Fun Fact: Revali is one of the youngest Champions, as commented on by Urbosa in her diary being around the same age as Link and Zelda. This is also the reason why he's the only "adult" Rito that still has the cheek markings only seen on the child Rito; Revali is a teenage prodigy! Plus he has a soft spot for kids and made the flight range in order to teach the next generation.
Love this. Feels like players have to be just as much of a perfectionist as Revali himself to do well. Here's some ideas for victory animations: 1. Revali stands up straight, then bows in the direction of the camera with an exaggeration gesture of his wings, mockingly asking "Was there ever any doubt?". He then tilts his head up, looking at the camera directly with a smug expression. 2. Revali crouches down, readying his gale before bursting upward, back flipping in the air before landing back on the ground again in the same crouched position. He mutters "I must push higher" as he does this. 3. A target is seen standing on its own, before an arrow hits it straight in the centre, knocking it over with the force. The camera zooms out to show Revali, still in shooting position, before he turns to the camera spouting "Pretty good, no?". As a bonus, here's some unique lines against other characters Link: "See you on Vah Medoh, 'Champion'..." Zelda: "My apologies your highness." Young Link & Toon Link: "And here I thought the regular one was irksome." Sheik: "Let Impa know the power of this rito!" Ganondorf: "HAH! Some calamity you turned out to be!" Falco: "Hmph! Imitator."
Great stuff as usual, was an especially big fan of the neutral special! I think it’s funny how Smash had two golden opportunities for avian archers in Revali and Decidueye, but passed over both. Oh, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how your takes on Zoroark or Raven Beak compare to the concepts I gave them.
This moveset is very interesting, I didn't realize how little we have of archery in Smash (despite how many characters use bows) until I watched this. Personally I think Vah Medoh would work even better if it was similar to ZSS's final smash, but the cinematic sounds awesome too.
Yeah it's weird at the lack of archers, doubly so since 3 Houses even has a Lord who IS an Archer (oh hey Claude!) and the Close Counter Skill which I love as someone who went from Awakening into 3 Houses who would proceed to laugh at the Anime Swordfighter whiners having their big argument against Fire Emblem undermined since let's be honest: they aren't mad it's an anime swordfight, rather their mad that the anime swordfighter THEY wanted didn't get in as Sephiroth and Sora have both proven regarding their reactions! I mean, why? Why the lack of archery, now more than ever between Claude, Teba and Revali? And yes, it'd be a nice change of pace having a Sniper type Zoner and it'd fit with Revali so very well! Cause he worked HARD for that skill and it shows!
I think his final smash could also work in a similar way to ones like ZSS's, letting you aim the reticle instead of it just being a cinematic. I feel like I'd prefer it this way both to give you the feeling of controlling an ancient super weapon, and because it would totally be in character for Revali to summon his divine beast and fire it, only to just miss entirely lmao. That aside, this was a much more fun episode than I was expecting; great work! VERY excited for whatever the next character is out of the 3 options!
Solid concept. I like how you managed to fit in so many different unique properties into his specials and even normals that fit straight into Revali's aesthetic, while also taking great care so that his kit maintains cohesiveness and doesn't feel overloaded. Having lots of projectiles on his normals, interesting hitboxes and hurtbox shifts that include potential high profiles due to their bird-like properties, flexibility to threaten opponents from angles you don't normally see, a command grab, projectiles that focus on utility and precision over raw power, etc to throw out some examples of just how much was naturally fit into there lol. Have to say it's definitely one of my favorite movesets you've made.
Yes, my favorite Champion! I wish I could have voted for him myself, but I'm a bit low on cash right now. So I guess some good old fashioned engagement will have to do!
Personally, I've always been of the mindset that Vaati would have been a great Zelda newcomer for bringing a wind-based fighting style to the table. But Revali having that as part of his own kit makes sense.
I love me some Revali content. Gotta say, if this moveset got in, its either gonna be like, shiek/pit mix and not the best, OR it'll be beyonetta 2, which I HIGHLY support.
I just thought of an awesome idea for a video; Malenia, Blade of Miquella! She has such a diverse move pool, and some very unique mechanics. Maybe she could incorporate her Lifesteal and Rot Goddess form in a way that doesn’t make her extremely broken or cheap(somehow). Regardless, I unironically think she would be an awesome character for Smash.
Finally Revali takes flight! I'm a fan of Ray-man like most people, but he's got so many move-sets and your amazing video on Revali feels like a breath of fresh air. Choosing between Black Mage; who's move-set could represent the Final Fantasy's traditional turn-based battle. And Raven beak RADIATES the feeling of a menacing and powerful character similar to Ridley. 🧙vs👽🪶
Good work, I go with Zoroark or Raven beak or can I make a suggestion for Azura, Melia and Nia? I also have more ideas for fighters. Megaman EXE- Jacks In! Alucard- A Night for a Fight! Pyramid Head- Welcome to Silent Hill! Matoi- Code Emergency! Professor Layton- Pieces The Puzzle! Oliver/Even- Crowned! Sol Badguy- Let’s Rock! Adol Cristin- Adventures In! Ryza Stoutlin- Mix Things Up! Laharl- Overlords all!
Decidueye, you've got company. Speaking of Pokémon, Zoroark has a Hisui region variant that plays almost exactly like its Unovan counterpart, only difference being the typing, Hisuian being normal ghost instead of pure dark.
Excellent work once again, Delzethin! Don't worry about the countless delays it took you to make this moveset concept, it was well worth the wait! If you ever need to take breaks, then go right ahead! Even though I may find Zelda: Breath Of The Wild to be a bit overrated, and I find the Champions to be mainly 1-dimensional (the DLC didn't really flesh out their personalities further if you ask me, their character designs are more memorable in my opinion), I do see Revali as a fantastic archer being used in Smash (even if I don't really see a newer installment ever happening due to the toll it took on Sakurai, and his team), he could definitely stand out from other few users that wield a bow! I could also see Teba join too either as an alt swap, or even a Dash Fighter of Revali! I am glad to hear that you'll also be doing the other 3 Champions at some point! Of course, take your time, it'll definitely be worth the wait! Take some time off if you need to! I look forward to your next Challenger Approaching video! :D I don't know who this "Raven Beak" character is that appeared as one of the 3 candidates for the next CA, but I can't wait on who the next fighter will be!
I feel like if Ultimate wasn't Everyone is Here we probably would've gotten the champions... also probably lost a lot of fan favourite characters in the process, but I feel like with the love Zelda keeps getting Sakurai knows it needs love, just couldn't justify it alongside all the Links.
Damn, three very worthy proposal for next time. I imagine Raven beak will come out on top, tho Zoroak might be very close. The month where Isaac is listed, I'll defo come in to vote. Not losing that poll
That's not how bows work (referring to the thumbnail) I don't understand why the command grab needed to have him firing arrows at the end instead of just slamming/throwing the opponent
Unfortunately, the Smash games generally exclude characters or developments from the console they are released on as they release within a year of the console's debut. This still does not excuse them dodging fan desires in DLC.
Why still have nintendo characters when everyone wants a SIMS fighter (I'm just kidding, only me want that) In reality I would like to see a video of a cult video game character whose type of game is not yet present in the game (point and click, mobile games, simulation...) and a bit like steve and minecraft, see how to adapt the gameplay of his game to a combat gameplay
4:20 You know something that bothers me, miphas grace revives you when dou die, So why doesn't she revive the other champions once both her and them are free.
Ravali is cool and all, but let's be honest. If there was a champion from The legend of Zelda breath of the wild that would be playable it would no doubt be a lady Urbosa
I like your videos! Can you do a moveset for Reimu Hakurei from Touhou? Looking at the quality of your moveset ideas, I'm pretty sure you can make a fun and interesting one for her!
I would love ❤️ & like to see Revali From The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild to be in the Next Future-Gen Smash Bros.™️ Game or Additional DLC Content Fighter Pass Vol. 3 In Smash Ultimate that could happen in the media future of 2022.
How about a character who's garnered a ton of popularity lately thanks to meme culture, and who's fan base isn't as insufferable as a certain... purple testicular tumor: Raiden from Metal Gear Rising Revengance. Sam would make a neat echo fighter, and they would collectively represent something that I feel Smash Bros is sorely lacking in: the Fujin and Raijin of smash!
Zelda representation has really lost its luster in both quality and quantity. It's got three copies of one character and two of another (on top of a pitiful disservice to Ganondorf, added as an afterthought), - but that *still* puts it behind Fire Emblem, in terms of both individual characters and unique movesets. Revali's pretty high on my Zelda-specific wishlist, but i'd take *just about anyone that wasn't a blond Hylian*
Well obviously he’s younger than mipha. She is hundreds of years old. Daruk is a grandpa, and urbosa is a full on adult chief.
@@ackflaminco2902yeah, but he might even be younger than link and zelda
Dude this make it so much sad, imagine if we could have seen his fathers reaction of his death:(
Love this. Feels like players have to be just as much of a perfectionist as Revali himself to do well.

Nice, last one’s very funny. I want to see Revali, Falco and Berdly in the same game.
AGH I'm fangirling over your amazing ideas!!!
Inc this captures him perfectly!!! Great job!!
Don't feel bad about all the delays this went through, at least it didn't take as long as waiting for Revali's Gale to charge up when you need it
Great stuff as usual, was an especially big fan of the neutral special! I think it’s funny how Smash had two golden opportunities for avian archers in Revali and Decidueye, but passed over both. I'm more of an Urbosa guy personally, but I respect the effort you put in for Revali.
Solid concept. I like how you managed to fit in so many different unique properties into his specials and even normals that fit straight into Revali's aesthetic, while also taking great care so that his kit maintains cohesiveness and doesn't feel overloaded. Have to say it's definitely one of my favorite movesets you've made.
Making Revali weak to swordies is hilarious. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but it's amazing.
Ah man is it nice to hear someone really do Revali justice--- Great video
I honestly thought Revali would grab you with his foot/talons and peck your eyes out with the pummel. Think of a grappling kick!
Yes, my favorite Champion! I wish I could have voted for him myself, but I'm a bit low on cash right now. So I guess some good old fashioned engagement will have to do!
I wish revali had that final smash. You read my mind! I WISH REVALI JOINS SMASH!!!!!!
Personally, I've always been of the mindset that Vaati would have been a great Zelda newcomer for bringing a wind-based fighting style to the table. But Revali having that as part of his own kit makes sense.

I love the effort put into this video. Keep it up!
If one of his taunts isn’t “personally, I prefer the air”, I don’t want it
Really 😒
Fantastic! I'd love to give him a play if this were ever to become a reality. Looking forward to all of the next video options too!
Great vid! Can't wait to see the other Champions at some point. (and Phoenix Wright lol)
My favorite champion 🐦
It’s my favorite champion too. He is cool, in my opinion.

🧙vs👽🪶
Revali's run animation should be him skateboarding on a miniature vah medoh. Definently canon
I quite enjoy this take on the zoner archetype. More sniper than bullet hell.
Awesome concept! Revali would totally have a snarky remark if he beat Link, similar to Dark Pit with Pit or something
Yooo MegaMan.Exe
I would have really liked to see Revali in Smash Bros ultimate, great video 👍🏻
Decidueye, you've got company. Speaking of Pokémon, Zoroark has a Hisui region variant that plays almost exactly like its Unovan counterpart, only difference being the typing, Hisuian being normal ghost instead of pure dark.
maybe one day…
i hope…
The character I didn't know I wanted until this video
Great Video. Could you do Skull Kid/Majora? I would love to see him in the next smash game!

Wow this guy sounds amazing! Let's crowd fund some decent mod developers & make a couple of your best kits
Funny, in my Revali moveset, I included a similar Down Smash with a bomb arrow
I’m hoping more for Urbosa to join Smash 6 or any future Smash game, but maybe I’d play as Revali as well
Ah yes, my favorite bird person: Ravioli
I feel like if Ultimate wasn't Everyone is Here we probably would've gotten the champions... also probably lost a lot of fan favourite characters in the process, but I feel like with the love Zelda keeps getting Sakurai knows it needs love, just couldn't justify it alongside all the Links.

The month where Isaac is listed, I'll defo come in to vote. Not losing that poll
Ironic that you'd cover this character when I'm playing Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity recently.
I actually have him in the base roster of my Smash 6 concept. We need new Zelda reps. And Revali is a perfect choice
That's not how bows work (referring to the thumbnail)
I don't understand why the command grab needed to have him firing arrows at the end instead of just slamming/throwing the opponent

4:20 You know something that bothers me, miphas grace revives you when dou die, So why doesn't she revive the other champions once both her and them are free.
As kool as your idea is, I'd like to see a goron character maybe Darunia or Daruk

OC fursona moment
nvm it's apparently a real character
Can you do Marina Liteyears from Mischief Makers?
I honestly think that the champions could all be the same fighter Pokémon trainer style
What about a Hisiuan Trainer with Cynderqill Dewott and Decidueye
I would love ❤️ & like to see Revali From The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild to be in the Next Future-Gen Smash Bros.™️ Game or Additional DLC Content Fighter Pass Vol. 3 In Smash Ultimate that could happen in the media future of 2022.

Make one for Daruk plz
"Revali was revealed", duh
Honestly I hate Revali as I find him annoying and I would choose "Urbosa" to join SSB instead! Or even Impa and Linkle to join SSB!
Zelda representation has really lost its luster in both quality and quantity. I would skull kid over Revali to be honest.
I would had sidon besides of him 😑
Balan if he Join SSBU super smash bros ultimate please?
