Goose has a lot of Wolfhound personality traits-- the complete lack of interest in exerting any effort being the main one. Bouvier's can be pretty laid back as well so they got really lucky with this cross. Imagine a dog that size with full on Bouvier herding instincts clashing with prey drive the Wolfhound could have instilled.

He is absolutely beautiful!! I guessed his two breeds correctly. I myself had a female irish wolfhound mix from the time she was 8 weeks old till she passed away from old age. She was gigantic & she was a fabulous family dog. We loved her sooo much.

Guessed Wolfhound, but not Bouvier. He's lovely! I've had wonderful interactions with Wolfhounds on a few working historical farmsteads here in Ireland, they're the biggest sweethearts.

Bouvier's are amazing dogs. They have the most peaceful, gentle, wonderful personality... And they can be quite territorial. I had a rescue Bouvier, and he was truly my favorite breed... No other animal compares to their gentle, obedient, protective nature.
(And he could fit 3 tennis balls in his mouth... His jawline was gigantic... There's a reason he was a great guard dog... Nobody messed with "Bear". ).

The Bouvier part explains that already. And Bouviers are that way because the 2 main originator species of the Bouvier des Flandres are the Irish Wolfhound and Laekense Shepherd.
