YESSSS THIS FIXED MY PROBLEM!!! I thought I was doing something wrong with the installation! It's so good to know that Logic just had to rescan everything, I no longer feel crazy ahahah.

Hey there! I want to use Kontakt on Logic Pro, but it doesn't works. What happens if that folder is missing?
Be sure to download the software through Native access and that should install an AU Component file that Logic will read (usually after a restart). After that you should be able to open up the plug-in menu and find it under the Native Instruments category. You can also check the plug-in manager to see if it has in fact installed onto your system. Be sure to download the 10 free logic pro courses that we have made available. What about the plugins that only have a dash? I can't find the scripter logic plugin outside of plug-ins manager
Scripter is a Midi FX plug-in. That can be found atop the Software instrument Channel Strip. Hope that helps.
As soon as I removed the cache folder from audio unit cache & try to get back into logic, logic won’t even open! It says something about ALL my other plugin content can’t be found & it literally won’t let me back into logic. Is that normal?
To be clear you removed the file but not the folder right (as I did in this video)? Hopefully we can get this sorted. Cheers!
Thanks for the video it was very helpful. I am having problems installing some Waves plug-ins into Logic. I was successful in installing the version 10 plug-ins, but for some reason the version 9 plug-in installer from Waves is not installing them as they are not visible in the plug-in manager. Any ideas how to correct this?

You’re welcome. I would venture to say that version nine is not compatible with your current operating system. This is definitely one of the downfalls of waves, unless you update your waves license and your operating system, things just won’t work. Hope that helps.

There are a couple things to look at here. I really should make a video about this. I’m not sure how deep your understanding of logic is. Make sure that you were looking in the correct category. Is this a software instrument? Is this a audio effect? Is it a midi controlled affect? also, when instantiating the plug-in, are you looking within the Apple/Logic category or are you looking at the third-party Instruments?

My plugins are all validated but I cannot find them anywhere in the library. When I go to library when. my midi controller track is selected is says "sounds" and lists channels 1-16 which makes no sense to me. Can anyone help me? Ive spent the last 6 hours trying to figure this out.
Can you confirm that you were using a software instrument track? Go to the top of the menu bar and create a track but be sure it is a software instrument track. LMK It sounds like you were using an external midi track and you don’t want that.
I just bought the Neural DSP and did all the activation process but can't manage to put the plugin into logic. Can't find the neural manufacturer anywhere. Any help?
Are you looking for it in audio Fx? Just want to be clear. Can you confirm that you have checked the plug-in manager as well?

which year mac are you using? i have high sierra 2017 21 inch should i make uodate to big sur? and update to logic pro x 10.6?
The question of upgrading is a very personal one and very much depends on your needs. Logic 10.5 gives you pretty much all the features available on 10.6. I can tell you this with certainty because I am the official proofreader of the Logic GEM manuals. I personally would not upgrade because of plug-in compatibility but this only applies if you buy third-party plug-ins. So my plug in waves center is on some of my other projects but when I open a new project file up it’s not there can you help me? And I already scanned for it and it says successful but it still won’t show
Hey Martin. Sure no prob. In the plug-in search, search in the Waves folder...can you confirm if it is here? Also, have you ever played with the plug-in manager? Plug-ins can go missing when mistakes are made here. Lastly, which plug-in is it? Instrument or Audio FX. Cheers!!!

Thank you . Somehow i can't find the AUdioUnitCache folder ... Logic is scanning and showing up only my UAD plugins but all other plugins remain at the exact sam folder . I'm lost :O
My vid called “Where are my Logic Pro files?” Should be able to point you in the right direction. There are two of them and an extended training. Find the components folder. Hope this helps.

Hi there. If you are referring to the Cache list, this is an internal screenshot that Logic takes of all your plug ins and if you want to do a NEW scan, you can follow the prompts from the video. If you need anything else, hit us up. Stay up!
Hold Option key when you hit go and select library, it's hidden unless you do it the way it is mentioned in this video, or the way I've just explained. Hope this is what you meant.

What do I do if my components and VST folder is empty? I just downloaded plug ins from waves and none of them are loading onto the studio rack, it doesn’t even show any plug ins, am i missing something?
To be clear...there are 2 file paths you have to look at. The MAC path and the user path. When I get to my computer, I will give you more info. Are your plug-ins loading into your DAW aside from studio rack?
@@_TheModernCreative i truly just feel like maybe it’s not meant for me LOL , so last night when I was downloading the plug ins i noticed that when you go to the place where you see all your plug ins in the library it was only showing studio rack even though i downloaded like 5 plug ins, and then when I look in my waves it shows me i downloaded a plug in but it’s not activated, these are just free plug ins I downloaded from waves so it’s confusing to see. Anyways none of the plug ins were showing in the area where you would see all your plug ins outside of being in DAW , and if I try to load any of the plug ins it’s a gray area that won’t let me click on the actual plug ins, and the files are XSP files, idk if that’s affecting it?
We all feel like that in the beginning. It’s just another learning curve. You will get it. Let me clarify a couple of things. Logic uses AU components to read plug-ins. The file path is MAC>Library>Audio>Plug-ins. Waves uses an additional tech called Waveshell which is found inside of this components folder (follow the file path just mentioned). We are currently at a crossroads because of compatibility. You have to make sure that the versions you downloaded from waves are compatible with your current operating software. In other words if you are still on Catalina, but you downloaded waves versions compatibile with Big Sur, they simply will not work. Just keep pushing a little bit every day and never steered clear of the fact that you’re number one priority is to improve every day and make music. All of this learning is just a means to an end. @@_TheModernCreative I’ll have to look into what I’m running! I’m pretty sure it’s Big Sur! It’s really tough tho because I spent hours trying to figure this out and it just went right over my head, it just too much confusion for me, I was able to locate the wave shell and etc and when I used the WavesAUG i believe it’s called to search for the plug ins it says there’s 0 AU folders found, so I’m confused really, hopefully I can figure it out if not I will have to stick with the stock plug ins! but I appreciate you responding! I’m gonna go back on today and put more effort and time into figuring it out

Can anyone plz tell me why my "Unlock SMPTE" Is greyed out? Driving me insane.
Have you checked your advanced preferences? Are all the checkboxes ticked? Assuming this is a pre-10.7 version of Logic.
i opened my project today and all my stock mastering mastering plugins have disappeared from the channel strip. i had the mix sounding awesome but none of it is here ..like it didnt save any of the plugins i tweaked... stock plugins that are installed disappeared and i have to start over..
Are you sure you hit command save? Logic pro should also be saving auto back ups in the background. It could have also been that the session got corrupted. Be sure to always double back up your files even as your mixing a project.
Yes im a chronic saver.And all the recordings and wave files are saved and current....the only thing missing is the plugins on the mixer bus .They dissappeard like i never used em..and I'm missing a four hour gap of backups between 6pm and 10pm. So the backup log skips from 635pm to 1030pm.
In your preferences under the general tab - does it say auto back up = last 10 alternative versions? Sorry this happened.
Hi there maybe you can help me. I have Keyscape and had to factory reset my MacBook. I saved everything to my E-Hard drive and downloaded it back on after the reset. However, I can't find the plug-in when I load my logic up. Keyscape works when I load it by itself but the plug-in is showing in logic. And I did everything in this video. Is there something I'm missing?

Hi. How to reset komplete kontrol s61 mk2 to work with logic?
This requires some trouble shoot @nothought. Ideally, you just unplug and plug it back in and everything works the way it’s supposed to. If not, let me know and I will do my best to walk you through the process.

What if I don't see my plugin manufacturer in the side bar in plugin manager?
Adrian...You how I have never seen this but a couple of questions for you. Do you have 3rd party plug-ins installed? Also, have you tried RESTORE DEFAULT SETTINGS? I need a little more info and we should be able to bring you up to speed. Cheers!!!!
@@_TheModernCreative yes I have the third party plug-in installed but I have not reset the default settings. I think it may be a problem with my component because the component file isn’t shaped like a building block thing. Idk if that has anything to do with it but I’m pretty sure .component is supposed to look like some sort of lego. Mine just looks like a blank page. I believe you have the wrong files inserted in the components folder. Can you rescan and confirm? I’ll be here.

done checked and reset compability at plugging manager but still can't find my STL ignite amp on logic.
Try restarting your computer. Do you have a new computer by chance? This seems to be an ongoing problem for newer systems.

Certain manufacturers are simply not making their Plug-ins compatible with the latest versions of the silicon computers or Intel Mac computers.

what’s annoying is that everything is in the right area- the plug ins show up in garageband, and they show up in the plug ins manager but they won’t show up in the audio units in the audio effects slot.
Do you have a new computer? M1?

Sometimes the simple restart will do the job. Make sure compatibility is up to snuff. In other words, does the version of the plug-in match with your operating software. LMK

How to get ChromaVerb?
Chromaverb comes with Logic Pro. Check under the “Reverb” section within the plug-in menu. Only available from Logic 10.4 and onward. Hope this helps!!!

The issue I'm having is I don't even see it in the plug in manager
Then it’s a compatibility issues with the operating software. If you have a new M1 computer, this is very common. Try reinstalling and make sure you are enabling the option for AU components. Hope this helps.
@@_TheModernCreative I figured it was compatibility. I do have an M1. I reinstalled the plug in multiple times but no luck. Where is the au components option?
Check with the manufacturer to make sure they support M1 (some don’t). I don’t remember the file path off the top but I’m pretty sure it’s Library-Audio-Plug-ins.

Been trynna learn the ropes of logic for my home setup but the plugins I downloaded dont show up
Ive watched alot of videos pertaining this issue
Usually a re-start will help but if you have Big Sur/M1 Computer, the plug-ins can very well be incompatible, in which case, they will not show up. I do have more videos on the channel pertaining to the subject. Hope this helps and I am taking private clients as well. Hope this helps.
