I made this for one of our Bible Study partners. His wife had major surgery and he stayed home to take care of her. He barely knows how to boil water much less prepare a delicious and nutritious meal for her. I made this soup for them and the only variations was add a little more chicken and pasta. Everything else is the same recipe as you have here. It came out fantastic; the best chicken noodle soup I have ever tasted. I was given a nice compliment from them; requested I make it again next week!! I guess they liked it too!! lol Thanks for a fantastic recipe Natasha.🥰

So delicious, warm and so family-style. I love noodle soup. But usually make it with small pasta - vermicelli - and sometimes I previously fry pasta on a pan without any oil, till it slightly brown (it preserves vermicelli from swelling too much in the soup). Thank you so much, Natasha!👍👍👍⚘⚘⚘🤗🤗🤗

That soup looks absolutely delicious. Actually I heard a little while back if you keep a folded wet tea towel in front of the cutting board whike chopping the onion cells gravitate towards the closest water source, thus why it gets your eyes and bringing on the burning sensation . Worth a try pretty lady eitherwise the next best thing is wearing goggles 😃 stay blessed

This is the great thing about RUclips. Old videos never die. I didn't need the recipe as a 'how to' exacty, but I only had rotini noodles here at the house and never used that so searched to see if anyone else had. I was SO GLAD to see you use that as opposed to the wide egg noodles most commonly known for this meal! That was the pat on the back I needed to go ahead lol. Now I see any pasta with a similar thin texture/consistency will do for this meal.

I made this today. I added the garlic to the onions and celery once they were cooked. I didnt add the chicken back in. (I took the chicken out and put them in a pan until browned and ate seperately) but i followed the rest. It turned out soooo tasty!! I've tried maybe 5 different chicken soup recipes but yours was a winner. 👌

When chopping onions don't cut the end of the onion where it sprouts till you are completely done chopping the rest of the onion. Chopping the sprout of the onion causes the gas of the onion to make you tear up. Doing it this way really works. I learned it from a tic tok video.

Love this recipe! I was looking for an easy to make chicken soup and this really fit the bill and aside from having the backs from two chickens to make stock I"d just coincidentally bought a 12 pack of thighs! I hadn't made stock yet so I used Minor's Chicken base used for stock or gravies and it's the next best thing to homade. I didn't have those type of noodles on hand so I just used wide egg noodles and I made some connefelis (which are basically just eggs and flour and salt where you just keep adding flour until you can't stir in any more flour and I used two or three eggs). To my way of thinking the only thing better than a good chicken soup is to cram it full of noodles and connefellis to make it as filling as possible!
Yeah, great easy recipe. See, you're using a Le Crueset (sp) Dutch Oven. I had a Lodge 7 1/2 quart that looked just like that, but I can see the French jobbie is about three times as much!

Hi Natasha! For the onion chopping part, try to water your knife before cutting the onion. Water will absorve most of the acid that will come out. Or cutting the edges first and then peel the "skin". Breaking in half first with the skin, will bring more acid too. Another amazing recepie!!

Hi Natasha, I am 53 years old living alone now. I absolutely love ❤️ to cook. I’ve never cooked homemade chicken noodle soup in my entire life before. My mom, when I was young, Cooked the BEST homemade chicken noodle soup from scratch.. I can still taste hers in my mind.. God I miss it and her 😢 very much. I’m going to give it a try tonight 2-2-23 for the first time in my life using your recipe. I’m going to cut everything in half being it’s just for myself. Yours looks sooo good. Please wish me luck..🤞🤞
And By the way, please forgive me, but you are absolutely dropdead gorgeous.. thank you for this recipe.. and as for the tip on how to cut onions without crying, use skiing goggles.. it looks crazy but it works great.. God bless,
    Brian

Trust me on this tip: add cilantro as the chicken cooks in the water. Not a little bit, but lots of it. Add it with the stems and everything, and remove the stems once the chicken is cooked and you’re ready to add the onions.

Hey Natasha, I have a tip for not getting tears while chopping onions. I have Indian roots and I've always seen my mother and grandmother use this trick to chop onions. So, after peeling the skin of onions, drop them in ice cold water. Let it sit for 2-5 minutes, and then peel them. The stinky matter which makes your eyes burn dissolves in water, isn't it obvious? Hope you found this tip useful.
    PS, love your recipes.

Put a wet paper towel next to the onion when cutting, the chemical in the onion is attracted to anything wet, that's why it goes for the eyes first, but if you use the wet towel it will absorb there, it works for me. Learned that from Ukrainians (I am).

my brother is a physics major and he told me to cut onions by the sink and have the water turned on, the molecules like to find water hense why they go into the moist eye membranes first without that tap on, or a bowl of water close by. Also a super sharp knife helps alot!
