Could you make a separate video on the manifolds and how to use every feature it offers
I've been doing air conditioning in Florida for 33 years. I'm 51 years old. I started doing ductwork. Got into installs indoor air quality and now. Basically I just do maintenances and service calls. And I just found your channel and I'm really loving it. It's got me a little rejuvenated for my trade. Because I'm sure as you know, you can get quite burned out, doing the same thing over and over day in a Day Out.
Yes please make a video on the apps and the pros and cons of each. I'm in HVACR school now and want to use the better app.
Measure quick is the best for newbies
Appion makes a Charging T that is a lot smaller then that little setup you have
Thank you for making this video. I’m currently in HVACR school, so this explanation helps a lot
Great tips on the Fieldpiece digital manifold gage set & the different ways you can use it. Yes, you can do a more in-depth video on the Fieldpiece wireless probes & the digital gage as well. I am ready to purchase the manifold so any & all information is helpful. The analog manifold gages seem to be very limited by comparison.
In my opinion if you’re green you should start with analog gauges then move up to digital
I’m glad you mentioned the K type ODDB sensor. I got them for my multimeter and never knew i could plug it into the manifold sweeeeeeet.. i was always wondering about that. Thank You
Thanks for sharing as this takes time getting all the angle shots then editing. I strictly use the probes due to all the critically charged units I service along with walk-in coolers/ freezers that you can monitor the box temp when adjusting the charge on the roof.
I'm over here still using analog manifold lol
Me too
Great video zack
For the past 2 summers I've been using the Testo 550i manifold and it's very nice. But a couple weeks ago I picked up the Testo 549i probes and love them, should have got them sooner.
Awesome video. Both are good products. I use the manifold for charging or recovering. Probes are good to diagnose or just checking pressures during a maintenance. Another thing to consider is if you have the probes they're alot easier to take up on roofs or things of that nature.
My setup up is almost identical but I use a T with a hose with a ball valve for charging. Other then that I have the same tools and everything
Thank you for the video. Can the manifold refrigerant choice be updated as time goes on?
I just picked up the field piece probes but always had the first gen testos mostly for heat pumps, critical charge systems or awkward systems in ceilings (see heat pumps). I’ve always used analog gauges. My company won’t buy digital gauges but I don’t think I would either. Not a fan of screens outdoors and hate batteries dying. I’m sure those digital manifolds are nice but I like analog. Probes are nice for a snapshot of system operation for a report and quick maintenance checks while looking at a dozen units a day.
Cheers!
Good video ! i Run testo 557's - Gen 1. so. never used a fieldpiece Manifold. Thanks for the Run through. Does anybody know if u can Silence that annoying beep everytime you push a button on that fieldpiece ?
Also im using Tasco Safety Valve protect from frost bite.
Please do a video on both apps I have both and I’m still learning
Looking for digital probes with display on them. Like the fieldpiece vacuum probe.
What multi tool and flashlight do you use in that brown patch thing that you have on your belt? I've been working on reefer units on the end of railcars for 20 years, but I want to get into your line of work. They only let us do mechanical stuff. No refrigeration stuff.
Another thing is that the digital I think if does measure microns for vacuum, correct me if I’m wrong
What’s your opinion about full package of Refmate 4 from Swiss Refco?
Does anyone know if the current fieldpiece digital gauges are compatible with new A2L Refrigerants we are moving towards?
Make one Testo vs Fieldpeice
Where do you get the core depressors from?
what is the hose brand for 5/16 core remover? I found it super hard to get a adapter except 1/4 to 5/16.z
I just use 2 valve core removal tools.
Can you use the wireless probes on a 410A system then go to your next job and use is on a R22 system without a problem? Thanks for your videos. God bless
I have an had no issues.
Yes all digital gauges can you’ll be good
What kind of batteries does the digital manifold use?
6 x AA batteries
I just have analog gauges but put a T so I can turn my analog’s into digitals.
Wireless don’t work when you don’t have WiFi
But it’s Bluetooth
They’re Bluetooth and works up to 300 feet away. If your phone doesn’t have Bluetooth. It’s time to trade in that 1st generation Nokia.
Rugged wow so they made a change from 2017
