She looks so stunning, you can really see that she had a background in fashion and really knows how to dress stylishly. I love the mixture of classic basics with a natural twist.
Hi, could you tell us if there is an equivalent for Asian and afro girls. It doesn't look like same principles apply, but you have an expert eye. How would you define body types in Asians and afro-carribeans? Thank you
Very interesting! On 15:35 ... This is no plastic. Its ivory, bone, mammut bone, red coral and glass beads with silver and old silver. Very hip at that time. Remember the safari trend and the interest in african colours and patterns? Dear Aly. You are such an inspiration!
Try self tanner. There are really good ones out there now, no streaks...natural looking tan. You gotta repeat the procedure each week, but it's so worth it in summer, imo.
I see her picture in a swimming suit and it’s exactly me (that’s what I mean when I try to explain the width in the midsection) also, the strong looking face bone structure. Since I am only 5’ 2” I don’t come across as a natural that easily but it’s obvious to me when I see pictures of me with different outfits. Interesting that Aly mentioned the sleek hair. The only way my face doesn’t look that strong with sleek hair is if I do a high bun and leave one lock of hair hanging or something like that but in general I hate how I look with sleek hair and now this explains why.
For me, height matters less for your type than how tall you look (vertical line) and your bone structure especially. I know Kibbe is very strict about height but I personally disagree
I really relate to you! Even i am 5'2" and have that straight body with squarish shoulder and squarish face. I have masculine features, so i balance it out with, not necessarily feminine, buf "feminizing" clothing, if you know what i mean 😅. Plunging neckline with U or V necks and tight tops look good. For dresses, i think the flowy-er, the better (think 60s hippie dresses). And for hair, I have naturally curly hair, and if i dont have fringes on the sides to frame my face, i think i look wide
Think you are right on with Ali being a NC. Lots of scope there. My fav look for her is the turtleneck top, pants, centre part hair. She wore a beret sometimes too with it. She was stunning like this. Her colouring, tanned body and face, smoky eye and bare lip...she radiated health too. She didn't need anything else. Except maybe Steve McQueen's motor- cycle and leather jacket!
Ali Macgraw was always so beautiful and still is into her 80s. I loved her in Love Sory and a few other movies. I really wish she had done more. Such a wonderful classy lady. She was another " it girl " of the 70s.
Hi there! I love the way you talk, the great knowledge you share. I wish more beauty gurus would know at least 30% from what you already know! My lady, please, can you make a vid about women that think they don t look good with makeup? I have this problem. No matter what techniques or colors I use, I feel makeup isn t for me and I look like a pathetic peasant girl. And I feel bad because I see so many women literally transformed by the beauty of makeup. I think I do smth wrong but dunno what. Thanks in advance >
These are ones who audience should idolize if anybody. Someone who has natural beauty and age gracefully, not some damn Kardashians who have done way too much of plastic surgeries!
The accessoires Ali wore in the 80ties were not plastic. The bracelets were probably bone and the big red necklace glass with shell. I know this because I've had those too 😀
I think this is how we dressed in California at that time. Very different from the East Coast. Maybe that is one explanation? We ironed our hair straight and wore center parts in the early’60’s when I was in college. Sort of a mish- mash of ‘50’s preppy with beatnik vibes. Hippie ethnic clothing came a bit later. But definitely Californian and for young people.
I was 14 when Love Story came out. Love Ali Mac Graw. But having her described as a FN confuses me. To me she's a Classic type. How is she different from Demi Moore( D. C.) for example?
I get confused too (thought Jane Birkin was DC not FN) but I think Naturals tend toward heavier/chunkier facial features vs more delicate for Classics, even when they have more evenly spaced features. As well as body symmetry etc.
Her latest pictures - wow! So inspiring for women of all ages. Thanks for sharing these, Aly!
She looks so stunning, you can really see that she had a background in fashion and really knows how to dress stylishly. I love the mixture of classic basics with a natural twist.
She looks so beautiful with grey hair!
She looks so glamorous in some photos, great posture and body awareness works a style base for sure!

You are a genius. An artist in every way.
Thank you Aly, excellent insight, as always. Happy to finally see the representation of my body type.
So excited to see this video! Thank you for covering this natural icon.
This has been my favorite example for a body type. What an amazing stylish and beautiful woman, true inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
So happy to see this. Only naturals that come out are her and J Anniston. We don’t see much. Thanks!
Women like her make me envy that tanned looking complexion so much, bc of how stunning they look in white.

Just chose the right tone of white and your skin will pop too

Maybe you should consider some kind of gamine?
@@Anastasia-ze8bl No. I am as far away from gamine as you can imagine. My sister is taller than me and she is Gamine. The differences are striking.

loving this style on you!! super fun looking!
Ally please make a video entirely on Kibbe definitions!!!!!! Kibbe’s terms like width, vertical, balance, hourglass etc are so confusing. Great video!
Thank you Aly for your great work!
I love Ali MacGraw
Thank you for sharing Your opinion and knowledge with us. I admire Your excellent review. You look stunning in this video.
Ali Macgraw was always so beautiful and still is into her 80s. I loved her in Love Sory and a few other movies. I really wish she had done more. Such a wonderful classy lady. She was another " it girl " of the 70s.
Really did not remember her with shorter hair. It really looks lovely. Great analysis of the beauties of the 60s 70s and 80s and there styles!!
@@Srarlight1212 I believe she did a book on Yoga in the late 70's -early 80's, she had shorter home, looked amazing.
Love you and your channel!!
Aly, you look fabulous!!
Fantastic video as always! Love your analysis on these icons and love you Aly 💝
My mom chose my nickname as a kid after ali macgraw!! Thanks for this video
Clothes and jewelry just fabulous.
I love this series sooo much.. :-) Looking forward to the remaining types, especially the pure gamine.

Thank you Aly your detail and video. I love Ali Mcgraw and I’m a natural…. I think!?
I love this! I’m a natural and always have a hat and jewelry on me.
She was the style icon for my mum, and now I can see why ☺️
Mine too!
Excellent!!❤❤❤❤
Ali can you please do a video on loungewear for the body types ?
Thanks for the video 😘 please do a theatrical romantic body type icon
Ali McGraw was a style icon for me. Beautiful then and beautiful now. She was a Preppy icon.
Pinterest board links aren't working. Can you look into it? Loved this video!
Can't wait for Dramatic classic!!
Wow does this woman look beautiful in her silver years!

ALYYYY do you know what it means to have the white of your eyes kinda blueish ???
ali macgraw has a natural body with a dramatic classic face so she looks best in preppy styles

Can you do Vanessa Paradis please? xx

I love Ali aaaah ❤️
The link to your pins doesn't work Aly!
Could you review Olivia Hussey from 1960s Romeo and Juliet?
Anna..That would be great. She was so pretty and I loved that long, dark and straight hair.
Soft dramatic I think!

Pleaseeee do Rita Hayworth
I like the scarf as a belt in the jeans
Could you tell me what kibbe type I am? We could pay for it
She is an icon, indeed!😎
a lot of people say i look like her aw :)
You totally do!
Be happy about that! 🥰

It's scary how youtube knew I j watched love story
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Those bracelets were bone, not plastic. I know because I had the same ones. So still natural
ALY PINTEREST LINKS ARE BROKEN (in Safari)
She looks amazing now but lovely in the 70s she should have kept that look imo.
In the 1980's permed hair was in.
Choker Aly, not chacker. Haha
🤨
not plastic jewelry...bone, enamel, ivory
Unfortunately I don't like her any image from 60's and 70's and 80's. She is not elegant at all...until 90's. I like her in grey hair:)
She has aged SOOOO BEAUTIFULLY 😍
