Move king over 2 and place the rook on the other side. Special things with pawns. The moving two and a thing called en passé(in passing): For a pawns first move it can move up 2 spaces rather than a normal 1. If another pawn is threatening(can attack into) the space the pawn double moving passes through it can take it as if it had only moved 1 space and was still in that space it moved through.

The one on the right was the better hustler. Too many cues from the left guy: fast physical movement of pieces, double tapping timer, and asking about castling when he barely knew pawn movement restrictions (albeit the one on right messed up by correcting him).
I also thought the piece placement was too deliberate - beginners will slide them along instead of smacking them down. But super fun to watch even though I'm no good at chess.

Life is chess, so youve played without knowing. Pawns move 1 spot. Bishops go diagonal. Queen can move any direction as much as she wants except in a L. King makes 1 move only. Knights go in a L shape. Castles can only move vertically or horizontally. Once a pawn gets to the otherside of the board you can get a oiece back that you lost. It takes the pawns place.

It's the first thing I learned when I started taking chess classes. You don't need to be a master to know that.
Being skilled at something often means you forget what it was like before you were skilled.

The one on the right was the better hustler. Too many cues from the left guy: fast physical movement of pieces, double tapping timer, and asking about castling when he barely knew pawn movement restrictions (albeit the one on right messed up by correcting him).
