with healthy fats are the best way to balance Vata. And yes, including the ten on the list will also help balance Vata.

There are many choices, you can pick yourself by the information that, the quality of the food you choose should be oily and hydrating (for vat dosh)
One or two examples are, eat maybe omelette made in ghee, or parathe made in ghee, home made makhan applied on it would make a great start for the day.✌

I cannot eat oatmeal. I just soak a grain overnight, rinse and drain, and simmer covered for 25 minutes in almond milk. I use 2T grains and almost 1 cup almond milk. The grains I use: buckwheat groats, teff, millet, amaranth, or quinoa. Buckwheat is my favorite.

Omg, oatmeal causes a acid reflux, i can't have dairy (lactose intolerance), almonds i am allergic, i don't like spicy food, after eating giger i will burp all day and will hurt my belly and i feel good doing intermittent fasting 😅 I am Vata for sure, my stomach is always upset, thats why i feel better not eating at all 🤪🙉🙊🙈 how to help to normalize my vata 🤪🤦‍♀️the only think on the list, i love dates and rice and i feel good 🤣

Meat healed my gut. Especially lamb. I was in a really bad way after only eating plants for 5 years. Plus too much raw and soy, legumes etc.
Now I can have a little dairy or oats. Not too much or too often.
Also ginger is terrible for me! I've never come across anyone with the same issues as me specifically dairy, oats and ginger. Reflux, allergies.
