Zimbabwe were great to watch in the early to mid 2000s. They may not have that much but they were competitive in most matches even against the mighty Australian team that was annihilating everyone at the time. The Flower brothers were 2 of my favourite players in that team
The sanctions crippled the whole country
There were few teams by that time..
Late 90’s they were at their best… in the 2000’s the problems began.
So sad to see Zimbabwe cricket in such a situation....they were such a force in the 90s and early2000s....I was a little kid back them but was so used to hear about Grant and Andy Flower from my father....AAH...past always feels so magical...I remember Aussies thrashing us in the 2003 WC final...Felt so helpless but so crazy about cricket....Yesterday we won the T20 final but now I dont feel that strongly about cricket as I used to...honestly speaking, cricket has lost its charm for me....Hope to see the old cricketing nations rise again strongly....Hope to see the rise of test cricket.....

What's more heart breaking to see is that the ipl franchises are not even looking at Zimbabwe players.
