I think you should have a contest "Hang out with Ben for a day." It would be by entry, winner chosen at random. And you put the winner through the paces of a typical day in the life of Ben. Like during hay season. Just throwing it out there.
Hey I’d welcome that without a contest! It would be fun and I think people would enjoy it during hay season. Lots of stuff goes on that no one ever gets to see on video. Appreciate you thinking enough of me to even mention wanting to spend a day with us. Take care and thanks for watching!
I know we all get used to our stomping grounds but you get to work in some really beautiful spots! All those flat land people probably get jealous of our grassy cliffs lol.
Hi Ben! Lots of Water Moccasins where I grew up. Hate the things man. Here where I live now there are nothing but small Garters. I usually scare up 2 or 3 while brush hogging. Love watching that old 245. Funny thing about that tractor is that it looks small until you get up on it. Have a great day and thanks for sharing!
Our main snakes are black snakes and copper heads. This 245 is an orchard model which makes it low profile giving a smaller appearance. Thanks for watching!
It’s funny to me to think when my grandpa traded a Oliver super 55 for a new Massey 245 diesel in 84 and it was one of the main tractors next to my dads 165 the 245 had a liquid fertilizer tank mounted on the front and a bigger alternator to run a four row 3 point planter and now it is use what a utility tractor is intended to be used for
Cannot beat a Perkins!! Thanks for the video! I absolutely love bush hogging with my 240! (Just a little flatter ground down here in NW Ga😁). Take care buddy!
How's she goin'? Nice to see the Massey out doing what it's good at, working!!! LOL Tell me Ben, any special reason you just didn't mow right over that snake? I do not like snakes and I sure wouldn't mind one less snake in this world!!! LOL Take care!!!
The black snakes aren’t dangerous and they are great at catching mice, also I’ve always heard that they keep away Copper Heads. I try not to kill them if I can help it. I’d put this Massey up against a new one any day! Really appreciate you watching!
@@khtractors Thanks for the explanation about the snake. I was playing golf in Georgia one time and there was a big black snake on the cart path sunning itself. The guy I was playing with, he was from Georgia, stopped the cart and jumped off and chased the snake. He wanted to catch it. I was some happy he didn't. He wanted me to see the snake as he knew I didn't like them. I was so upset with him so I beat him at golf!!! LOL
The hill in front of my house I can only mow going downhill it's so steep my rear comes out of the seat a little and the mower shuts off lol I tried to get the wife to see in some velcro to the hind end of my coveralls she just laughed at me until she watched me dive over the side and of course there's always someone coming down the dang road you'd think they would stop to let me get to the bottom heck no I gotta stop on the side of the hill people are always in a dang hurry.
I remember once when Ben was a young kid riding with his Uncle Ray that they found a nest of yellow jackets and his whole head was cover with the bees. I think it may have been on the same tractor.
What size tires do you have on the 245? I've got one just like it, but it has 18.4-16.1 turf tires. It is just about worthless like that, and I'd like to set it up like yours! Thanks!
There is flat land around here! But you have to drive 50 miles to the west to find it. Wow, that looks pretty steep! Were these once hay fields? Or too steep for haying. Great video
Thanks for the video 👍
Thank you for watching it! Take care!
great video
Thank you!
Love the Massey. Reminds me of my late dad and him brush hogging. Thank you for the content.
This comment made the video worth making! Glad it brought back memories to you! Appreciate you watching!
Nice job, looking good.
Appreciate that buddy! Have you got your tractor back yet?
Yes and it’s running great. New video on Sunday. Thanks for asking.
Love that Massey and love SWVa!
Thank you! I’m quite fond of them both as well! Have a good one!
I never get to do anything like that on the hills! And I never see a snake like that! Holy smokes! Nice video Ben!
You’ll just have to come visit and I’ll put on a few hills 😂! We will avoid the snakes though if possible! Take care and thanks for watching!
Nice job Ben
Thank you!
You handle the slopes like a champ!!
I’ve been working that field for years, I’ve baled it a few times in the past. Thanks for watching!
Good morning Ben, another great video 👍, really enjoyed it.I never get tired of watching you bush hog.Have a blessed day and stay Safe my friend.🚜💯👏
Great! I’ve got two more bush hogging videos then it’s over for the season unless something comes up. Take care and thanks for watching!

Our scenery changes just every few miles and that’s what I like! Appreciate you watching!

When we are up in the mountains I always say “man I would hate to have to mow those hills
It’s actually fun I think for the most part! It’s that first time on a steep place that is stressful. Appreciate you watching!

Appreciate you sharing your story on the Massey! I enjoy these things. Take care!

Yes I agree! Perkins is number 1! Appreciate you watching!
Good video. I’m sure the camera doesn’t do justice to how steep it really is.
No it really doesn’t. Thanks for watching!

😂😂 Hey that’s still better then using a weed-eater! Be careful and thanks for watching!
Another steep one Ben, the Massey is perfect for it 👍🏻. Is that snake poisonous?, it was big 😳. Have a great day Ben 🙂🙋🏼♂️👍🏻
No that was just a black snake, they are great for getting rid of mice! It was a good size one. Thanks for watching!
@@khtractors They steal chicken eggs too!!
Do any yellow jackets ever find you?
They haven’t in a while, I’ve been lucky! Appreciate you watching!

@@bennykennedy1786 yep tedding hay. Got stung 4 times, I was about 8 years old.
Bad things sometime happen but found memories.
@@curtisgarner2144 I wouldn’t go back and change that day for anything!

Mine has 14.9-24 rear tires. The standard 245’s had 13.6-28. Yeah turf tires on one of these wouldn’t be much. Appreciate you watching!
@@khtractors Thanks!

I’ve cut them for hay a few times but it’s really not worth doing vs getting paid to bushhog it. Appreciate you watching!
No flat land where you and I live that can afford
Same here
Flat land exists but me and you ain't next to any
Yes I think your right! Thanks for watching!
