    I have just bought your unbelievably reasonable Fast Track for pulled chest high larynx course ($20!).
    I just did the 30min exercise session and understood for the first time ever exactly why I was doing the exercises and exactly how to do them and more importantly how not to do them!
    I have previously bought KTVA, Victoria, Brett Manning courses and now know that whilst I was doing their exercises as well as I could, because I didn't know what you explained I have been doing them wrong for too many years and have got nowhere except into very deep pulled chest straining voice!
    I cannot recommend getting your correct voice type course enough and it is a steal!
    Whatever course you are doing get this education!

    For many decades, ongoing research and development has been churning in the complex field of vocal coaching. The aspiration is to refine the crude design of an advanced vocal training system that not only produces precise trill-dynamic resonance in alignment with unilateral pitch modulators but also has the capability of autotuning the octavian harmonics. This revolutionary machine is the 'Turbo Vocalizator.'
    The original device was built upon a base plate of preverberated soundolith, topped by a pliable phonological casing that was arranged such that the dual oscillating phoneme-cogs were directly in line with the symphonetic fan. The entire setup involved merely seven sonocentric tonalflanges, fitted so seamlessly to the polyphonic diapasongear that any pitch fumbling was effectively inhibited.
    The core resonator was of the typical melodo-lambda kind and was embedded in the panacoustic semi-sonoroid recesses of the stator, every sixth conductor being connected by an irreversible sound pipe to the differential cadence coil on the 'sharp' end of the melogrammeters.
    The Turbo Vocalizator has now reached a pinnacle of refinement and is being utilized successfully in the operation of semiquaver modulations. Yet, in spite of the latest advances, efforts are still being focused on harmonizing the dissonant sforzando glitches while further enhancing the contralto pre-emphasis matrix.
    It's imperative to note that the Turbo Vocalizator requires no direct input from the vocal practitioner, thanks to its autodidactic contrapuntal spline. Instead, it intelligently learns from each phonemic pitch variegation and self-adjusts according to the stochastic reverberation theorem. Truly, the Turbo Vocalizator is a marvel in the world of advanced vocal coaching.

    Hey, I’m Georg and 3 years ago I injured my voice while singing. For about 2 years I haven’t been able to talk without pain and swelling feeling at all so I’ve not talked at all. I’ve consulted with my doctors and they’ve told me to exercise speaking regularly even if there’s pain but I want to spread my story to get second opinions.
    I used to sing a lot for several years before my injury. Some days even about 3 hours a day. Went to singing school sometimes, learn a bit of the (CVT vocal technique)
    One evening, I started to sing and my voice was not that great that day and I also drank a milk product before what causes my throat to produce a lot of mucus and thick feeling.
    I tried to sing one high note, but I couldn't reach it, so I squeezed my neck and vocal chords to get that high note and that’s how I injured my voice.
    From that day on my vocal injury has gone worse to the point that for 2 years now, I haven’t been speaking at all. Just a couple of words in one year.

    • @gs07007
      @gs07007 4 дня назад

      The reason for it is now when I speak, my vocal chords and thyroid area get “swollen” and painful(nerve pinching pain).
      I put swollen in brackets, because I’ve been to a laryngoscope and the camera didn’t detect any swelling in my vocal chords when they looked at it. And also they didn’t find anything other than couple of granulomas(not on the vocal chords) which could have been caused by some food intolerance.
      The vocal chords were just weak and atrophied.

    • @gs07007
      @gs07007 4 дня назад

      Going back to 2021 when I firstly injured my voice.
      The symptoms then were similar, there was the swelling feeling, and nerve pain.
      (it’s really weird to me that there was no swelling detected on camera, because when I get the swelling feeling, my whole throat feels so swollen. I even got a thyroid ultrasound, but nothing was detected there)
      So back then, basically I still could use my voice after the injury. So I had to not speak for a couple of weeks and then the swelling feeling went away.
      And I could practice again and talk.
      But as time went on. The swelling came back and back. I gave it more and more rest, to make the swelling go away.(one doctor back then even said that don’t stop speaking, but for me it didn’t make sense cause my throat felt so swollen and nerve pinching pain was quite bad).
      So I gave it more and more rest and as the time went on, about a year from the injury, I could only speak about 20 minutes a day.

    • @gs07007
      @gs07007 4 дня назад

      And it was difficult to avoid the swelling feeling and pain away, so I gave it more and more rest, until it became so bad that last year I couldn’t even laugh and this swelling feeling came back.
      It has since got minimally better now, but still I can only laugh about 5 times a day or less.
      My question is, if I start to practice again and ignore the swelling feeling in my throat and the nerve pain, would it injure me even more.
      That’s what I’m worried about.
      If someone told me that “100%, you will not injure your voice more when practicing through the pain”, then I would start.
      The last doctor said exactly that, but I needed to get a second opinion somewhere else, because I’m scared to injure my vocal chords even worse, to the point that I could lose my vocal chords forever.
      Thank you for reading it the whole way through and I would love to hear your opinion! Thank you in advance! :)

      Please ASAP go see an ENT that specializes in singing and have then give you a scope of the vocal cords. Make sure they have state of the art cameras and video equipment and will give you copies of the video and images they take. If they don't have the ability to do that, see someone who can. It's important to get there as soon as possible.

    I'm 20, I visited many teachers in my country (iran) and none satisfied me honestly.
    I am currently taking lessons with one of them, though.
    Since women aren't allowerd to sing solo here, it's really hard to find a good teacher.
    I haven't decided about the genre or other details but I definitely want a singing career.
    My vocal range is e3 to c6 but i have no vibrato in g6 and higher.
    I do have an acceptable technique other than my vibrato problems but i would like to gain a more powerful voice and sing louder.
    I'm trying to develop a better voice till the next year from youtube on my own to audition for college abroad.
    I'm doing random exercises for one hour daily and I feel like I'm improving.

    Off topic question but I am really curious how you identify the notes that a singer is using to create the melody so you can make sure when you're practicing you are practicing the right notes and not wondering off into some other key, or just generally off tune??

    • @PowerToSing
      @PowerToSing  Год назад

      I can play them on the piano....sound them out by ear. You can also buy the music many times. There the notes for the melody are written down. Another way is record yourself singing the melody and listen back to it and see if it sounds like the song's melody. Or get a friend who sings or who is a musician to listen to you and have them tell you if you are singing the correct notes of the melody. Make it simple like "If I fell in love with You" by the Beatles.

    Hi Mr Gilmore,
    I’m writing to learn about something unrelated to this video, but please excuse me, you are currently the most active vocal coach that I can get a response from at the moment. My question is about breath support for my voice (and most probably my overall muscular coordination/health aswell).
    When I (try to) inhale with my diaphragm, a dull pain pulsates in my shoulder(s) and my body stiffens.
    Is this normal? I’m completely new to breathing in this way (and singing as a whole I suppose), so I’m not too sure what I’m doing. I lock my shoulders and ribcage in place as I push out my stomach. Could my posture be wrong? Please let me know why this happens. If it is not about technique, what could be wrong with me? Could I possibly have a chronic illness?

Ive noticed pulling chest is a big issue when trying to get past G4-F4 and into the upper range. Im curious if I should even be worried about vocal type or if its a concept I should keep in my back pocket as far as being worried about it.

      If you are a true contralto, your first bridge is located at the E4, F and F#4. In other words, you bridge where the tenors and baritones bridge. That makes a big difference.

I can get past these notes but by A4-B4, thats when straining and chest pull happen really bad and I cant get further. Can I work through this passage the same way as higher female, as in the same physical mechanism are at play or should I approach this bridge differently? Hey chuck, I have a question for you. Seth Riggs teaches early bridging, claiming that if you stretch your chest voice higher you will only damage your voice and develop nodules from essentially shouting too much in chest. On the other hand, Ken Tamplin says that you should bridge as late as you can and stretch and thin out your chest voice in order to keep that part of the voice strong. Ken claims you will atrophy your voice if you don’t keep training your upper chest voice and instead rely on early bridging. He says, “Whatever you don’t use, you lose” and that you will lose your ability to stretch chest, which will eventually effect your ability to mix. Ken claims this is the reason why Artists like Axel Rose and Geddy lee lost their voice later on. Who is right? Why are these techniques complete polar opposites? Who do I listen to?

    Hello! Ive been watching your videos about falsetto and head voice but i still have no clue on how to get out of falsetto. I have a midtone voice and its difficult for me to get into high notes without entering falsetto. It almost feels as if theres a gap that i cant sing, so i just skip that note and head into falsetto. Please help!

      @@amrutasunny3414 It would probably be better to find a private teacher to study with after school hours. I don't think you will find any teachers qualified to teach you in the public school system. Music teachers, choir teachers etc are not trained to teach vocal technique to a soloist. It will make it much easier for you to get a referral from a friend who it taking lessons from a good teacher. Or you can try Skype online with a teacher of your choice. They usually have a link you can use to schedule a lesson and you don't have to talk to them until you take the lesson.

      We can use the diaphragm to help us breath and send air to the vocal cords in our mid neck area.These create sound waves which vibrate and resonate in the throat and head cavities. We form words with our tongue and lips and, when combined with the desired pitches, we send them out of our mouths as songs!

    Ok I have a question many years ago I was at a party and were all dancing and singing our hearts out and I opened my mouth singing and absolutely nailed it and people kinda just stopped and were like HOLY MOLY What the heck you can sing! And it’s kinda not happened again in as much intensity or clarity! I mean it completely took me by surprise as it just came out so effortlessly I’ve never been able to put my finger on what exactly I did and it really bothers me as I LOVE TO SING! And yeah! Anyway any explanations or suggestions ?

      It's amazing what we can do when we are not making a judgement about it...or thinking about it too hard. Also be aware it is possible that it wasn't technically correct...even though the loudness and confidence impressed everyone. But more than likely you can develop it to be strong, confident and powerful AND technically correct! The potential is there.

      @@PowerToSing thanks for replying and yeah I totally understand that 🤗 I am completely unaware of ANYTHING technical with singing so I guess if I did take any lessons or instruction I could have been able to develop something but alas I’m 48 now and getting way past it! I was just interested in what I had done and I guess we’ll never know lol was cool at the time though I suffer from ptsd and I find it hard to relax my body into anything unfortunately without taking horrible medications ooooohhhh to be young again lol
