I installed this very mod on my GBA, it's pretty nice. I also installed a dehiss/dehum kit but i still get background hissing, i may have made an error along the way, then again i am a complete novice when it comes to soldering. I also messed up the brightness function of my IPS kit, cause both the L and R buttons are completely dead.
oh thats not good, ive had it on a different gameboy where i would get some audio hiss and i reflowed all my solder joints and it went away, perhaps this is worth trying for you?
I upgrade the capacitor to 220uf, and the sound volume is bigger enough, not really necessary to install an amp I though. However, the backgrand buz, hum, hiss noise still there even though all capacitors replaced; can solve the issue by adding new capacitors with retro six solution of dehiss dehum kit?
did you guess what it was?

You should also replace those caps. Helder’/ game tech has a kit available check his store out!
Would you recommend this mod for a fellow novice?
Would you recommend this for a beginner the only mod I've done is the brightness control on a gba
If you install this does it mean you don’t need the dehum/dehiss part? I bought both!
would you recommend this for a novice at soldering ? Ive never soldered anything before

I can hear very very low volume on my gba, not sure if it’s because of the capacitor, will the amp help me?
i would solve your issue 1st before using an amp. Could be many reasons, but capacitors is quite likely
@@JuicyJakeRepairs do you have tutorials on how to front light gbc or gba using ds lite led backlight?
