Quick thing I forgot. if you want to charge cerberus without swinging at the air like a goober, you can hide the button press in the first second of a taunt. Happy hunting.
hey alan, can I chain another weapon's attack into a lightning charge, like say, If I perform a stinger with DSD, can I hold the button from the attack while switching to cerberus and then perform a Long Barrel?
Exactly my feeling. King Cerberus is very versitale. It got speed and defense in ice mode, range and stun is thunder mode and power and high damage in fire mode. My favorite weapon by far. Together with Dr Faust is a game changer. Great video again!
Dude, your DMC guides are the best on youtube. Your in-depth analysis is unmatched and I always learn new things from you. Thank you for the quality content! This video is Hot Stuff! (sorry, couldn't resist)
y'know, up until my recent repeat playthrough of 3 where I really took the time to experiment with it and enjoy all the perks that came with it, like how a good chunk of the bosses are weak to it and Dante's *amazing* 'IT'S KEWL!!!' line for it's crazy combo, Cerberus was a weapon that I didn't really pay much mind to. It was just a weapon to use on first playthrough up until I got my hands on Agni and Rudra and then Beowulf. DMC5 though, it without a doubt became my most favorite weapon in the entire franchise. There's just no denying the visceral thrill of enjoying this weapon that's the embodiment of Ruby Rose's wet dreams. The three distinct modes it has are all a joy to use, with the default Cerberus form easily being my favorite, due to it's gameplay mechanics and designs making it feel like a genuine upgrade from OG Cerberus.
Ohhhhhhhh!!! So happy you're still doing tutorials!!! I'm still play DMC5 till this day (eventhough I might pause a bit because MHW Iceborne is coming up xDDD") Thank you so much for these tutorials! A noob like me really really appreciate vids like this and contents on your channel >_
It’s by far the most versatile weapon and revolver Jc into revolver hasn’t gotten old since DMC3. It’s still the most satisfying move to throw out in any battle. Sweet vid man. Hadn’t realised the tipper with the boe-staff.
and I was still under placebo effect believing that the ice would eventually freeze enemies at some point..... also that last scene makes me want a king cerberus fidget spinner.
My first instinct when I encountered the hellbats in Mission 18 was to use Cerberus cause "yeah, ice beats fire" xD, it was effective but I experimented in The Void and I think it has nothing to do with that. In DMC 3 some enemies reacts according to elemental weapons tho
@@SiloofCoresarito95 yeah it's sad that cerberus in dmc3 do have freeze effect if my memory is still to be trusted. I kinda remember the ice age move could freeze small enemies.
Been playing this game since the day it came out yet there're still things I failed to notice during my 300h gameplay. It's nice to know that things like "Revolver has icicles coming out after the last hit while in DT" exists. Nice vid.
i just want to hop in and say thank you. Thank you for creating this tutorial, which is ever so precisely completed, filled with both intelligence and hilarity. I rofl at 2 instances, maybe more. As for learning new things, I learned too much. I was unaware of the pole possessing a tip mechanic nor the parry potential of Revolution. I think i speak for everyone when i say We love you alan. your knowledge will live on in the stylish potential you have given us all.
These videos are really helpful in understanding the mechanics of the game on a deeper level. Looking forward to seeing these implemented in combo mads.
Yessss!!!!!! Man so happy to see a new video from you! Impressive and thorough as always!! I was previously on a all-Balrog period and recently start digging into King Cerberus (didn't learn it properly back in DMC3), and holy shit the lightening attacks make crowd control so much easier, particularly with the lizards and nobody! Thanks for another great video. And A++++++ for the ending lol
(finally done watching) Boy, you know so much hidden tips/tricks/features within a weapon/move :o!!!! Without watching your tutorial vids (and those cheese techniques xD) I would have never known!!! Thank you so much again :D!!
I wish they brought back the move where Dante spins Cerberus in orbit around his waist shout "whooooah TOO EASY!". Also wish the Ice had freezing and slowing effects, and maybe shooting the embedded ice causes extra damage. Alan, do you know if you can stack up and combine Balrog Blow Mode stun with Cerberus Lightning stun? Perhaps to build up faster ? Also any easy way to notice an enemy if actually stunned during the heat of combat.
Yeah balrog and king cerberus have the same stun meter, so you can finish a stun with the other weapon. As for tells, a complete stun can be seen by the slight white sparks around the enemies head. Theres no visual cue for an enemy about to be stunned.
If I didnt love Cavaliere so much, this would absolutely be my favorite. But if they had added satellite from DMC3 then it would be my absolute favorite.
Been waiting patiently for this one 😌 my fave weapon from dmc3 got even more badass only unfortunate thing is dante's dt doesn't change appearance with weapons
you ever see some one so much better than you, that you just want to go lay in bed all day and rethink your life todays a good day for that after this i think
Wow! I didn't realize that Cerberus had a lot of potential. Too bad I wasn't able to play around with it too much since you get it late in the game and I don't play higher than normal mode and I rarely do bloody palace. When I replay the entire game I always prefer to replay it from scratch and then just back up my previous save lol.
Quick thing I forgot. if you want to charge cerberus without swinging at the air like a goober, you can hide the button press in the first second of a taunt. Happy hunting.
Ah i c thx for the tip even thou I still miss my revolver and look like an idiot who miss his attack against the Angelo
You can also switch to it while stuck in an animation from another gun or weapon and charge.
hey alan, can I chain another weapon's attack into a lightning charge, like say, If I perform a stinger with DSD, can I hold the button from the attack while switching to cerberus and then perform a Long Barrel?
I'm good at this game, but I'm learning a lot from you. Nice vids, loved the Cavalier vid. It was off the chain.
I look forward to the Balrog vid.

I like how, without a gun, Dante looks like he's pointing at the enemy as he approaches them, as if to let them know that they're next

The only thing missing on K.C is having a back-forward move for fire and thunder.

Kenshiro (Hokuto no Ken) also perform too
