    I'll never understand why something so important in everyone's lives is so expensive that most people can't even afford to have any worrk done!!!! It's very sad because a persons teeth play such a big role in everything we have to do on a daily basis but it's so expensive & if you don't have the money then oh well you're just screwed....

    My hygienist tried to get me to do the tray , which she said would heal the gums, and I was going to . The price was nearly one thousand dollars. I had just gone into debt for 2 crowns. No way I could afford another thousand dollars. So of course I couldn’t do it. Why would a simple little tray made from a mold , be that expensive❓

      Its a scam and a ripoff tactic. Brush your teeth before going to bed and don't eat or drink nothing afterwards. At night is the most important part to brush your teeth and rinse with an oral hygiene (Original Listerine would do, nothing fancy). You can get a Waterpick for deeper pockets and a sonic toothbrush, I would spend my money on these. Buy a Fluoride toothpaste (even tho others say no) and all this with a healthy eating...not too much sugar or junk foods. It will help your teeth, gums, mouth-breath, your gut bacteria, etc. The Dental Profession has joined the SCAMMERS profession and a lot of these dental doctors are just selling snake oil profiting thousands. Its sad, very sad that they are practicing unethical !!!
      They say "oh your insurance will cover half this or that"...BS in the end the math doesn't lie. We all pay for it, and we pay a premium insurance every month, plus a deductible, plus whatever is left on our patient responsibility side, plus taxes, etc...its difficult to find TRUE honest dentist out there same goes for doctors giving pills to everyone like we are hooked on candy. Sad the way money and greed have poison peoples souls!! So, I asked an ex-dentist time "You became a dentist for passion or for money?"...the answer=$$$$$

    Is this the same as a night guard? My dentist is recommending a night guard but I don't believe I need it I never had a problem with grinding my teeth. The night guard is $600. $300 for the upper guard and $300 for the bottom but if the night guard helps prevents gum disease by placing some medication in it while wearing it at night then I would consider spending the money for it.

      @or6144 7 месяцев назад +1

      I use a night guard but the dentist only recommended for my upper. Makes sense if your grinding like in my case the bottom part will just grind on the guard so why spend for two guards. If your not grinding but I'd get one still as a preventive especially when your getting older just do one part. There are over the counter night guards but ofcourse you'll behave to find the size that's a good fit for you.
