@@PrestongSellers Do you mean you would want to be there in the studio like an audience? I don't think that's how podcasts are usually done, but ok. I watch them on RUclips if that makes a difference to you, but I don't think you can view them in person.
@@glenjennett no I just mean them in the same room recording instead of talking to each other through video chat. It just makes things smoother, and look better
@@PrestongSellers Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, a lot of people do podcasts that way, but that's hard to do unless the guest travels to the podcaster's studio. If the podcaster has different guests regularly, they may not want to pay for every guest's travel expenses or guests may not have the schedule to drop everything to travel to wherever the podcaster's studio is located. The podcaster also may not want to travel to every guest location either because that can also be expensive and then they have to lug all their equipment and the team they need everywhere they go. Plus, there is the case for keeping themselves safer by not having every guest coming to their homes since that is where many podcaster studios are located. The guest might be famous or whatever, but they are still essentially a stranger and if an interview goes sideways, the guest is in their house and knows where they live and we all know that just because someone is famous does not mean they are safe to be around, especially if they become hostile towards someone. I'm sure that is rare, but it is a possibility. I understand what you are saying though, having them in the same room talking is easier to keep the volume in sync when they are talking because often one will have a lower voice like Joe does while the guest voice booms loud and you have to adjust the volume often. I have had that happen watching different interviews with different podcasters. I hope that explains why podcasts are often done with the podcaster and guest in separate locations. I think mainly it's just easier for both parties to be in their own locations out of lack of interest to travel or they either don't want to pay the expense or don't have the schedule to travel. It's very often just easier and more practical for each side to talk from their own home. Anyway, my response is a lot longer than I expected it to be, so I am going to stop to eat my dinner.
