I remember when this came out in '85, Jeff Daniels was pretty popular and in a lot of movies, and immediately recognizing him when I saw this. now that it's 35 years later, it involves some remembering what he looked like 35 years ago, but at the time it was pretty easy to recognize him. He IS a musician - more of a guitarist - but there's no reason to think that a decent guitarist couldn't be playing this pretty simple keyboard part.
