I discovered something mildly interesting about this enemy. If you are playing as Nero and have an enemy held, she can still grab you. You get locked into the grab animation BUT she sucks the blood from the held enemy and you take no damage.
Very good guide. I want to add also that the shotgun does a very good amount of damage to her. You may want to use Fireworks and normal or charged shot from Coyote-A.
@@conqvistguides7313 Indeed Empusa Queen is my favourite enemy so far in DMC5. You can do all air atacks on her and cancel them all. I don't know why people don't like her. For me she has the best combat potential of all enemies. She can attack you even if you are in the air, you can just have a fight of dodge, parry, blocking, styling in air, styling in the ground... there is no better enemy than her. She's one of those few enemies that are not a "infinite juggling", punch bag, also she can be very umpredictable with the double swing attack on her red form, you have little reaction time. Better than bosses.
For all you young or novice devil hunters watching. That line 'ight it jist like a boss. Dodge when it swings then attack when it misses.' Thats some major pointers right there. Learn their attacks. Wait for them to use them. Then wail on them once they miss

Your guides are fantastic! Looking forward to seeing what is up next. You may have answered this before, but why do you carry Rebellion over Sparda? I didn't bother using the other swords again once I got DSD so I'm not aware of the major differences, if any.
DSD does the best damage by swings and using the summon swords in tandem with it make it the strongest sword. Sparda does the same damage as DSD regular attack wise, but certain moves where it goes into scythe mode (high time, round trip, stinger) do more damage than DSD. Rebellion functions like sparda does but the damage is lower overall. It also doesn't have scythe mode so the damage of those moves are even lower. Sparda and rebellion can use old school round trip, and DSD can't. However DSD can use "round trips" with summon swords which is better because you dont lose the sword, and DSD is the only sword that can use the overdrive move. As for why I use rebellion, there is no tactical reason for it. If anything, using it is a handicap. I really like the look of the sword so thats why I use it. I just have to fight harder to compensate for the lost damage lol.
This enemy is good for practicing Royal guard and parry’s it’s also good to help your muscles remember the exact timing of moves to use not to mention experimenting with the weapon cycle; I don’t know if it works here but cycling your weapons can also increase the speed of your attacks as well as the damage I usually do this in previous dmc games as cycling weapons fast usually adds damage faster I don’t if that is how it works I just find it easier especially in DMC3 fights with Vergil if your doing JC s you can just cycle the weapons to increase speed if attacks and damage
The best way to deal with Queen Empusas are to just stay above them and watch for the jump. The mentality is similar to chess pieces in DMC 3, just duck in and out when you see an attack. They’re a nice big punching bag. Definitively a fun enemy.
Oh also I have one for Goliath. I'm not sure if you have that yet. But anyways, I know how to counter or deflect the fireballs. Nero's Gerbera and Dante's Royal Guard. I am not sure if Dante needs an exact bar to counter that. What I do know is, that both of them has to be timed perfectly in order to counter. You can also use Nero's air slash to do the trick as well but I'd say Gerbera makes it more easier.
The quadruple S method is super fun, makes this spongy enemy actually worth fighting. I also like using balrog's bamtam revenge punches, they stun fast and have dodges in between to evade damage plus they look swag as fuck, then I proceed to use piromania instead of real impact, since real impact tends to miss if you dont have perfect positioning making you look like a fool. So ignition, stun, piromania x2, stun, piromania x1 and that queen is as good as gone in DMD.

@@shariac5786 No problem. So for nero you want to use color up or charge shot to cause a flinch and then go in for a buster. You can also just get a parry and then buster. Once you've bustered it puts nero in the perfect spot to use showdown. When the queen gets up it should have only a little armor so you can shoot a few color up shots to reflinch it then buster again. repeat until it dies.
Heaven and hell is easy using guns, so its more of a joke difficulty. Hell and hell has son of sparda difficulty, which is less than DMD. So DMD is technically the hardest by the enemies having the most hp and damage of all the difficulties.
My tactic: Try to get to SSS and Quradruple S the shit out of it 😂 I just do this like 3 or 4 times and it will kill absolutely everything. It can be pretty hard to get there though.
@@bradsilvers5793 you can find the second one in mission 11 (its black) when you get to the part where you hit two blood clots to lower the buildings, theres a broken window you can jump into on the first floor in the tower away from the objective. Theres a couple of guides on it on youtube if you have trouble finding it.
this type of shit and tankyness and sponginess that enemies that makes me hate dmc5 even more and it makes it my least favorite dmc of all time NOBODY like to hit enemies and bosses for 5 hours straight or how ever long it may take , dmc5 has THE WORST BALANCE in dmc and it is almost as badly balanced as dmc2 with super tanky enemies and the scoring system in 5 is the worst it has ever been in the series it doesn't encourage good plays and it doesn't encourage people to actually improve and get good scores , example you Alan Conqvist are one of the best dmc players ive ever seen ive seen your guide on m10 you had like 5900 score in the 1st fight 2nd one you got 4100 score , I said to myself what the actual fuck was that you were just as stylish as you were in the 1st fight triple sss ranks everywhere left and right and the game screws you over which pissed me off because youre actually really good , and dmc5 has one of the WORST balanced difficulties a dmc game has the game makes the enemies waaayyy too tanky and it makes you do waayyy less damage to give you THE ILLUSION of difficulty while NOT being actual difficulty its difficult for the sake of being difficult NOT for the sake of teaching players and rewarding them p.s. MASSIVE THANKS to you alan your guides have been my light at the end of a very dark and gloomy tunnel I couldn't have done it without you

I like using it on her just for the fact she's one of the few enemies where rapid shotgun jump canceling is super easy.

How did you do quickdrive with DSD
Melee, then back to forward melee as the first swing is still going. Aka really fast.
I find high time helmbreaker and careful dash spam to do the trick 😅
