- Most patients who have gum disease and get a Deep Cleaning, Scaling and Root Planing or as we call it Gum Infection Therapy, don't get the knowledge they need to succeed with the treatment. This video is what we show all patients who are going through Gum Infection Therapy at my office so that they can be successful.

That is a really excellent explanation and advice. I am 76 and have severe gum diseases and loss of teeth. I wish I would have had this advice a long time age. I wish you were here in Mandeville. Thanks
Thank you sir.
Me too
Thank you Dr. Hulse for explaining how all this works!!! So easy to forget the details too!!! Even the things we get wrong, you made it easy. I had everything backwards. It's not what is logical, it is what works :) 🙏❤️
You’re welcome!
Thank you Dr Hulse gor explaining that!!!
My pleasure!
Hello please can you write down the last drug name I have suffered cum infection for do many years been to the dentist but it doesn't seem to be helping
God almighty, thank you so much! ❤ I wish I lived where you live. 😢
Thank You for sharing this information. It helped me a lot.
You’re welcome
VERY good explanation of follow-up care. Tfs!
You’re welcome
Do you recommend using diluted hydrogen peroxide and or .iodine mixed with water & mouthwash to be used with the hydro wash ?
Thankyou
Thank you for this video is very informative and well explained. 👏
Best I've ever heard! What a great community service...
You're right, regular dentists really need to step up...QUESTION: What do you think about LASER treatments to kill the germs and rebuild lost bone?
There are some great Laser treatments and protocols for advanced gum disease treatment. LANAP works great, but takes a lot of time and costs a lot of money. But if you have severe periodontist then it’s worth it. More commonly though hygienists will use it as part of a “deep cleaning” . How effective this is, is controversial. My belief if it probably has some small benefits on top of traditional scaling/deep cleaning. BUT part of the controversy is that it’s an add on service the corporate dentistry pushes because they are tied to discounted in network fees. So to try and make more money and not actually lose money cleaning peoples teeth at these ridiculous low reimbursement fees they try to push this debatably effective low level laser technique.
❤️❤️❤️
Giving thanks to DR UROKO is something I will always take personal because he brought me back to my full health🍀
I wish I could come to you for my dental work
Me toooo! My dentist didn't even tell me I had an issue with my gums 🤬
Thank you
Oh my Lord. THAT should be the standard ! What's the rest of us paying for??
I have calcium deposits and brown spots on my gums and the dentist told me it was normal! I need a better dentist but I'm poor. I also have a bone fragment in my jaw now.
Thank you for this very valuable information. Where are you located? If not NYC Do you have any reputable Dentists, Perodontists , Oral surgeons you can recommend in NYC?
I used to practice in NYC. But that was a dozen years ago. Artie Volker in Queens and Mitch sabbagh in Manhattan are both very good
After teeth are removed will the bacteria stay in the gums? How is it cleaned out.
Good question. Actually when all the teeth are removed, the most of the gum disease bacteria will go away, and since there are no roots to the teeth, there won't be as easy a way for the remaining bacteria to access the blood stream. Sometimes it gets to a point where removing all the teeth is the healthiest thing to do
i will ask about Periostat in my next appointment.
It’s been around for decades. It definitely helps. Though not used as often. Not sure why
Hello Doc, my son is under 2years and suffering from gum disease. Can l give him Periostat .....?
It would be highly unusual for a child that young to be suffering from gum disease and inappropriate for me to comment without seeing him. I recommend you see a pedodontist (child dentist) right away.
Does eating yogurt with its bacteria cause inflammation of gums. I have 4 quarts and now have trouble!
No. Not unless you have some odd allergic reaction
I swear every dentist says something different
If I missed it where are u located, & do you have location n other states??
I’m in Austin Texas
Doc, l need ur help my son is suffering..
Sorry, just saw this. Hopefully you brought him to a dentist
It can be cure
Lot of hassel
Sure is. Not as much as not having teeth and a host of other health issues associated with gum disease
Why dont dentists tell people this stuff! Makes me so mad.
I agree, so ridiculous! They're either lazy, don't care or want to make the office more money! They shouldn't be a Dentist if either 3 are the case!!
I’ve questioned this myself. I think part of it is people get upset when they need more then their regular “free” cleaning. If you read bad dentist reviews online probably 20% of them are patients complaining about how dentists are trying to steal from them because they told them they need a “deep cleaning” and “my insurance” said my cleanings were free. Also 90% of the population doesn’t floss regularly and do it correctly. If they just did that most of all the stuff i mentioned in the video would be unnecessary.
😂😂
Floss is not good for you
😂
@@austinartisticdental2400I would never book with a dentist / dr who laughs at comments . That person is right- flossing is not good when you have gum disease because it pushes bacteria up into the pockets .
