Lino, this must be hands down the most instructive and fun comparison of the various K&F Concept diffusion filters I've come across, and I've watched quite a few. Only serves to confirm my preference for the Shimmer Diffusion 1 - unsurpassed subtlety of effect while retaining maximum sharpness. Great filmmaking too. I'm just an amateur stills photographer, but you're definitely someone to watch. Liked & subscribed.

Dude, what a comparison! To my taste, more subtle it's better, the black-mist 1/4 and 1/2 where so beautiful! The night effect with the shimmer was a good surprise also
Cool comparison video. 👍 The shimmer filter was largely too subtle to be noticed during the day but stood out during the night shoots. Was actually trying to search for a comparison between their series K, D and X and chance upon your video. Probably will be getting the 1/2 to compliment the 1/4 Nano-K that I currently have.
Love the comparison and subtleness of the shimmer 1! I currently have K&F black diffusion 1/8 but I wonder if it’ll be different enough to get Shimmer 1.. thoughts?
That‘s a good question. Unfortunately I dont own a black diffusion 1/8 but based on the look of the 1/4 I would Imagine that the difference is really subtle. I like the shimmer 1 because it doesnt lift the shadows at all. So if thats something you dont like on the 1/8, maybe go for the shimmer 1! Or just send it back if you dont like it 😬

Black mist 1/2 looks great in some daylight shoots, but seems no one uses it, and prefer the 1/4 or 1/8, shimmer seems great for the night. I kind of want to try the 1/2 and go against popular opinion
there are no wrong choices in filmmaking, just find your own style :) If you like the 1/2 just go for that one! In my opinion they all have their own vibe, it just depends on the look you are going for 🙌🏻

Maybe a bit but I would say it just takes of the sharp / digital look. Thats why I like it a lot! But Its still pretty sharp
