@@pt-7890yeh I’ve seen this sort of comment about Zim a lot. People are remembering things through rose tinted lenses I think. They were obviously much better than they are now, but they were always minnows.

They beat India in ODI series ans PAk in test series.
They beat NZ in NZ and reach VB series and Natwest series finals.
Also their matches against AUs were close and not like now were they are dominated...
@@imanand11 if Zimbabwe were not minnows, there’s no such thing as a minnow. The fact you can mention them once besting India in a test series and pak in an odi series is proof of that.

I really like this era cricket matches I am 11 years in this area is my favourite era I like it all 2000 matches
31-4 off 16. 89-4 off 35. 169-7 off 50. You have to go back 20+ years to see a score like that in an ODI! The kind of game Jim Laker would say "Zimbabwe fairly rattling along in the last 15 overs". England in reply 31-2 off 11, ah the good old days of one day test matches (before Bazzball of course!).
Not against t20 cricket but the international cricket should have stayed like the old days. Just test and one dayers.

Thanx to political intervention Zimbabwe cricket team has been reduced to a minnow from a strong cricket.It's 100% the fault of Late Robert Mugabe (died on 2018) the former dictator President of Zimbabwe whose 'Mogambo Raj' brought chaos, curroption, racism and hyperinflation to the African country.When President Mugabe started intervening in the functioning of Zimbabwe cricket team he brought in divisions between cricketers on basis of age and skin color which led to premature retirements of their cricket legends.The real nail in coffin was hammered for Zimbabwe cricket team with the announcement of Tatenda Taibu as their captain (in less than 6 months after 2003 ODI World Cup) under whose leadership Zimbabwe started loosing bilateral series in all formats of cricket.Sadly Zimbabwe cricket team hardly qualifies for T20 or ODI World Cup nowadays.
