Great videos, just want to pick your brain as recently bought a ted 20 fergy with no log book, found engine number and serial number on the steering collum and also numbers at the side of the seat spring but some one was telling me there is also numbers under the front axle. Much appreciated. Love the no nonsense guide and info, Bob from republic of Ireland.

G Day Bob, There is a date code on the rh side of the gear box near where your rh ankle would be and another sort of behind the generator bracket. The serial number gets you very close when dating the tractor.

G’day mate I’m still a bit confused with how that works after watching that, but it was interesting, with the shed creeking do people ask you what the noise is because we know it’s the sun it does it on mine. Anyway she’s coming along and this restoration is like I have already said very. Interesting to watch, the sound and filming is good Lance and so is the light good on ya mate nice to see you again regards John👍😎🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

G Day John, Yeah I get a few comments about the noise but not much I can do apart from do the videos at night and I like to sit and have a rum or wine then, lol.

12:00 that's a nice technique for fitting the roller and ensuring it doesn't get dropped into the compartment.

It is annoying when you drop it and I could bet it would happen every time.

Hi Lance, great work, did you do a video of you putting the Lift Cover back together? Looks the same as my 165 non multi power, but i dont have the confidence to say its put back together right as the levers on the quadrant feel really stiff. Any advice would be great.

G Day Mat, No I havn't done a video on that as I just swapped the cover over from another tractor. No doubt I will one day though.

    Hi Lance,
I notice you have cleaned up the gearbox case. Did you do that with the new sand blasting cabinet from Hare and Forbes or the old one. That you did not like. How is the new cabinet going?

I did it with degreaser and wire cup wheel on a 4" angle grinder. The big white blast cabinet is the best.

Hiya Lance, great video has maybe given me an insight into my problem on my 135. My response has always been very slow unless i move the draft and control levers both to down at the same time which is a pain. It not much use for ploughing just now as the reponse lever doesnt change the lowering speed. I notice your respose plunger has a 'spring' to it when you push it down, where mine does not. it there a spring in there? Any suggestions what it could be? Thanks from james, Scotland.

what are the lift adjustments to carry out. we did a hydraulic pump rebuild on our Mark II MF 188. The pump lifts but the problem is when you have to lower the arms they are slow or not lowering at all. There seems to be a backlash too as you lift the vertical rockers that pushes the pump rocker seems to return backward down on its own.

I need to get the book out as I cant remember the adjustments as I dont do them often enough. You will need to read a manual.

Any tricks to putting the response lever back in other than lining up that rod? The hyd cover went on pretty easy....more so than I expected.
