@@INFERNO95 Doesn't mean people can't like him or ask for him to get recognition. Plus, since Nintendo has featured Waluigi in many games developed by him, I'd argue they own the rights to Waluigi.
You kind mistake the order, tho. Since NIntendo already dislike Waluigi in general games, Nintendo would still not want to put Waluigi in Smash. Like, Cinderella had been disliked by her stepmother, so why would you expect her to bring her to the roYal party and let her meet the prince? They should already like him in most games, and then they would consider him for Smash. That's the right logic.
@@Doracake You sure? Because they wouldn't add a character they hate into every single Mario spinoff, or give him a conference room at the Nintendo of America, or make him the main antagonist of most sports games. Just because they don't use him everywhere doesn't mean they hate them. They could have easily left him as a one-game character in Mario Tennis, but they didn't. They could have easily replaced him with someone like Captain Syrup or Jimmy T, but they didn't. And you know why? Because Nintendo doesn't hate him. They don't hate any of their characters, and that's a fact. Sorry for the long comment, I just had a lot to get out!
These are all the basic ideas behind other Smash RUclipsrs that I’ve seen before this one: Brawlfan1: mostly references to the Mario spinoffs and was also based off a moveset concept he made for Daisy before she became playable DukeofDorks: the Deadpool of Smash Max Hamm: Smash moveset gone completely insane/someone might have been on drugs while making this And now this one which shares some similarities to all 3 honestly. In fact, every Waluigi moveset I’ve seen has some random elements or awkward/ weird attributes, and the best part is that all of them fit. Waluigi is a joke character at heart even when you ignore all the memes, so people having a lot of different ideas as to how he could work is part of the fun of talking about him. Overall, this is a well done moveset for the Great Grandmaster of Wah along with all the others. Well done.
I think the problem is in NIntendo and Director Sakurai's view, if they can just create random or original moveset, they can do this for any character especially the one they like, so we wouldn't know who'd win this. Like Plant Piranha is literally just like what you mean and it wins, so clearly this idea doesn't help Waluigi only The point is Waluigi had to compete against many characters who have participated in other major games with completed moveset concept. We should think if Waluigi has a major game role, that would help him much better in the Smash invite competition.
This moveset is actually great. I think Waluigi will no doubt enter in the next game, and he could be pretty similar to this. I also think Waluigi could get his own game sometime in the future, so, if that ever happens, they will for sure try to implement elements from it. Only thing I'm not so sure of this moveset is the Down B though, maybe it's too much to alter stages like that, both from a programming and design standpoint but it's certainly interesting. Maybe it could affect fighters directly, causing status effects or triggering surprise attacks, like poison, stunning the enemy or just exploding and dealing damage, all at random. Or maybe even nothing at all! Other than that, the moveset is great, certainly better than others I've seen that try to get as many sports and references as possible.
Waluigi could get his Soccer uniform from Strikers, and I think He's kinda like the DC character Sportsmaster, and that would be the best way to make his moveset based off all the Sports and even Kart tricks He has had.
Yeah, I can see that. Having Waluigi's moveset take inspiration from Casey Jones or Sportmaster seems weirdly fitting considering Waluigi's history with the Mario Sports spin-offs.
@@thegreygoblin5165 The problem is Waluigi isn't known for soccer and sports. If we need sport, shouldn't we scout characters who were actually born from a sport game franchise?
@@Doracake honestly my only guess would be like an excite biker I genuinely don't know any other sports game characters... idk maybe an excite biker would be more unique.
I really like Waluigi, whether for the memes or just as a character in general and I'm always a bit bummed that people dismiss him because he's "just" a meme. Great moveset concept. I do wonder where the ground-stomp he uses as an Assist Trophy went, though.
It could be awesome if Waluigi's up smash launched a tennis ball as a projectile while the down Smash is the flurry amount of kicks that buries the opponent.
AS a waluigi fan who's been dressing up as him for the past 4 years for holloween Yes this is amazing I've seen some other movesets and I think a mix of all of them would be great I like what you did with his normal attacks and final smash And I love what ssf2 did with specials a mix of both of them would be amazing
While Waluigi Hasn't made an appearance in the main series games, he certainly exists. He has been referenced to. For example, Mario can wear his outfit in Super Mario Odyssey.
2:52 I know this isn't official or canon, but Charles Martinet (the voice of these characters and the Mario Bros.) believes that Wario and Waluigi were just two bad guys that met each other one day and got along pretty well.
So the problem is always that Nintendo seem to ignore it when they made Wario's own series. Like, Waluigi sure also gets along with Jimmy and Mona, too.
Waluigi is more than just a meme and I always get shit on for saying I actually want him in. People tell me there is no reason for him to be in Or doesn’t represent anything. But I always saw it as he represented the losers, the underdogs, the kid who was always picked last for the team. And although it seems strange for me to say this (or not) I used video games to escape the harshness of the real world (not gonna get into that I’m cool now) and yet Waluigi and his silly attire and attributes were always there to make me happy. And yet here I am a 21 year old guy rambling about Waluigi
id love for waluigis moveset to be absolutely ridiculous. the man can swim in the air and create thorny vines out of thin air he is so weird just go absolutely INSANE with it. im glad the air swimming got referenced tantrum as the down smash sounds amazing its a fittingly ridiculous idea for a move and is very in character!! LOVE the taunts too
For the box I think to make Waluigi worth it he could have just about every Mario kart item. It’d still be random and if you’re argument is that it’s too much, Hero has 20 spells all randomly displayed 5 at a time.
The fun thing about Waluigi is that he does something new almost every time he shows up. You can make the guy do literally anything you want (as long as it follows Nintendo's rules of keeping the series family-friendly) and no one would even question it, because hey, it's Waluigi; when has he ever done anything that made sense to begin with? That's why, if by some miracle Waluigi were to ever be playable in Smash, I would want his entire moveset to just be one big mind screw.
But that can be said to any character if we want him/her playable, that wouldn't be a specific reason for Nintendo to notice Waluigi in the first place. The exact same thing may be said to Plant Piranha, for example, so that Plant Pirahna has the good reason to rob Waluigi's chance, would you really agree with that? Ultimately, the movsets are usually sourced from real games, not entirely originally created in Smash. Which is also why Waluigi needs to learn more exclusive moves by going to more new games, like how Peach learned in Showtime.
my idea for his trailer, they show the Smash logo, per usual, show one of the older Shash character trailers, but slowly zooms out, and you see it's playing on a TV, then you see 9 monitors, and as it zooms out, shows a wall of TVs, each screen playing a trailer from a Smash game. and pans to the side to see a huge easy chair facing the TVs, but has a high back, and all you see is a hand resting on the arm of the chair, just tapping the fingers idlely as they watch silently....then pulls out a remote, and presses the button, and as all the TVs change channels, one by one, you hear a familiar laugh, as when the TVs change channel, You see a giant Waluigi logo from his hat appear on the wall of TVs.
I have an idea of Waluigi’s reveal trailer. The scene opens in Luigi’s casino (from Mario 64 DS). Full of characters. At the poker table, sits 4 assist trophies. Rodin, Zero, Spring Man and Shadow. The 4 are talking about who could become a full-on fighter next, like little Mac or dark samus did…when the lean, mean meme machine sits down with them. They greet Waluigi, before agreeing on the wager being a smash bros invitation. Rodin deals out the cards and their game of Black Jack begins. After what felt like hours (though more so a few minutes), it came down to the wire. Spring man and Shadow had gone bust, while zero and Waluigi remained. Waluigi was at 19. Favourable, but risky. Zero was at 18. Lower risk, but less than ideal for being so late in the game. Waluigi decides to stay at 19, due to the high risk of being at 19. Zero asks for another card and at 18, a 4 or higher will make him go bust. But if he gets a 2-3, he’s won the invite. Rodin nods silently and gives a card to zero. Rodin wasn’t too interested in participating in the game, so he opted to be dealer. What card did zero receive? A 4 of spades. Zero had gone over 21, going bust. Though a tad miffed, zero accepts defeat surprisingly well, with spring man and shadow giving a round of applause. Rodin shakes Waluigi’s hand and hands him the letter. Waluigi shakes the hand of shadow, spring man and zero, before flashing the invite letter to the screen. Waluigi stands up triumphantly as the splash card appears over his other hand. *WALUIGI HITS THE JACKPOT!*
I think all Smash trailers dedicate to character origins. So since Rosalina and Isabelle had very proper trailers about their origin, I think Waluigi['s would just be fine like them. Besides you kinda refute yourself, what about all other assists? Waluigi was never the candidate among all characters or at least the assists. I mean Waluigi can be a future fighter but it doesn't really have any to do with being an assist before. All asssists have their fans after all.
@@Doracakefocus on the actual scene before making assumptions. The focus of the scene is the poker game between Waluigi, zero, spring man and shadow. I was using the casino as the backdrop for the poker game since Waluigi’s main track in Mario kart (a literal pinball machine) would likely be found in a casino. And Waluigi is the most requested assist trophy BY FAR.
@@venomgaming7014 My point is if other past assist trohpy characters become fighters but their trailers didn't mention that, they'd be fine with that way. Besides in NIntendo's view they wouldn't know they would try to use this idea on Waluigi, they may also use it on Barbara or Jirachi if they really want to do so. I think the logical problem here is being assist trophy before ISN'T part of the character's canonical histroy from original games, since Smash is usually considered non-canonical.
@Dark Stuff No references from the games he appeared in? Air Swimming Up-B? That move is literally just begging to be an Up Special. Tennis Racket F-Smash that can reflect? Referencing his character debut. Wall-uigi as a long range grab? Mario Strikers reference which also solidifies the fact that he's a waterbender. The throws he mentioned also has a Mario Golf reference. There's also the DDR:MM Down Smash, a reflector Back Air. Also, he was always known to use the tools to their fullest but at the same time questionable extent in every game he participated in which makes Side B and Down B actually genius. As for the gimmick it actually makes a ton of sense because in the Mario Tennis games he's referred to as a defensive character because of his long stature and can keep up with almost any character and continue the rally. And with said gimmick he is able to keep up with his opponent and think ahead to gain an advantage, this balances out his fairly bad frame data. Sure, there are changes that can be made for his moveset like the moving the Slide Tackle to a Dash attack, Use another bludgeon for his Side B something like an Item Box which has various behaviors like destroying 1/4 of a shield when an item is a green shell, 2/4 of a shield when it's a red shell and a full shield when it's a Bob-omb, items like a beam sword, Fire Flower could also fly out of the item box after it hits an opponent, but all in all it's definitely the closest thing to a moveset made by Sakurai. It doesn't really have any meme references, that's just how Waluigi is.
@Dark Stuff The Down B isn't really that incohesive when you take into account his fairly slow but long reaching moves Hamm gave him and can allow you to cover opponent's options better on the ledge. Is it feasible? I don't really know, but we got Minecraft Steve that has 3 moves mapped into one button and Bowser Jr. also has a similar Down B to begin with. Also, I disagree with you saying he was just going with it when an archetype is actually present, cunning yet capable. Although Neutral B could work like Deep Breathing, providing a slight buff when you finish a 60-80 frame animation. In all honesty though, seeing all these Waluigi movesets that are vastly different from each other may it be for better or for worse, it kinda goes to show how capable the man really is and how he can delve into almost any archetype kinda like Wolf but with a lot more flair and a bit less substance. It's probably just because you saw something in this moveset that I haven't and vice versa with the Max Hamm one. I don't really have a problem with this moveset and you make good points about the Neutral B's baffling purpose but hey we're talking about the man who put a mustache in an eggplant and built a Kart with his own two hands using stolen airplane parts if I remember correctly.
@Dark Stuff That's probably why he labeled it as cursed, still did a great job though. Being perfectly honest though, I don't think Sakurai's moveset would look similar to this, it's just up for interpretation for the moveset maker and I do believe Sakurai will do things differently, if he makes one for him anyways. It was a nice discussion.
@@ffiiggyy We should use put in Nintendo's view: they wouldn't know to pick Waluigi specifically if they get to create an original moveset for any single character. They may also just go for someone else like Plant Piranha, but that wouldn't be good news for fans who just want Waluigi. Even for general Mario spinoffs he is in, all the subjects he was in also had Mario, Birdo, Bowser and other main cast who'd be as competent as him in the end. So that wouldn't ensure Waluigi to be the only candidate for Mario rep. Ultimately what Waluigi needs is a special role in a new game with very unique moves, in order to garuntee a special moveset for him to apply for next Smash.
this is amazing! i love this series, the quality of ur work is much better than those quick slapped-together lazy cookie cutter basic movesets that everyone seems to make. ur ideas could def work in smash actually. but my favorite series of urs has to be the custom moves series. i'd love to see more videos in that vein!
i would do the following for his grab, smashes, specials, back air & final smash grab - vine whip [from Mario Strikers Charged] side smash - baseball [he swings a baseball bat, and a small projectile is also launched] down smash - golf [he swings a golf club, and a small projectile is also launched] up smash - tennis [he does a tennis serve, and a small projectile is also launched] neutral special - item box [pulls a item box & throws it on the ground, the same wheel as in MK shows above his head (not the icon), and he gets an item that is in *both* games] side special - dice block [he throws an Party dice block, and the number gives a random effect (think G&W's Judge on a distance)] up special - air swimming [he swims in the air, a stamina heart shows up next to him, showing how many times you can tap the button] down special - ground stomp [from his assist trophy days] back air - Γ pose [he strikes a Γ pose in the air] final smash - destruction dance [he does his dance from Mario Mix, and fire balls are being lauched from behind him & a few bob-ombs rain from the sky]
I don't want Waluigi in Smash for the memes, I want him in because I genuinely enjoy him as a character; he's always fun to see in the spin-off games, and he has so much personality in comparison to Mario
Heh. Great design.:D There's so many different concepts I've seen for Waluigi. This is debateably tied for first with another I saw. The other I saw focused more on the idea of him being a joke character that focused on a certain aspect of his personality: Waluigi cheats. So, the concept had him basically pull a deadpool to battle for his abilities.
Making a special that is designated to bringing in items for personal gain to cheat the system is genius and would be a crime if it was not implemented in a character in future games.
THANK YOU. Everywhere I go that talks about Waluigi decides to be annoying about how he is definitely going to make it into Ultimate despite the fact that Assist Trophies are designed the way are because they are not going to be playable that game. You on the other hand actually say that it's about what might happen eventually, not what might happen now.
Uh, I'm sure there are tons of assist characters to compete for next Smash. The only argument is that NIntendo should have other characters be assist trohpy for this time, but that doesn't mean the fighter roster has infinite chance for all past assist characters to become fighters immediately. I mean Waluigi is at least an assist, you don't see that Dixie and Mona cannot even appear as assist or anything else?
The great part about WALUIGI's movesets is that it basicly is the gameplay of mariokart and mario golf/tenis as an extent, relying on being familiar with your obstacle in order to suceed
Personnaly, I may never have been an avid Waluigi supporter, I still would like to see him be playable someday, I just thought that maybe other mario characters should have got their chance before him, we kind of did, to a point where the idea of him becoming playable seems closer and closer. However, I think it would only happen in a another Smash game (if we ever got one) it seems to me that if a character is an assist trophy in a game, he just can't be promoted in the same game (furthermore, I'm favorable to him but there is also other assist trophies that feel would be even more interessting to promote I would be kind of bitter toward that). As for movesets, for a while Pizzadudemanguy's (allias Issac) was my favourite because as he said, Waluigi could have a moveset based upon references to the Mario Spin Offs but that makes people argue that he hassn't much to offer since you could do the same for every other Mario character. And as such, his approach of making his moveset based mainly on Tennis was unique and quite fun. As for yours, I was intrigued when I saw the thumbnail to know your take on the Man behind the memes, while I like your content a lot, your one of my 4 favourite moveset makers of youtube along with Brawlfan1, Pizzadudemanguy or Feliciafan,(special mention to the rest Ready Moveset Go team too) but you sometime hit the mark in a such a way that your moveset tends to be truer to smash style and you are more constant about it compared to some of the others where they can go overboard (see Brawlfan1's Paper Mario Moveset for reference). And once again, You hit that special mark. It just feels like a perfect balance of Mario game references and rules bending that feels just right and works better than just have him use spin off props or bend the rule so much that it's 4th wall breaking. Well done once agin !
Honestly Shadow the Hedgehog has a much better moveset potential over Waluigi. Not to mention that Shadow is much more important than Waluigi in the role of his franchise. The ULTIMATE LIFEFORM should be the one to break "fan rule" of Assist Trophy being upgraded in the same game.
This is old say: if NIntendo knew Waluigi is a fighter, they should just make him a fighter and then introduce a brand new assist trohpy in the start. We shouldn't expect them to pay effort to alter the game afterward. The point is there are tons of assist characters and pokeballs. NIntendo don't have the effort to make all of them fighters, if so we would had got thirty more fighters in this game and that's very unrealistic thinking.
I think it'd be more fun if his item box gave you a single use of another character's item as an emphasis on Waluigi being a trickster. Items could be like K. Rool's crown, R.O.B's Gyro, Bowser Jr's Mechakoopa, hell let him just throw out Wario's bike for a laugh. All these items will disappear once they hit the ground to save on like the stage getting filled with Wario bikes or any confusion on which crown is the real crown for K. Rool
This is better than my attempt at Waluigi, which made him a "half-clone" of Wario. Most notably, his up special was like Luigi's, in that it went straight up and hardly did anything to opponents unless he got the sweetspot. ^^; For down special, I opted to use a Dice Block instead.
I love all the Mario spin-off reps in him and that'd be my main reason for me to be for his inclusion. His ? space event sounds a bit *TOO* crazy but I would love that so hard!! Great concept as always and great video overall!
Honestly I feel like Waluigi is a character that probably revels in the memes because they give him exactly what he wants: attention At his core, Waluigi is a weird and pathetic show boater who thinks he's better than everyone, but fate always has other plans for him. So while I get why you'd wanna separate him from the memes, I feel like anything that gives him even a remote amount of attention should also be glorified as an element of his character.
That down b ‘Happening’ would probably ‘not be happening’. Looking at what sakurai had to do to the stages so Steve could work he probably wouldent do it again. Im a big fan of your creative moveset tho and I respect you put the time and effort in it to make it up.
So glad this video got posted when it did. I wasn't feeling too great in terms of mood but seeing this video has me feeling better. Thanks Del. Also a fantastic moveset. One thing I find interesting about that Down Special is that, given it's changing of stages, Waluigi would be like Steve in a way. The dev team having to update and account for all of the stages to work with the characters kit. Speaking of that down special, do the positive buffs and negative debuffs happen for the character that triggered the space? Or are the buffs only for Waluigi and the debuffs only for his opponents? Seems like the former but I just want to make sure.
To be honest is downthrow and sites mesh are probably going to be his moves as an assist trophy pounding you into the ground with his foot bearing you then tennis racket

Same, the weirdest one I've seen is him using time manipulation and knives, for some reason.

I like this moveset, but the one done by Max Hamm will always be my favorite Waluigi moveset imo
@@peacorptv6502 that could be bizarre reference, but I can't place my finger on what.
I honestly like Waluigi exactly because he's so underapreciated by Nintendo and would love to see him get a deserved spotlight in smash at least
Nintendo didn't make him.
@@INFERNO95 Doesn't mean people can't like him or ask for him to get recognition. Plus, since Nintendo has featured Waluigi in many games developed by him, I'd argue they own the rights to Waluigi.
people say this and he appears in every spinoff game, like??
These are all the basic ideas behind other Smash RUclipsrs that I’ve seen before this one:
Brawlfan1: mostly references to the Mario spinoffs and was also based off a moveset concept he made for Daisy before she became playable
DukeofDorks: the Deadpool of Smash
Max Hamm: Smash moveset gone completely insane/someone might have been on drugs while making this
And now this one which shares some similarities to all 3 honestly. Well done.
There's a guy on Smashfaqs who made a moveset for him built around time manipulation and knives...
...Yeah, I really don't know why.
@@peacorptv6502 WAIWAIWAIWAI- HOLDONHOLDONHOLDON! WAS- WAS THAT A J- *WAS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!*
I think the problem is in NIntendo and Director Sakurai's view, if they can just create random or original moveset, they can do this for any character especially the one they like, so we wouldn't know who'd win this. Like Plant Piranha is literally just like what you mean and it wins, so clearly this idea doesn't help Waluigi only
The point is Waluigi had to compete against many characters who have participated in other major games with completed moveset concept.
This could work. Have a move set with tennis racket, soccer ball, kart finisher, Mario party powers, etc.

While Waluigi Hasn't made an appearance in the main series games, he certainly exists. He has been referenced to. For example, Mario can wear his outfit in Super Mario Odyssey.
Finally someone else thinks Waluigi should have an item box attack
This is the best move set I’ve seen for waluigi. Love the item box.
I was somewhat expecting his Final Smash to be related to pinball, but I think the one you came up with is hilarious
This is probably my favorite move set for Waluigi
I love waluigi! He needs to come to smash
What about 3D World?
Waluigi is more than just a meme and I always get shit on for saying I actually want him in. People tell me there is no reason for him to be in Or doesn’t represent anything. But I always saw it as he represented the losers, the underdogs, the kid who was always picked last for the team. And although it seems strange for me to say this (or not) I used video games to escape the harshness of the real world (not gonna get into that I’m cool now) and yet Waluigi and his silly attire and attributes were always there to make me happy. And yet here I am a 21 year old guy rambling about Waluigi
Did you just reference Isabelles letter to Waluigi

I sure hope you've got a future in game making with all of these ideas!
I've unironically wanted Waluigi for years and this is probably my favorite take on what he could bring to Smash.
Best Waluigi moveset I’ve seen. Others take way too much liberty with how movesets typically work.
Ah yes, it is time.
*Waluigi Time.*
Waluigi can’t be in smash without an alternate costume that matches Luigi’s exactly
I really like this moveset! Hopefully in the next game we get something like this!
my idea for his trailer, they show the Smash logo, per usual, show one of the older Shash character trailers, but slowly zooms out, and you see it's playing on a TV, then you see 9 monitors, and as it zooms out, shows a wall of TVs, each screen playing a trailer from a Smash game. and pans to the side to see a huge easy chair facing the TVs, but has a high back, and all you see is a hand resting on the arm of the chair, just tapping the fingers idlely as they watch silently....then pulls out a remote, and presses the button, and as all the TVs change channels, one by one, you hear a familiar laugh, as when the TVs change channel, You see a giant Waluigi logo from his hat appear on the wall of TVs.
@@venomgaming7014
My point is if other past assist trohpy characters become fighters but their trailers didn't mention that, they'd be fine with that way.
YO HE'S FAUST? LETS GO!
Unexpected comparison, but makes a surprising amount of sense
I like this idea
Other ideas with him cheating had an almost completely unique move set that has no references
So I think ya did good
Max Hamm's is pretty good too.
@@ffiiggyy
We should use put in Nintendo's view: they wouldn't know to pick Waluigi specifically if they get to create an original moveset for any single character.
Ultimately what Waluigi needs is a special role in a new game with very unique moves, in order to garuntee a special moveset for him to apply for next Smash.
this is amazing! i love this series, the quality of ur work is much better than those quick slapped-together lazy cookie cutter basic movesets that everyone seems to make. ur ideas could def work in smash actually. but my favorite series of urs has to be the custom moves series. i'd love to see more videos in that vein!

i would do the following for his grab, smashes, specials, back air & final smash

side smash - baseball [he swings a baseball bat, and a small projectile is also launched]
down smash - golf [he swings a golf club, and a small projectile is also launched]
up smash - tennis [he does a tennis serve, and a small projectile is also launched]
neutral special - item box [pulls a item box & throws it on the ground, the same wheel as in MK shows above his head (not the icon), and he gets an item that is in *both* games]
side special - dice block [he throws an Party dice block, and the number gives a random effect (think G&W's Judge on a distance)]
up special - air swimming [he swims in the air, a stamina heart shows up next to him, showing how many times you can tap the button]
down special - ground stomp [from his assist trophy days]
back air - Γ pose [he strikes a Γ pose in the air]
final smash - destruction dance [he does his dance from Mario Mix, and fire balls are being lauched from behind him & a few bob-ombs rain from the sky]

Surprised to see a lack of thorny purple vines in this moveset
Brawl-/P+ and SSF2 both have really good movesets for him that I think would have been perfect and I also really like the concept that's here as well.

I really like this concept, particularly item box, but I do wonder if happening space is a bit difficult to implement

Great move set
Rool
Please put waluigi in smash!
Technically Waluigi did make a short cameo in WarioWare but it doesn’t really count
Wait, for real? Which game?
The very end is edited to have an image of sad Waluigi fade in, But otherwise I’m pretty sure it’s legit
I've always wanted Waluigi ever since Brawl and not for the memes, I genuinely like the character. Let's hope for the next game.
For the up tilt you missed a good opportunity to show him hitting the dice block in Mario party. That’s how I imagine his uptilt
Waluigi's soccer uniform from MARIO STRIKERS; as for the taunt, his STRIKERS taunt could be useful...if it doesn't change SSBU's ESRB rating.
Pretty cool but the down b seemed insanely technical to add into a game. Sweet idea and always love the effort put into these
This is better than my attempt at Waluigi, which made him a "half-clone" of Wario.
Most notably, his up special was like Luigi's, in that it went straight up and hardly did anything to opponents unless he got the sweetspot. ^^; For down special, I opted to use a Dice Block instead.
Wario's moveset is about his own series, tho. If we want Waluigi to use references from Wario games, he has to also appear in those games.
I would think that Waluigi's up special would be springy shoes, like from the April Fool's joke that said that Waluigi was in Super Mario 64 DS.
I love all the Mario spin-off reps in him and that'd be my main reason for me to be for his inclusion. His ? space event sounds a bit *TOO* crazy but I would love that so hard!! Great concept as always and great video overall!
Honestly I feel like Waluigi is a character that probably revels in the memes because they give him exactly what he wants: attention
At his core, Waluigi is a weird and pathetic show boater who thinks he's better than everyone, but fate always has other plans for him. So while I get why you'd wanna separate him from the memes, I feel like anything that gives him even a remote amount of attention should also be glorified as an element of his character.
Waluigi should be the new meme man. Change my mind
That down b ‘Happening’ would probably ‘not be happening’. Looking at what sakurai had to do to the stages so Steve could work he probably wouldent do it again. Im a big fan of your creative moveset tho and I respect you put the time and effort in it to make it up.
You made Waluigi a smash version of Dr.Faust...And that is so feating😍
But ypu could had including some reference to Mario Strikers, like it's torn whip.
Piranha plant + assist Trophy
Waluigi + Fighter
