do the diffusion and nd filters really make that big of a difference? i have an fx30 and while the footage is clean and nice, it never comes out looking cinematic, just super digital
They definitely make a difference! If you dont use ND Filter you often cant use the correct shutter speed (2x framerate) and wont get that nice/natural looking motion blur, which is quite important in my opinion, especially if you are going for a "handheld look". And diffusion filter take that really sharp / digital look of the footage and help with archiving a softer look. I also add some glow in davinci resolve and some grain, that helps aswell! I want to do a little filter comparison video in the future so watch out for that :)
You made the colors so beautiful. Please post more 😊 I also wanted to ask, how was post production for you? I just got my a6700, shot vids at 10 bit 4:2:2, slog 3. Im a beginner. Im afraid if my files are too big for my computer and software
Thank you! 🙌🏻 I have an mac book pro with an m1 Chip, that handles the Footage without any problems and the file sizes arent that big either if you dont shoot on the all I codec. If you run out of storrage just get an external SSD :) and if your computer isnt powerful enough to handle the 10bit Footage you can always export proxies and work with them, the workflow is pretty easy! And there are a lot of tutorials on RUclips :) so there is always a way to make it work, dont worry 😊
Thank you 🙌🏻 I only got the overheating warning once, while filming a lot of 100p in the bright sun but it didnt turn off. So I think it not a big problem if you dont shoot long takes.
I hope you like it as much as I do! To be honest I use the 18-50 for like 90% of the stuff I do. So its nice to have but definitely not a must have. But If you want to vlog with this camera and film yourself its nice to have something wider than the 18-50 :)
