2:06 On the website, you can see on some images that the trees are leaking some kind of red sap. I think that it's that sap that goes into the river and tinges everything red. Fun fact, I was in Panama since yesterday and there is a species of tree called "Sangrino" or something like that, that has the same kind of blood-red sap, it's really weird to see but really cool at the same time.
there is a ton of weird plant life out there in the wilds lol And that's a cool observation. I've also kind of noticed there is a bit of a jungle area where the doshugama is if you look to your left.

So far lala barina is my favourite wilds monster, I like how she's fluffy and is like a tarantula and is like the exact opposite kind of spider to Nerscyla being more pretty but still in a creepy way, and the 3 fingers on the spider is so creepy aswell, just a great design overall, I hope she means Nerscyla is back tho
There is absolutely no way they make an entire region clearly inspired by Middle Eastern/African/Peruvian culture and art aesthetic, and not do some kind of Snake like monster. If I were to hazard a guess they'd probably do some kind of large constrictor boa like monster or a some kind of like brightly colored snake like a coral snake monster.
Animals disgusing themselves as plants is always cool. I would love to see what interations Lala Barina will have with the bird wyverns of the Scarlet Forest. Also it's nice to get a new Temnoceron, though I'll be honest I do wish it were a moth monster, what we got is still cool.

I’d say the most unrealistic part of lala barina is the body exploding into a rose more than the size, because where are all the organs during this? Are they all compressed or reduced in size? Perhaps that was the sacrifice taken to make this elaborate defense and display work. You can (kind of) easily explain the arthropod monsters by saying that perhaps the oxygen levels are high enough for arthropods to achieve such ridiculous sizes. I’d also say that lala barina isn’t just a spider, and may be also inspired by something like the orchid mantis due to its mimicry of flowers, and wasps, hornets, or ants due to the head and stinger. I think lala barina is probably the best design shown so far, retaining the weirdness and grotesqueness that comes with the arthropod monsters. I may also be a little biased here as I love many of the arthropod monsters already and think they’re excellent.
Her abdomen is where her organs are stored. The rose “bursting out” is here abdominal hairs puffing out, like a cats hair standing on end. They are just covering her abdomen. Not stored inside it.
@@eneskaradeniz4311 maybe. But the official site does say that this rose can be “opened up at will,” and the official render makes it look like it’s coming out of the body, having the most superficial layer of the body tearing apart to form leaf-like shapes around the rose. It is a little confusing to look at and try to draw conclusions for imo.
@@jafartext8229”opened at will” does not lead to any conclusions of her having huge amounts of hair stored in her body. When a peacock jumping spider displays its puffs it doesn’t release them from its abdomen. It’s a display, real life spiders have this too, so do many insects. Hair has volume, but it can also be compressed, hence the drawing to a cat making its hair stand on end. In a non engraged state her hair is simply there, once enraged she “opens up” the tuffs to appear larger and convey the sense of danger.
@@eneskaradeniz4311 you could be right, it may be an illusion of the body “exploding,” which imo is a more interesting explanation than just saying “it’s body explodes open for this”. It just looks more-so like that the body is hiding another layer of hairs that it then explodes as display and defense. I’m not saying you’re wrong at all, we don’t have much to go off of and no art books with more detailed explanations yet. But it being more of a trick than literally the body opening itself up I can very well see being the case.
