You literally have changed my crochet life!! The turning granny square blanket was what I've tried to figure out for yrs! Now its perfect every time!. The rectangular one is also great and now this 5/2 is another gem! Thank you so much for sharing your time and patience with us!
I am in love with this pattern! Thank you for helping me make my first "straight and matching edges all around" afghan. I used self-striping and made a full-sized afghan. Like the border a lot too---thank you! I found it much easier than other C2C patterns I've tried.
I loved the cat cameo. My cat has to sniff EVERYTHING. Even if she’s sniffed it a hundred times before. So she absolutely sticks her face in whatever I’m doing like your cat did. 😂
I've always used the 5/2 method of c2c. I've also discovered that if you will ch 5, tr into last 3 ch, then turn, it seems to be a little easier. Give it a try and let me know what you think. Love your videos!
I am finally attempting my first C2C blanket. I have avoided making one until now, as it looked too involved. This video is very helpful. I feel I have a decent grip on it now. The one thing I noticed immediately was that there were gaps which I do not like. This video was exactly what I needed. I have tight tension when crocheting, and am a bit particular about gaps and the like. Thank you
Using this pattern for my first ever c2c blanket (im about half way through using james c brett swurlywurly in colouway carnival). You turtorials make my crochet life so much easier! Thank you!❤
To make holes smaller I use either a 3.5 or 3.75 hook & instead of dc I do hdc which is US terms. Just working on my first C2C now. It's so fun & goes quickly
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had been watching c2c videos and was not really liking the chain 3 holes. And I did not want a granny square look. But your 5/2 way of a c2c is really fantastic. I have working with some of my left over yarns to practice. So again Thank You for a wonderful tutorial.
Thanks Rebekah! This is really lovely and as always you make your tutorials so easy to follow and understand. I will definitely be giving this a try when I have finished my square Moss Stitch blanket. 😘
I've yet to make a C2C blanket-so thanks for "walking" us through the how-to!🤩 Your explanation and showing how really sunk in😁, and I didn't even feel that I needed to jot down the instructions. Will be making a similar to your rainbow striped for a nephew & his gf's baby 👶.
I've really struggled to understand other C2C videos and have frogged everything I've tried, but I was recommended the 5/2 method and this video in particular. Can't wait to get started! I'm determined to crack C2C! 😁 Subscribed! 👍
I tried this two years ago when I started. But not with you. Now the neighbour is having a boy so Im going to learn your way using beautiful Ice Cream yarn in Blues. Thankyou Bec, always 😍 👌
Hi Rebekah Oh this is so lovely and makes a super blanket. Thank you for the great tutorial as always. Take care and stay safe Hugs Amanda from Lincolnshire xxxx
This is beautiful! I've been crocheting on and off for over 40 years but only the really fine detail things like doilies. I have always hated blankets with lots of holes but this is awesome. I'm going to make a baby blanket for my daughter's friend using this. Thanks for giving me new inspiration for my crochet :D
Thank you! My absolute favourite border for a c2c is a Moss Stitch Border! You can find my tutorial for it here: ruclips.net/video/HhPRHKNymfU/видео.html
It's absolutely brilliant. I've always used the 6, 3 merhod, but I see what you mean with the 5, 2 method. What are the measurements of your beautiful blanket?
Hi. Before you start to decrease, what should be the "block count" for every row pls? I've made 4 C2C rectangles, 2 was perfect, 2 I did something wrong, can't figure out what or where, one row is longer than the other, both where I start to decrease. Thank you 😊
Hello. Thankyou for this tutorial. You've made it so clear to follow. I have a question please. If I do the decrease for rectangle shape does this mean I get a longer blanket before I start decreasing ( I've not gotten to decrease stage yet .) Hope this makes sense? Thanks in advance ☺
I am having trouble seeing the "big picture" for size. For a rectangle baby blanket, I am wondering about how many blocks you have in the row for width before you start the rectangle part of increasing the length.
This is great. I love doing C2C but mine always comes out sloppy with all the gaps between the blocks. Could never figure out how to eliminate that. I will now plan for my C2C project. Thank you so much
I was with you from the beginning. Then when you started The Binding off binding of just before you changed colors you went from the Lower Side to where they were all even and you didn't show how to get from the other side to that side

This makes so much sense, i only do a chain 2 for a granny stripe as i find 3 to much, so much neater. Thank you.
Absolutely - glad you like it too! 🥰

Thank you for teaching this. Ive never been a fan of blankets with big holes so this is great! This will be my next blanket. 💜🧶
You’re very welcome ☺️

This is awesome! Thank you so much for showing this stitch. I like the tighter stitching!
I love the 5,2 method!
So glad! 🥰🌸
Thank you for the clear & easy to understand instructions.
Thank you, I didn't know there was a 5/2 method. I told myself I should try a c2c this year. I will be trying this one.
Fantastic - let me know how it goes 🌸🥰
Thank you. I do c2c this way. I use half double crochet instead of double crochet.❤
I loved the cat cameo. My cat has to sniff EVERYTHING. Even if she’s sniffed it a hundred times before. So she absolutely sticks her face in whatever I’m doing like your cat did. 😂
I think it's because she loves you. The scent of your skin is comforting to her. Big compliment 😊.
Those COLORS!!!! 😍 That's gorgeous!! I'll have to give this a whirl, too. I like blankets without holes.
So detailed and I was able to make my first c2c🎉
I've watched other C2C videos and always seemed to have gotten lost. Thank you for a very clear explanation of this stitch!
I love the colours
Thank you ☺️

I will have to watch a bit later as I have a lot to do. But I appreciate you doing this; I think I'm going to love this method a lot more.

Very beautiful and colour full design
Thanks Rebekah! This is really lovely and as always you make your tutorials so easy to follow and understand. I will definitely be giving this a try when I have finished my square Moss Stitch blanket. 😘
I love this so much better. That is the next one I will do after I finish your ripple blanket. Thank you so much for showing this way of doing the c2c
Beautiful blanket

I love it too! 🌸

I am hoping to do your traditional baby blanket using the 5/2 C2C. I’m new to crocheting, do you have a tutorial for adding the DC border? Thank you.
Thanks
I love this method, too, and this video has made it so easy! What kind of border is best (easiest) with this?
Thank you! My absolute favourite border for a c2c is a Moss Stitch Border!
You can find my tutorial for it here: ruclips.net/video/HhPRHKNymfU/видео.html
@@BlossomCrochet thank you! I am almost done with my C2C (using this exact video!), and I will try this border when I’m finished!

lovely, will give this a go tonight 🤗
Love this stitch! I’ve not done this stitch before. Such pretty bright colors💛🧡also I love your black kitty🐈⬛ Life is better with cats😻

Thank you for video merry xmas
I love this. Thank you for sharing.
Realy helpful
Glad to hear that ♥️
Can I ask what is the boarder you have used on your C2C ? 🌸💖🌸
Nice! Would be great for cocoon sweaters too.
It's absolutely brilliant. I've always used the 6, 3 merhod, but I see what you mean with the 5, 2 method. What are the measurements of your beautiful blanket?

Thank you for this tutorial. Do you have any tips for keeping the little triangles facing the correct way?
How do you decrease without changing color? Do you still chain two and turn?
Do you have a written pattern for this? Thanks!
Hello. Thankyou for this tutorial. You've made it so clear to follow. I have a question please. If I do the decrease for rectangle shape does this mean I get a longer blanket before I start decreasing ( I've not gotten to decrease stage yet .) Hope this makes sense? Thanks in advance ☺

I love this pattern, I am finishing up my 6/3 c2c, and now want to start this next. Did you only use 1 skein of each color? Thanks so much
Does it matter what end you start to decrease?
This is great. I love doing C2C but mine always comes out sloppy with all the gaps between the blocks. Could never figure out how to eliminate that. I will now plan for my C2C project. Thank you so much
You’re very welcome ☺️
How many rows did you do for your blanket? Baby, child or adult size for the blanket?
I'm going to make this rainbow c2c blanket. How many rows of each color did you do?
Where do you buy your yarns
Beautiful blanket that so much for the video but it to Difficult for me. I know I'm going to mess up. And I crochet very well
I have a lot of them I even made a shaul
I love it! Did you change colors every row?
I changed every 3 rows ❤️
Do you have this video for left handers?
I noticed that you turn your work backwards. Is this just something you do with all your work or is this important for this type of blanket?
Yes! The spaces are why I didn't like c2c. Ty!
It call the shell stich in America
I was with you from the beginning. Then when you started The Binding off binding of just before you changed colors you went from the Lower Side to where they were all even and you didn't show how to get from the other side to that side
Ok I am sorry it is defined
It’s supposed to be six ch n.on the four one you do double crochet..that’s how I do mine…
This is the 5/2 method for smaller gaps - I have a tutorial for the 6/3 method too … both work wonderfully ☺️
Keep your work centered on camera. We’re seeing more wood table than what you are doing.
Wow, noting like being appreciative of such a good teacher and free videos!
