Ok so i put the Au in the component folder but I also have a separate folder with sounds where does that folder go?...(Every video I've seen does the first part but what about if you have a folder with the sounds/instruments

I have one question though- After following all of the steps and checking that my Slate Digital plugin is indeed successfully verified...I rebooted Logic and I am still showing Apple in my audio unit section with no 3rd party plugins. What would be the next step to troubleshoot this issue? --Adam
i have the same problem, everything seems to be fine as in the video tutorial but when i go to audio units in logic it doesnt show anything but the apple file i already watched the video to see if am doing something wrong but as i said everything seems to be ok

Thanks for the comment! I recommend to “force quit” Logic and restart it so it can scan your computer’s destination. In addition, going into Preferences > Plugin Manager and checking off the plugin under “Use” should fo the trick. Let me know if you have any questions.
thanks for the help. just tried it and didnt work for me. did all the touble shooting and it was in use and passed test. it still wasnt showing up in plug ins/instruments. but then i created a new (software instrument) track and clicked the drop down arrow that says "instruments" and it was there under "Au instruments" guess this was because it was a midi/instrument plug in?? hopethat helps someone
This method works but if you install a VSTi or the plugin(s) from Splice Sounds then there's a whole different method and none of this will work for Logic Pro X. I emailed Splice and they told me I needed to restart their desktop app and open up the Audio Midi Setup under utilities.
I've added the .component file into the Component folder... and it's not showing up anywhere in Plug-In Manager. There's no 'incompatible' folder. It's just not showing up at all. Any advice?

I don t know if i have to buy it or not , i tried to search up how to get the analog lab on the arturia site but couldn t find anything helpful... Thanks for watching. So the Arturia keylab is considered hardware. The Analog Lab is still technically a plugin and would need to be downloaded and run through logic as a plugin. I see on the website it’s $199, but if you received a private key or download code with your purchase of the hardware keyboard, then that would be free.

Hey! I downloaded "virgin choir" and dragged its vst file to the desired location. However, it isn't present in my DAW (Logic Pro X; and yes it is compatible for mac os), and it is also not showing the plugin in the plugin manager. Any advice?

How do you even open the first window?

Those are AAX plug-in types. Only Pro tools uses them, not neeed for Logic Ppro, Reaper, etc
