Having this in the film really helps to tell us that Belle really did stay at that castle for days even months.
That's kind of the one nitpic I have with the movie because it's like telling us they fell in love with each other for a couple days
It may have been deleted from the original cut of the film, but it was in the Broadway musical and the Special Edition.
Howard Ashman was such a singer.

Howard Ashmans unofficial swan song in my opinion even though he did write others songs after this one. This is a long lasting testament to his ultimate inner genius.
Taken from us far too soon.
Him and Alan made literal magic with their combined efforts in music.
Imagine if it actually made it into the film, that would've been sweet if that was the case. Plus, had Howard Ashman avoided AIDS, he'd still be alive today.
The Beast looks like Sully.
This would not be impossible to reimagine, I mean, some of the sequences in this ended up in the final movie before parts of it got used in the extended version of the movie, such as 3:22 - 4:07.
I think it was ultimately better it was cut, but it definitely has that classic Menken/Ashman charm

Only Ashman. Rice reworked some lyrics for the broadway version, which was later animated for a rerelease of the movie, but this is Ashman’s original. That’s even him doing most of the singing.

Too Bad this Song wasn't in the Original Theaterical and the Disney+ Version but at Least this Song was in the Special Edition Version of Beauty and the Beast (1991).
Honestly, this is much better than the original.
Opinion tolerated but I like both to be honest. Wouldn’t it be cool if Lumiere were to wear a gold rococo suit, Cogsworth in a white wig and Plumette in long blonde hair?
