Alright let us put this to rest. There have been a lot of people speculating on how I got double jump even though I never completed the red key room. Some of you hit the nail on the head. Once you reach the Neighbor Boss room, the game assumes that you have all abilities beforehand reaching that stage of the game. Since I haven't completed that room the game just rewards me with double jump at that point, hence why I have double jump without completing that room.
It wasn't all a dream. He really does get kidnapped as a child, and that experience stays with him all the way to adulthood. He moves back to the same neighborhood as the kidnapping from his childhood, and he decides to take a nap. It is during that nap that he has the nightmares of the second half of the game, because then the game becomes about him overcoming his demons from the first half (where he actually got kidnapped). Regardless, the game still sucks 1/10 would not recommend.
Zach F Never said it was a bad game because of the bad ending. I think the story is fine and serves it's purpose. The game is bad because of nonsensical puzzles, awful pacing, game breaking bugs, laughable AI, and poor level design. You're right: I can't make a good game. Because I'm not a developer. And I'd never think of charging people money for something that I clearly can't create.

Aske if you have time search for Joseph anderson second chanel. There is 8hours stream where he beats the game. Watch any part where you can see his problems with game. Game is buggy, unintuintive And overall bad
Yea i was super hype for this game to come out when it was being shown off as pre-alpha from a couple RUclipsrs but then what i thought was gonna be a creepy story mode game turned into a like kid friendly creepy alien time and space manipulation type of game xD also i presumed the bugs and glitches would've been fixed or it'd just be free considering it was being given out for free at one point i believe. They just really sold out here and put it on every console which was just a shame. I'm not a scary game player or even a 1-player gamer at all but i was sad Slenderman wasn't being played anymore since i never got to experience that with friends so i wanted another scary game to play with others for fun but this just kinda screwed me over xD

This game shouldnt have even had a story. Back when the first version of the game was released, I thought they had a good horror game going. Now its some qUiRkY mess of a story and eh gameplay, not even scary anymore, they took out the fear aspect and replaced it with "Oh but the neighbour has a sob story, feel bad for him, hes not a monster". Idk, this reminds me of what chucklefish did to starbound. They took a good game with a future for it, slapped some lame and confusing storyline over it, and basically butchered the hell out of the game losing its potential. Nice speedrun by the way, this isnt an attack on you, its on the game. I havent seen the ending until just now and I am thouroughly disappointed in the whole "and it was all a dream" part.

I believe that this speedrun was used by taking advantage of bugs to skip certain parts and that's why it's so chaotic... like if you are at a certain place then the game think you are in the next area and you are teleported there... the most obvious example of this is with the beartrap in the corner...
The part with the beartrap was him using objects(the chair and beartrap) to glitch into the loading zone of the next area/part. Putting the objects down in a certain way displaced him far enough that the game thought he touched the loading zone, which must've been near/under the wall he was standing against. This is a common trick in a lot of games that are speedrun
Jion Jesk when he does the bear trap glitch, he is right by the main door of act three, and he uses the chair to push his body far enough into the wall to trigger the next scene

If you bought the game from HumbleBundle, you would've got all of this. If you bought the game from Steam, or from the Microsoft Store. You would only get the Full Game. For the same price. It assumes you first payed 30 Dollars to play the alphas. Also, the fans rushed them. Like, after Alpha 4 came out they kept screaming "WHERE IS ALPHA 5? WHERE IS ALPHA 5?", and after a 2 months. Beta 1 came out. (Alpha 5 wasn't a thing), Same thing after they released; Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Beta 1, Beta 2, & Beta 3.

This just shows of how buggy and glitchy Hello Neighbor is. I was one of many that were so happy of the full game coming out but it sucks. It still have those weird glitches and you can still skip a massive part of the game. Just watch Jacksepticeyes let's play and you'll see what I mean. When you get into the game, IT DOSEN'T EVEN HAVE A TUTORIAL. This game is just really badly designed, it's like they didn't even try. And the price too, 30 pounds. In dollars, 40. So I don't recommend you to buy this bullshit for that price.

I'm not entirely convinced this game wasn't tinyBuild's attempt at a money laundering scheme. Absurd price tag, boatloads of merch before the game was even out of beta, mediocre end product.

Let me make it easier. You pay 30 Dollars for these builds and more; Pre-Alpha, Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Alpha 4, Beta 1, Beta 2, Beta 3, & a Steam Key for the full game. If you bought the game from HumbleBundle, you would've got all of this. If you bought the game from Steam, or from the Microsoft Store. You would only get the Full Game. For the same price. It assumes you first payed 30 Dollars to play the alphas. Also, the fans rushed them. Like, after Alpha 4 came out they kept screaming "WHERE IS ALPHA 5? WHERE IS ALPHA 5?", and after a 2 months. Beta 1 came out. (Alpha 5 wasn't a thing), Same thing after they released; Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Beta 1, Beta 2, & Beta 3.

This just shows of how buggy and glitchy Hello Neighbor is. I was one of many that were so happy of the full game coming out but it sucks. It still have those weird glitches and you can still skip a massive part of the game. Just watch Jacksepticeyes let's play and you'll see what I mean. When you get into the game, IT DOSEN'T EVEN HAVE A TUTORIAL. This game is just really badly designed, it's like they didn't even try. And the price too, 30 pounds. In dollars, 40. So I don't recommend you to buy this bullshit for that price.
