The world keeps getting crazier. I bought my first generation Testo Smart probe set for a couple hundred bucks when they were new on the market (the current set is double that price). As a DIYer, that seemed like a lot of money at the time. It seems like a screaming bargain now.
Great customer service always have treated me exremely well when ive had any issues, even if it wasn't under warranty . That tells me alot because this stuff is not cheap .
Just bought the SM380V Can’t afford the other one Tough times! Yellow Jacket are cheaper, but I have too many app as is Looked a A2L recovery machine, $2,000.00 😮 I was like, does it give you foot massage while is recovering?! Holly cow 🐄
Hi Carlos! We are glad to hear of your interest in Fieldpiece Products and recent purchase of the SM380V. We hope you are getting great use out of it! We are continually focused on making our products accessible to the HVACR techs who rely on them. One of the ways we aim to get new products in the hands of HVACR techs is through product giveaways. We encourage you to keep an eye out on our social media channels for announcements of upcoming chances to win products!
Seems like the sm480v with a facelift. I love my sm480v gauges. I stopped using multiple gauge sets ever since i bought these. I will say the only thing about these is that they are a bit heavy but ill never go back to having 3 pairs analog gauges on the truck. I also use fieldpiece probes and theyre nice. I dont like using my phone with nitrile gloves on, and i dont like getting refrigerant oil on my phone either. So manifold gauges are still my go to.
Our R&D team is working around the clock on new and exciting innovations to make techs’ jobs easier, faster, and better. Stay tuned for upcoming product releases...
How do you trust a guy that says "putted on" (about 1:35) and does not know the difference between supply and return vs indoor and outdoor unit? Fieldpiece has NEVER implemented a psychometer for reading outdoor conditions in their app. despite repeated statements of "it's in the works". Hey, you have it in the SMAN why not in the app? Does that OA info transfer from the SMAN to the app when you link it?
Thank you for the feedback. As a matter of fact, the Job Link app is able to get the ODDB with the JL3RH. It’s been in the app for a couple months now. Check it out =)
I'll stick with my SM480V. Its also A2L compatible. I also use my wireless temp clamps with them and it does just fine. No need to spend $1000 for some gauge's when mine does almost the exact same thing.
That looks like a thousand bucker 💰💰💰💰😂😂😂😂
question is are you gonna get them dave ?? 😂😂

@@jgonzo6I’m sure he’ll gladly take a pair to give a review.
My old gages, thermometer and hygrometer work great after 27 years.
Need to do a side by side size comparison of the 480 and the new 482
The SM482V body is more compact and almost half a pound lighter! (You also gain 50+ hours of battery life!)
É top esse manifold

Gotta take care of our techs and their tools!
A lot of improvement. My hook busted off years ago :)
Thanks for the vid, can’t wait to get my hands on a set
Can’t we just do an update on the ones we already have ?
And if i turn in the now outdated manifold you told me to buy 2 years ago do i get a prorated price?
The sman 480v is by no means outdated.
Compare the 480 and 482. Why should I upgrade?
That’s a good point the only change I see is the clamp holders
The new ones are rated for new refrigerant coming out a2l
I want to see tony back in the crawlspace giving these presentations . . . lol
A heads up that these were coming out wouldve been nice i just bought the 380v 😐
So its smaller than the 480v?
No Measure Quick compatible????
Are they compatible with Measurequick as well?
Indeed they are
Just bought the SM380V
Can’t afford the other one
Tough times!
Yellow Jacket are cheaper, but I have too many app as is

Hi. I'm new to this instrument. At minute 3:00 it says the 482 has data logging, does that mean the 480 doesn't?
The 480V also has data logging. :)
But can it be used as table for your lap on which to put your lunch. That’s the real test. Nice though.
Built tough even for lunchboxes!
Can yall fix the joblink app to work when the phone locks or look at something else. It seems like its half done.

@@FieldpieceProducts I don’t need innovation. Apps have worked in the background for a decade or more.

Heads up, the SM482V is about a half a pound lighter that the SM480V! Every little bit counts
@@FieldpieceProducts I will buy them for sure. 👍
Is there a new generation of vac pumps releasing soon?

The 382V is much better because no one pulls vacuum through a manifold anymore lol
Right lol
2 weeks ago I just bought the new version sm482V it’s expensive too
About how much?
@@Android_WarriorI got them for $650 new at my supply house
I’ll keep my Elitech and use a PT chart 🤣😉🤷🏻♂️
Just put the P/T gauge in the bag bro
Seems like the only difference is the case
I bought the digital probes. Gauges are a thing of the past.
Do the probes have the info of 32 and 454?
Idk. But they update the app all the time. So I’m sure they can add it
They have their place I wouldn’t say they are a thing of the past
Analog batteries never die. I have all three and use analog most often. Probes does not fit everywhere a hose does.
@@WhowereEpsteinsclients then take the hose off your guages and put the probe on the hoses, now probes can fit anywhere guages can.

@Shlongest902 you do you but mine does everything I need it to do
@@JMHVAC502I didn’t have any SMANs before so I just got the newest model
@Shlongest902 OH ok. That makes sense.. Fantastic guages.. Well, The SM480V are great so I'm assume the SM482V is just as great.. You will enjoy them
Why for 700 dollars does the sman 382v have no bluetooth...... whyyyyyyyy??? 700 dollarssss no bluetooth
The SM382V *does* indeed have bluetooth 👍
Took forever for a quality tool
another expensive junk
Why do you guys keep making me buy new tools? 🤣 you know I have to have one. . 💸
I’m such a tool whore
same, I had no idea these were coming out and now i'm gonna have to find some more tool money....
Nothing new 🤷🏻♂️
