I’d love to see a video on how to accurately create a recipe in my fitness pal. This is my biggest struggle. I know how to measure all of the ingredients in grams for accuracy, but The only option I see in my fitness pal when creating a recipe is number of servings, so say I make a recipe and it’s 8 servings but I don’t want an entire serving or I want a little bit more…there is no option to accurately measure the serving in grams. I don’t know if this makes sense or not, maybe I’m overthinking it but this makes it hard to track things where there aren’t going to be an even amount per serving because you fixed it for family dinner or if you are eating somewhere and you’re trying to track it for yourself.

So, I'm on Tik Tok and I look up (e.g) "Low Calorie Breakfast Sandwich" and they state that it's only 354 but when I make the exact same thing with the exact same ingredients my calorie count is higher. After watching your 'Calorie Counting' video I've weighed everything in grams regardless of if it says 1 slice of bread is 70 calories but I weigh it and shows (and inputting it into MyFitnessPal) 45g (1 slice) = 85 calories. So am I better off making my own recipes as long as I'm weighing everything and alternating the ingredients I use?

Hi Eric. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I always wonder if I’m doing this right because most of your examples are people much smaller than me. I used your formula to set my calorie goal to be in a deficit. I’m 5’6” 308lbs and I’m set to 2700 calories because my first goal is 280 so I’m allowing myself to eat between 2700 and 2800 calories. Is that correct? Also thank you for preaching consistency and mindset changes
Do you have any great tips where you don’t have to track or count calories? I’ve done it for 3 years using MFP and it controls my entire day and mind! I’m not doing it anymore but I still have weight to lose. I’m 50 with hypothyroid and in menopause. I get more than 10,000 steps a day and I started strength training at home using RUclips. My doctor has prescribed me ozempic injections once a week but I obviously need to be in a cal deficit and drink water and exercise. I have question what’s if ur poor .. and can barely go grocery shopping and want to keep losing wieght I’m not trynna speed things up ect.. but I’ve been eating very low in calories it by choice but because I have no other choice I eat my macros correctly and don’t eat improper ect.. it’s just I’ve been eating significantly less than I need I’m afraid I will stop losing wieght or my body will try for some reason to gain back wieght even tho I’m not eating bad whatsoever intact I’m eating very intuively healthy like I have to lose the wieght where I am just not eating enough calories because I’m poor and don’t have much .. what should I do I never see anyone consider this makes me pretty mad .
