When music was Good and music was literally life back then !

@@MusicRunner82 pretty sure. I remember when this came out in '85, Jeff Daniels was pretty popular and in a lot of movies, and immediately recognizing him when I saw this. now that it's 35 years later, it involves some remembering what he looked like 35 years ago, but at the time it was pretty easy to recognize him. He IS a musician - more of a guitarist - but there's no reason to think that a decent guitarist couldn't be playing this pretty simple keyboard part.

Jackson Browne was close friends with Glenn Frey of the Eagles. He helped write the song "Take It Easy" which was later recorded by The Eagles. It was released in 1972 and reached #12. The Eagles were the backup band for Linda Ronstadt in the early 1970s. Jackson Browne, The Eagles, and Linda Ronstadt performed together several times over the years. 4:15

The funny thing about this video is that originally it was supposed to be Bruce Springsteen singing with Clarence Clemons. However Springsteen was on his honeymoon, he had just married his 1st wife, so Clarence ended up asking Jackson Browne to sing with him. And in my opinion, Jackson Browne was a much better choice.

Corporate America targets the young- - always will. Make no mistake: all of this technology that stands in the way of natural one-on-one & impersonalizes it is by deliberate design, & weve allowed it to happen. Now we the Public have been following right along with their purely commercial & hollow vision of what communication should be
Millennials are hitting their 30s & 40s now. And Gen-X? When are we going to start doing our part? Weve been grandparents for a good while. It does no good when one has the convenience of Munich Germany, Melbourne Australia, Windsor Ontario Canada, Vienna Austria, & orway all at their fingertips, but no familiarity whatsoever with ones immediate neighbors; no connection with their local community

OMG! I heard this on the radio back in the 80's and the DJ didnt say who it was. But it never left me! Been humming it in my head since then, but for nearly 40 years I had no idea who it was. Until today! a combination of chatGPT and AHA Music (and my dodgy humming!) finally found it! My God! Incredible tune! Its been my ear worm for all this time! How come this wasnt a HUGE hit in the UK!? Its catchy as hell! I can attest to that!

Met, Clarence Clemmons in Jupiter Florida, in the early 90,s. What a gracious man, he was. I spoke to him about Bruce, and how much I admired him, since I learned alto sax, when I was a kid. He was so kind and made time to talk to me.

I've had the intro of this song stuck in my head for a week but couldn't remember anything but that sax. No lyrics or melody. Finally stumbled on it searching for 80s songs with sax intro. I can't tell you the number of times Baker Street came up. Totally not even close. For a bit I thought it was Bruce Springsteen, I was in the right church thinking it was Clarence Clemons but sitting in the wrong pew. Glad I finally found it.

Those were the days. When we could all be friends regardless of background, 'n color. Just based on love and common interests in music 'n life. Now, today...such connections come laden with heavy burdens to see each and behave just a certain way, to demonstrate some sort of co-morality. Geez, missin' the 80s!

It still exists. We just have some if the most powerful people in this country that are creating the division. By doing so and having people hate each other those power houses are grabbing control of all of us. If some don’t wake up and realize they’re are being played, we will soon see who create the narrative and why. Because they will be in control of all of our lives. Never belief someone that’s not your family member when they tell you they are going to make your life better only YOU can make your life better. Keep on keeping on, people. #lovealwayswins
